My elderly neighbor in my new condo community lost her husband the first week I was here. Today is the funeral. I felt compelled to pray for her and then I was urged to go pray with her and her daughter.

I let the Holy Spirit speak asking God to give this family peace and assurance at this time. Remembering that Jesus died for all our sins so that we may live eternally.

I invited them to visit my church and I offered to drive as well.

Tomorrow is a life celebration for all those who live in the condo community who knew Jim.

Both mom and daughter are thankful and blessed by my little prayer and said they needed something like that this morning. Amen!

I have just lost my mother this morning, after an rather amazing long 94 years she has passed away. And yes I hurt even though I know she has had a very full life. I will miss her, just as I miss my father. That pain is part of what  makes me aware of the contrast that is joy in life.
