This Man of Sin will claim to be the true Messiah -- the true Christ and prove it with his miracles. He may also appropriate the role of Mahdi at the same time. He regards no god because he claims to be God. The Mahdi is not part of the Quran. It sprang up in the hadith after Mohammad died... Sunni's and Shia's differ on who he is and what he will do. Both say that with the help of Jesus he will defeat the Antichrist. And as I am pointing out .. if one never acknowledges the god of a religion .. ever .. then how could that religion accept the one denying their very god as their spokesman / leader? The coming beast(active now) won't have a country and his cadre of 10 nations have no kingdom and only receive authority as the beast gives it to them. The scripture really doesn't say when this act of regard either begins or ends. We know that outward acts mean nothing and it's what is in the heart of a person that makes the difference. Frrom 2 Thess and Dan 11 we see that it's the magnifying of himself over all gods that shows no regard(respect)for any other god. The Antichrist will come through a religious background and is most likely Islamic. It's coming increasingly clear that Islam is a front runner to produce the beast. The Caliph is a god on earth and thinks he has a mandate to turn everyone to worship him(check the history) This is exactly the MO of the beast, the dragon and the false prophet.

I do believe that during the Millennial Reign the earth is repopulated like the sands of the sea. Scripture says that rain is withheld from everyone who does not come to worship the Lord year after year so there are people living on the earth.
