  1. Why? What value does that gold or silver hold? Can you eat it? Can your plow with it? Can you defend yourself with it? Gold has value now because there is some central system to says what it's value is. That system won't be there in the event of a collapse.
  2. Viable is the most important word. Gold had value then because there was a viable economic system in place to give gold its value. In the scenario we are speaking of that is not the case. Would you trade food or ammo for gold in the aftermath of an economic apocalypse? What purpose will gold serve in such an environment?
  3. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?425235-Why-silver-and-gold-won-t-protect-you-from-the-economic-collapse-that-s-coming
  4. seems that neither reading comprehension nor history are your things. I said "viable" not sophisticated and even a bit of historical knowledge would tell you that they were pretty darn effective economic systems.
  5. Gold held value when there was a viable economic system to support it. The very properties that made it popular back then are what will work against in after the economic apocalypse.
  6. Gold holds very little intrinsic value, it is not an overly useful metal and would be of very little use post economic apocalypse. You can't eat it. It is too soft for tools and weapons.
  7. There are 5 countries that are buying gold in any large amounts: China Russia Kazakhstan Jordan Mongolia These are not what I would call great economic role models.
  8. Gold is an relic of bygone days and not really relevant in the financial market today. The idea that after some major economic collapse gold would still hold any value is equally an antiquated idea.
  9. He was my choice and got my vote. He cut taxes in Ohio, he defunded Planned Parenthood in Ohio...2 things that all of them talk about but only one has actually done. He was done in by the mere fact he had experience thus was seen as part of the "establishment". Politics is the only profession it seems where experience is a bad thing. You don't see people picking doctors or mechanics with no experience.
  10. How did you come to the conclusion "most of the country" likes Trump. In polls he has an average favorable rating of 32% and a unfavorable rating of 61%. That is for the country as a whole, both parties. But based upon his primary results, only about 35% or so of people have liked him enough to vote for him. He has not won most of the votes in any state, so not even most of any single state likes him.
  11. Well, yes you are repeating falsehoods. First, 50% of all new business do not go bankrupt, most of that group just go out of business without reneging on their debt. Second, the bankruptcies were not all "different companies", the first two were two separate casino/resort operations that much is true. Then he combined those operations into Trump Hotel & Casino resorts which in turn went bankrupt, which he in turn renamed as Trump Entertainment Resorts, which in turn of course went bankrupt. All total the bankruptcies removed 4.7 billion dollars of debt from his companies. That is 4.7 billion dollars that bond holders, creditors, suppliers and employees were cheated out of. And despite Trump implying it was just banks that lost money (as if that makes it ok) a lot of little people were left holding the bag for him between employees not being paid, suppliers not being paid for their goods and the people whose investment accounts held Trump bonds, which included retirement accounts. Third, he did not do "better than the average" in fact he stands alone atop the bankruptcy championship. .
  12. How many times are people going to keep repeating the same false information? Trump's company was not a "new company, it was multi hundred million dollar company he got from his father. Only 5% of companies that size go bankrupt, and no company that size had ever filed bankruptcy more than twice, let alone 4 times.
  13. I saw 4 question marks all of them making accusations not unlike the famous "have you stopped beating your wife"
  14. Where did I say "on this forum". Please quit being so dishonest. I have tried to turn over a new leaf after being talked to, but you make it hard.
  15. Bill Clinton was compared to Hilter Bush II was compared to Hilter Obama has been compared to Hilter. Look up Godwin's law
  16. Back in October he thought it should be defunded...http://www.lifenews.com/2015/10/19/donald-trump-planned-parenthood-should-absolutely-be-de-funded/
  17. But abortion is legal, so you would not dis people for following the law, would you? I think the misuse of eminent domain is theft, even if the Supreme Court disagreed.
  18. That would depend on what day of the week it is and who his audience was
  19. No, because the Supereme Court declared it legal. But I am sure you agree with 100% of their rulings. You would never dos anyone for following the law would you? Say like Planned Parenthood?
  20. That is not the only time Trump has used eminent domain, that is just the most famous.
  21. Market value is not always very much when a casino is being built in the neighborhood. The bigger truth about eminent domain is that it was never intended to be used to take property from one private citizen and give it to another private citizen so they can make even more money. No citizen should be forced from their home so a rich guy can get richer. How can anyone claiming to be a conservative support such an action. Did you know that eminent domain is now being used to force churches to relocate so the city can have a higher tax income from that land? Is this something you would support?
  22. Ohh...I like being number 1, I am very competitive!
  23. I agree, just don't claim to be voting for some outsider, he is a much a part of the system as any of them, he just played a different part
