It can be tough both as a younger person, and as a young adult still living at home. While I see the point you are making about you purchasing those items with your own money, and the fact that some people at church were excluding you, the fact that you vented online about your church is what is most damaging here. Or to me it is. Churches aren't perfect. As much as we would like to be able to go to church and just be ourselves, not have to put our gaurd up, and be comfortable. . . sadly, alot of times we can't. Or a better way to say it is not everybody that goes to church goes for the right reason. Remember the lesson about the supper honoring Jesus after He raised Lazarus from the dead? There were several types of people there. Martha, of course was serving. Just like when Jesus was at her home. She felt it was better for her to be busy serving, that being with Jesus. Then there was Judas. His main concern was the cost of the sweet ointment. He could not have cared less that he was once again in the presence of Jesus. Lazarus was fresh out of the grave, but it just says he was at the table with Jesus. . .fellowshipping. And then there were several others there to see Lazarus, the freak, the side show. All the people mentioned so far were there in His presence, but for the wrong reason. But Mary was there to worship. She didn't care what the others were doing, how they acted, or what they thought. That was on them. She was there to worship Him. . . and the aroma of her worshipful attitude filled the house. I'm not getting on to you, I'm just telling you that is how I was for a long time. Then I realized the purpose for church is to worship. And I want my worship to be evident. . .all over His house. I'm praying for you.
