Do you believe that child pornography is NOT a crime?  Do you believe it's a sin?

Yes child porn is sinful, but it is not an issue for the State hypocrites. Check into 'pizzagate' for the truly vile crimes of the high and mighty being kept hidden by the MSM.

Given that the Jewish and Christian communities of the time that the Bible was being complied allowed Marriage at an age most if not all USA States declare to be against Caesar's Law I take the position that the State is inserting itself into an area where it does not belong. Mis-behaving teens is something to be resolved between families, NOt by the State- a State which BTW, in its schools openly encourages sexual experimentation and then gets all righteous and judgemental when teens share pic on those IPhones they should not have in any case.

What we have here is the State as usual creating a Problem so that those cells in the private prisons can be kept filled and the politicians can keep getting campaign funds from the prison owners.

Mike, the post has nothing to do with marital-problem blaming. The author is speaking about divorce in the context of spousal abuse.

I even made a personal note under the link with regards to genders. Did you see it?

Reality is that women are more likely to be abusive than are men, sooooo again why are you blaming ONLY men?

"Jesus said what he said about divorce to protect women, not to imprison them. Divorce was a weapon foisted against women in the first century, not one they could use, and it almost always left them destitute if their family of origin couldn’t or wouldn’t step up.

"How does it honor the concept of “Christian marriage” to enforce the continuance of an abusive, destructive relationship that is slowly squeezing all life and joy out of a woman’s soul? Our focus has to be on urging men to love their wives like Christ loves the church, not on telling women to put up with husbands mistreating their wives like Satan mistreats us. We should confront and stop the work of Satan, not enable it."

*Note: Yes, the same could be said for abusive wives, but more often than not it is the wives who suffer.

Sooooooo, your claim is that the fault in a failed marriage routinely lies with the husband?

What or where is your proof. You have to pony up here mike, come with some solid stuff, evidence is the stuff we are after.  Have any ?????.

The proof is easily available for those who care to look. Really, the chore is for those who claim the false stills and videos to be real.

We have to be decerning about what tv shows put out. You might be right that there is no other life.

'there are no other life forms.' Is this just opinion or do you have some level of evidence? That the Bible does not mention alien life is not a proof that such does not exist.

Does anyone think God may have created other worlds filled with life ? And would they have beings created in his image ? I myself hope so. I also would hope they did not fall like Adam did. They would be eternal beings with a christ like image. But would they be his children too ? God can do anything in my view. There a lot of planets out in space. More then we can ever count. My hope is the whole creation is teeming with created life.

The Bible is silent on the issue which BTW has nothing to do with human salvation.

Well in 2015 NASA said the following.

New findings from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) provide the strongest evidence yet that liquid water flows intermittently on present-day Mars.

At the same time, some people think, man never been to the moon and the whole thing was filmed in a studio.

Man has been to the moon, BUT.......what video we see was quite obviously done on a sound stage. Likely because the real video was of very poor quality.

Still, there were more than two people there, and its unlikely they were going to stay in a group, why did He tell them, whoever does not have a sword to buy one, but then only two people had one?  That means a great many would have no sword for self defense, kind of defeats the argument?

Why are you so desperate to argue that Christians must make themselves easy prey for the thugs of Society? A position that 99% of Christians have actively rejected over the past 2100 years.

Yes, I like that.  Now, I wonder, after Jesus rose from the dead, why didn't the apostles gather together and protect themselves, why did they all but one I believe, die of unnatural causes?  Why didn't the early churches band together and defend their members?  Didn't they understand the self defense that is being promoted here?  These are not just argumentative questions, I really do think on these and wonder.

Because that was not their Role in that time and place. BTW, since we are talking early Church as a Role Model- are YOU putting all of your Property into a common pot with other local Believers? If NOT, why not?

Also check out Nehemiah chapter 4. They Jews when they were rebuilding the wall carried weapons with them for protection in case someone came up against them while rebuilding the wall. God did not rebuke them for doing this. As a matter of fact the Lord continued to bless the building of the wall. It was smart leadership on the part of Nehemiah. So I see no problem with having a weapon for self defense.

Hmnmmmm, if we have no Godly responsibility to bear arms in defense of our Community no wall would be needed.

Well, there you go! An excellent example of a weapon used in scripture, by a man after God's heart!  Though, didn't David say his battle with Goliath was for a different purpose?  Did he say it was to defend property?

Another question I have, are we to become more and more like David, or Someone else?

Lets just say IF you are all that HOT to make YOUR Family into fodder for thugs , then do it. Just don't try to force your error on the rest of us.

  12. 4 minutes ago, other one said:

Yes he did, but it isn't really just simple.  The sling that David used to kill Goliath and protect his sheep has the same knockdown power as a 45 cal semi automatic hand gun at 25 to 30 yards, but in the hands of someone like David much more accurate.

So YES it is quite simple. David (future King of Israel) used a weapon to defend his Family's Property.

But you won't be a beggar for God will care of you just like he'll take care of my family when thugs break into my house....   no difference really.,,,  no difference at all.

Yet every day we see people go hungry in the streets and the unarmed murdered by thugs. Often these are people who appear utterly sincere in their Christian Faith........................Could it be that however sincere they maybe they are wrong about what God expects from us. Perhaps it is those folks who work hard and keep weapons at hand to battle the wolves who are REALLY what God wants us to be. BTW, did David (future king) use weapons to defend his flock of sheep from predators? Simple Yes or No question.

How is self-defense NOT trusting the Lord?   Can we not trust the Lord to help us defend ourselves and our families?   It seems you are the one with the all or nothing scenario if we are supposed trust the Lord OR defend ourselves.

Those who marched behind Charles Martel to stop the moslems at Tours, Those who sailed with Don Juan at Lepranto to smash the moslem Turks, th e Poles who marched to the walls of Vienna to drive off the moslem Sultan's invasion were all fervent Chrisians who went into battle against heavy odds because they trusted God for the Outcome.
