I am a christian who grew up Catholic, was born again at 17, married an abusive so called christian but very narcissistic husband at 18, had 4 children then divorced at 29, the month after my mom unexpectedly died young. I raised my 4 kids alone and graduated college at 33. I remained single for 17 years then became lonely and married another abusive husband. Although I have had periods if severe depression since Jr. High, I did not actually attempt suicide until my second marriage to an abuser. I hope I am past that although I still have major depression issues. My kids are all grown and I live alone in a very isolated but beautiful area.
