  1. Ephesians 5:22-28 explains it quite well.

We are to submit to our husband's authority, but he is to love us as Christ loves the church.  As wives, we are also called to be our husband's helpmate, which means we are also supposed to help them with these decisions, however.

1 Peter 3 even goes so far as to tell us that this is how wives can minister to our unsaved husbands.

  2. On ‎6‎/‎13‎/‎2017 at 9:00 PM, HAZARD said:

John 1:  1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2, The same was in the beginning with God.
3, All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4, In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 1: 14, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Word, who was with God and also was God, and has been God and with God throughout eternity past,  as a member of the Godhead, He became flesh so that He could die for our sins. As God he could not die, but as a man He could die.

It was He who created everything, spoke with Adam appeared to and spoke with Abraham and Moses.

The Word, before He became flesh even spoke with and wrestled with Jacob, and named him Israel.

    Gen. 32:24-39;

24, And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
25, And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26, And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
27, And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28, And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
29, And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

When I first read this, I was going to reference the Trinity, and then I was going to reference John 1! So I guess I don't really have anything to say anymore as others took care of it for me!

  3. This is a very difficult situation!  I'm sorry that it happened, and I'm glad that you are no longer with this man. My first thought was that you have to tell her.  I would want to know if it were me, because you cannot heal something until you know how broken it is.

You need to pray a lot about this before making a decision one way or another. People have referenced scripture from both sides, so I don't need to do that, but Phillippians 4:6: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Proverbs 3:6: In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

There are a lot more, but the point is, He wants us to come to Him with these things before we decide, and before we do them.

Keep in mind also, that there is an extremely good chance that her reaction to this isn't going to be very good.  She is not likely to be outwardly thankful immediately upon hearing this.  I am not saying this to discourage you from telling her.  Simply to remind you that when you do, make sure you bring your grace, mercy, and a thick skin.  You will likely need all three.

  4. I love this!  I am a music ministry director.  What a lot of people don't realize is that musical worship comes really easily to some, and doesn't really come easily to others, but if you're making a joyful noise for the Lord, the Spirit will use your music to share His word.
