Well, using parables and visions to disprove soul sleep is not the best way to approach this. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" is referring to mortality and immortality and being naked in the grave. You are choosing laziness and tradition over Hebrew/Greek. Blessings. The Hebrew/Greek translation for spirit is actually "wind and breath". So according to souls being alive in heaven without bodies, people are living in heaven right now as wind and breath. That is false. If only people would take the time to study... I do believe Paul is using figurative language for the first resurrection (mortality/immortality) in 2 Cor 5:8. I do believe God can speak to us through astronomy and constellations (Job 9:9, Job 38:32, Isa 13:10), a passion that has been lost to us. John had stated that the Rev 12 sign takes place in the "heavens", specifically marking the sun, moon and stars beyond our atmosphere. Luke says "when these things begin to take place, your redemption is drawing near". I do believe the description in Rev 12:1-5 was the sign that came to pass in the "heavens" on 9/23/17. It is important to note however that the word translated rapture from Latin to Greek is "harpazo", and this word is found in 1 Thess 4:17 and Rev 12:5.
