Blessings, through the years my mom has given me sets of dishes etc to pass down to my children- a whole china cabinette full and then some lol. ( she has done this for each of her children) i have two children far away one in florida one in california ( i am in ny state) and i need to find a way to get those things to them as cheaply and safely as possible as i am not sure i will be able to maintain a place with them in it much longer. i am not sure if i should look into having them shipped somehow or use a moving company so any suggestions from people who have shipped glass heirlooms would be appreciated. i am on a very limited income atm so cost is a factor as well thanks.

Blessings Blien, The one problem in this part of ny is that there are many good teaching schools and sometimes the market here can be flooded (all depends upon timing). not sure if it is still true now but when i graduated from Nazareth in 1991 there were anywhere from 400- 1,000 applicants per job, of course that was a while ago and maybe the age of the teachers have opened up a lot more opportunities through retirement at this time so timing really does make a difference in this area. The good news is you could teach anywhere in the US if you are certified by ny state so that would increase the probability to find employment in your field maybe even warmer climates Usually at a crazy fast pace it would take you a minimum of three years bro. ny has very high requirements for teachers. You would have to either go full time over the summers and/or take an overload of recommended courses. Also some colleges only hold certain required courses at certain times of the year etc. There will be some that are required for the level of education you are going to teach and some that are required in your field and some that are generally required for a BA. I would also miss my friends here in Toronto but I do like the option I have if God gives me a change of heart.. I would love to work in a warmer climate, Toronto is just not that fun sometimes with the snow. Last night while I was thinking about it though I wonder if I could be happy anywhere else than Toronto because its the most diverse city in the world and I grew up here. I love meeting people of different cultures and learning about them. Unless I went to NYC or something, I don't know if I could really be happy elsewhere. The problem is that the baptism is not a part of the gospel. It is our response to the gospel in obedience to the command of Christ. The gospel does not teach that a person must be baptized to be saved. No, I am actually working off of the Scriptures peolpe like present me, and I am putting them back in their proper context in accordance with the intent of the authors. The problem here again is your misapplication of Scripture. Being baptized into Christ is not water immersion. It is a work of the Holy Spirit at the moment of conversion. Peter references baptism, but it is in connection with a clear conscience. Peter makes it clear that water immersion does not cleanse the flesh (which is not referring to the physical body, but of our sinful nature). Actually that is not what the Bible says about why Scripture is given to us. YOu need to read your Bible. James did not say we are not saved by faith only. James was not even talking about salvation. James chapter 2 is addressing the emptiness of a profession of faith without accompanying actions. James' issue was "show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by what I do. The object James has in mind is that our works justifying us and our profession of faith in the sight of men. James said, we are not justified (before men) by faith only. In other words, it is your actions that prove and justify your claim to be Christian. James makes the point that like love, faith is operative in nature and must be evidenced by good deeds that demonstrate salvation. No one is saying we don't have to be obedient. We are saying that obedience is/or should be the fruit of salvation. Our works should not be done out of a motive to earn salvation, but rather they should be the product and outgrowth of the salvation we already have. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him Hebrews 5:9 That command was given to Christians pertaining to how they should live out their salvation. It was not offered as a means of earning salvation. We study the Word because we are saved and because God has placed that desire in our heart. Copy and paste where one person has said we should omit baptism, or that it is not necessary to obey the commandment to be baptized. Blessings, okay this is a warning to anyone who uses and abuses a heating pad -apparently they can short out and explode. which mine did while i was in chat last night. that said i must admit that i probably crinkled the wires as i did sleep with it as well as use it when i sit down ( i used it for my back pain) acutally truth be told i have given myself a few nasty burns from it too in the past. It was a tad scary for a while last night i thought i might have started an electrical fire which thankfully i did not. Nor did i electrocute myself when i unthinkingly unplugged the end that was still connected to the surge protector so i learned not to abuse a heating pad again and to thank the Lord for keeping me safe. love your sister in Christ, Rebekah David

I visited a Christian college near there - Houghton. Haven't been to the city, though. The people there, though, swear that it's the only place to get authentic Buffalo wings. oh thats another good college Neb i forgot lol buffalo wings are authentic in our area too ( i think all of upstate) as well as white hots yummmy

well brother, what i would recommend probably would be according to what and where your interests lie. there are many private colleges Roberts Wesleyan ( which is actually in North Chili a suburb), Nazareth (which is in Pittsford a suburb) , St John fishers, RIT (Henrietta a suburb), and UofR. There are also a couple of state schools but they are in college towns nearby but not a suburb of Rochester Geneseo good school -very nice college town much closer to the finger lakes area Brockport kinda between rochester and buffalo. Roberts W is deemed a Christian college btw. I would pick Roberts or Geneseo if you are thinking about teaching non tech courses. business i would check out fisher or RIT depending tech definatly RIT . Uof R is mostly related to medical that i know of. ( thats what most students went there for in the past anyway) truthfully too bro i would look at their percentage of graduates placed in employment in your field too. love your sister in Christ, Rebekah David

Blessings brother, Yes i have been there and through there as well mostly many years ago tho. Good colleges- safety depends upon where your at and at what time etc like any other small city. Beautiful in the spring, summer, fall,very cold and snowy in the winter, used to have a neat zoo but have not been there since my children were little. just so you know some of the bills fan are a little nuts lol lots of other sports in the area too. come to a college at Rochester instead then you will be within driving distance of me and closer to the beauty of the finger lakes ( thats an area you probably would enjoy exploring beautiful simple beautiful ) love your sister in Christ, Rebekah David
