Please help me figure out ideas and ways as I'm hoping to show everyone that if you believe and trust God will provide even when you have no one and don't know where to turn.

Greetings, Gabes. Blessings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.

You can trust Him, I promise you. Just keep calling out to Him in prayer incessantly, not just hourly but continually. Whenever worry and anxiety crosses your mind about your situation (any of it), just immediately switch over into to telling God that you trust Him, and that you know He is going to provide for you and your son.

Along with praying continually, reciting these words to yourself and God as you go about your daily activities. It will build your faith. It is the 23rd Psalm:

"The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. You preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. You anointest my head with oil. My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever."

I suppose you might call me a "closet Christian".

You see, when I was younger and rebellious against my parents, I had made the decision to become an atheist. Within that time period, they would make passing remarks such as, "you'll be a Christian again someday" or "you'll come around". It drove me up the wall, as I felt it was a form of disrespect towards my decision, as it was with many things at the time. I felt as if they didn't take me seriously. While those times have passed and I realize it is... Perhaps a sort of pettiness on my end, i'm not sure how to or even IF I should reveal to them my "return". I can just picture them putting a hand on my shoulder and saying that they told me so, laughing about it. A part of me, perhaps that teenager that felt that they were treated as a fool, just feels like that would be a loss. I mean, I was being foolish, but writing me off just didn't help.

I just don't know if I should tell them, nor do I know how i'd go about that, really.

Even in everyday life, I really don't leave the confines of my closet. I don't if it seems like it would be awkward to bring up in everyday conversation or what, I just don't know what one revealing oneself as a Christian means. Jesus did not like that the Pharisees and teachers of the law preached and prayed in the streets where all could see, for the sake of being praised by men. Is it just a matter of not doing it to be praised by men? The bible makes many mentions of both things being put out there for all to see and other things kept behind closed doors. I'm just uncertain as to how to proceed.

So, yeah. I'm looking for advice as far as my parents and socializing in general.

dr3032, be of good courage. You could eventually end up shedding more light on the truth than they do, at which point they may have no choice but to take you more seriously, LoL. The lamp on a lampstand teaching was about more than just expressing one's faith in Christ. It was about receiving and sharing far greater revelation from God than anything the Pharisees and scribes could offer, and not being afraid or discouraged from doing so no matter what the circumstances.

Christ's teaching in the Parable of the Sower was a command to allow the word to grow within you so fully (up to 30, 60, or 100 fold) that it couldn't help but pour forth into others, due to your having given yourself to the study of His word so much that it just begins happening naturally. When you open your mouth - to your parents or anyone else for that matter - the word just comes pouring forth in wisdom and revelation from God. So dedicate yourself to Him completely. In time, it may be you who becomes the instructor to your family, and if they pat you on the back now then maybe you can pat them on the back later (in a good spirit, of course), and let them know you understand, and that sometimes it just takes people a little while to come around is all, LoL.

Be encouraged. God is a righteous Judge, and He will set every record straight.

It appears you are dead wrong. Their site themselves call it a TRANSLATION. Please use discernment In these matter or you end up abetting their deception.

LoL. It doesn't matter what anyone calls it! Ha! Any translator worth his salt knows a translation from a paraphrase. Just because they call it a "translation" doesn't actually make it one, Yowm.

The Passion Translation, authored by Brian Simmons, has inserted these words into the mouth of Christ:

"For you reach into my heart. With one flash of your eyes I am undone by your love, my beloved, my equal, my bride. You leave me breathless-I am overcome by merely a glance from your worshiping eyes, for you have stolen my heart..." Song of Songs 4:9  (TPT)

Much can of course be said about interpreting Song of Songs/Solomon to be about Christ and the Church, but to even suggest, nevermind blatantly have Jesus call us His "equal", is beyond erroneous, it is heretical and even blasphemous. The worst of it is that, thanks to Brian Simmons and his "Passion Translation", people can now argue that mankind's equality with God is Biblical.

Honestly, I do not know how terrible the deception in the Church has to be before more people are willing to stand up and speak up to warn brothers and sisters in Christ.

The Passion Translation is used and promoted by Bethel Redding, (Bill Johnson) and by Georgian and Winnie Banov, and who knows how many others. It seems to be a favourite "translation" in the loosely organized but very broad and fast growing NAR.

I encourage all Christians to do their research on this.

Here are several screenshots from the Banov's Facebook page, where they repeatedly promote this heretical and blasphemous doctrine of equality with God (among other equally horrendous claims).

    Thoughts?

I did a bit of reading on it just now through Bible Gateway.com, and it is not a translation. It is without question a paraphrase, so it's hard to even discuss its "translations" seriously. Nowhere in the Masoretic or LXX does it use words that mean "equal" in this verse. The words mean "bride" or "spouse."

  5. The following quote by Thomas a' Kempis, "What is more at rest than a heart focused solely on You, and what is more free than the person who desires nothing on earth? We should rise above all creatures, therefore, and perfectly forsake ourselves and remain in an intense joy of mind as we see that among all creatures there is nothing like You, the Creator of all things."

I've also gotten encouragement from the first Chapter of Rick Joyner's The Torch and The Sword lately, in that it points out how the manifest Presence of God is something we should strife to give ourselves to continually, for it is through this that His power and Presence is manifest in our lives and ministries.  I need to finish that entire work, so thanks for reminding me.

    Blessings in Christ.

A little under two years ago, I started talking to a colleague at work. At first, I was just simply attracted to his appearance but the more we started talking, the more my feelings developed. He comes from a Catholic background, he goes clubbing, drinks and he smokes marijuana. I can always resist the temptation to go clubbing (or pubbing should I say) but when I have been invited and I know he'll be there, I'll instantly agree to tag along. I left my job, the autumn of last year, he attended my leaving do and we were inseparable for the night, outside in the smoking area (I don't smoke by the way), next to each other in photos and on the dancefloor.

I secured and left three positions after this job in question but I ended up returning to this same company office, a little over a week ago. The only difference is, I am now working in another department. My main problem is, I cannot stop thinking about him, he is constantly on my mind. I'm a little confused, I understand that God has a reason for everything he does but I don't understand why/how I ended back at the same company for my crush to resume.

I understand that we must not be unequally yoked, in my mind as I am sure some believers have been in my position, I'm hopeful that he his relationship with God will blossom. I'm about 75% sure that the feeling is mutual (maybe not to my extent but there is some certainty he may feel the same way) I have prayed on it but what else should I do?

I noticed you've already worked through the issue, so just thought I'd give you a word of encouragement. I've been there, and it can sometimes be much more than just physical attraction. Sometimes you just really hit it off with the person even though they're unsaved. The personalities just click in spite of it. The problem is this: It's only a matter of time before the infatuation starts to wear a little thin, and then the religious differences start to come more to the forefront... and eventually it creates a division, and ultimately things ugly, at least they did for me. I can't tell you for certain this would happen, but it's likely.

Just sharing with you from one who went through it.

    Blessings in Christ.

I care too much about almost everyone and I'm wondering if anyone else is like me. For example, the longer I know someone the more valuable I consider knowing him/her. Up until 20 yrs ago this wasn't a problem, I always knew people who throw other people away (for no good reasons that is). I made sure I didn't get overly attached to them. But 20 yrs ago this became like an epidemic in my life. 20 yrs ago the entire family on my father's side stopped associating with me. Since I have no immediate family, brothers, sisters, wives or ex-wives, and I made sure I didn't have any kids out of wedlock. On my mother's side they all died except 1 female cousin. She's the new age queen, her and her husband even started a false church. He's the only minister I know of that charges money to hear him speak. What a shame, on the one hand it proves how hungry Americans are to know God, but on the other hand it shows how ignorant we are about God.A true minister can ask for donations, they all do. But this guy charges $75 an hour and what he teaches is false. So I can't be close to them. To make matters worse most of my father's side consider themselves Saved. What's more I was the first to switch from Catholicism to a Bible believing Christian. They should be the first to want to associate with me. Or maybe I'm nuts.

I realize that I'm making a lot of posts about this lately. I apologize for this. I just feel like I can't take this much longer.

JTC, I know how you feel, and I hope you are ok. No one is my family knew Jesus Christ, so when I got saved I had to distance myself from them for several years. I never have really gotten close to any of them again, but I gave my life the Lord, and after 40 years of walking with Him he has started to give me many more friends and spiritual "family" to spend time with. This is a promise from God to us (Mark 10:29-30).

Just keep walking with God and seeking to be evermore useful to Him. The more you do this, the more He will bring you to a place of having other believers around you to serve God with. He might even send you a wife eventually. I read through some of your other responses, and I know it can be tough fighting through physical conditions, but be a fighter. Believe God is going to take care of you in every way, and keep giving every day to Him, offering Him your service. He will make a way for you if you make a way for Him.

Blessings in Christ, and if you need anyone to talk to, just send me a conversation,

    Hidden In Him

  8. Today I am thankful for His word and for the many revelations He has given me, and for the call He has placed on my life. I'm also thankful that He guides me every step of the way through the leading of His Holy Spirit.

    Lastly, I'm thankful for watermelon, especially when it's cold. ? ? ?

  9. Note: I just augmented the interpretation in the OP slightly. The man and woman "in the back of a car" has sexual innuendo in it, and in all likelihood actually refers to Stormy Daniels, whom Trump had an affair with back in 2006. This is actually his biggest legal problem. She originally agreed to keep her silence just prior to the 2016 election through a deal made with Trump's lawyer, yet Mueller uncovered evidence three weeks ago that the payment she received for keeping her end of the deal actually came through a Russian oligarch named Viktor Vekselberg.

It means the sister and husband "in the back of a car" is a reference to this affair, which in all likelihood is what leads to his arrest and incarceration.

  10. I received a troubling dream yesterday from a new friend who has received numerous dreams with warnings that have come to pass.

She sent me four dreams she received before he was even elected about the Trump Presidency, but this one in particular stood out to me, because it suggests he may end up being cast into prison for some form on impropriety by his enemies in Washington.

I will post the dream first and the interpretation afterwards:

"Had a dream that I was in an arena. It looked like a really old ball park that only had dirt on the ground or it could also be a spanish matador arena. Some people were gathered there, I don't know how many, I just remember a few; 20-40 people. At that moment someone announced that Donald won the elections. Trump was in the arena very calm and then said, "ok people, lets start cleaning up". I noticed in the arena there were soda cans all over so the people there started picking them up. I remember seeing my sister and her husband in the back of a car and a man who placed a white duck behind bars, it didn't look like a cage, it looked like a cell; three cement walls and one with bars."

    The meaning is this:
The arena was/ is "the political arena," and the "old ball park" is likely a play on words for how, in Washington, they "play hard ball" so to speak. The 20-40 people gathered here are sworn enemies of Trump, and when Trump says "Ok people, let's start cleaned up [the arena]," this is a reference to his promise to "clean up the swamp" (i.e. Washington) after he got elected. Not that I am using disparaging terms myself, but the Spirit is actually depicting his enemies here as "soda cans," or in other words the "trash" that society would throw out if they knew the truth.

But the problem is this: The rest of the dream suggests that rather then "clean up" the political arena, Trump is going to get arrested. The sister and husband "in the back[seat] of a car" is suggestive of sexual indiscretion playing a role in his arrest (more on this in a moment)*, and then a man places "a white duck behind bars.. a cell, with three cement walls and one with bars." It means he will be incarcerated. "White duck" here is a play on the Disney character "Donald Duck" (someone not taken seriously) and refers to Donald Trump, with the white referring to the fact that he is actually innocent.

For those who think it not possible, please watch the following video. I realize CNN often exaggerates to paint Trump in a bad light, but this may indeed be serious, and I believe it is a call to prayer for our President.

    Hidden In Him

*Since receiving this dream, I have realized that the sexual innuendo of the sister and husband "in the back of a car" is in all likelihood a reference to the affair Trump had with Stormy Daniels, which ultimately will lead to his arrest and indictment. While I believe in intercessory prayer, I'm getting the sense that this prophecy is not going to be averted. Only deep intercession would prevent it, and most of the church isn't paying attention right now. Warnings have gone forth several times to pray for the man in the past, yet at some point you get lulled to sleep, and I sense that's what's happening now.

And the strategy Trump and Giuliani are now banking on now is weak: It appears they believe a ground swell of public support will somehow oppose the move to potentially have him indicted (it would indeed be unprecedented in the history of US politics at the Presidential level). But these will be legal charges, which would make public support null and void, meaning that they're adopting a plan that doesn't instill a great deal of confidence and in all likelihood will not hold any weight.

What he needs is divine intervention of some sort to turn things in his favor, so I ask for those who love the current President of the United States to intercede to God on his behalf.

Oh I would definitely go back in time to Jerusalem when Jesus was ministering and just sit in awe while He taught me...I would ask Him a zillion questions...

    I bet you would, LoL.

After further thought, if I had to choose one I'd choose Paradise before the fall. I'd love to see what the earth was like before it was corrupted, before Adam and Eve were deceived and death entered the world, when the animals lived in peace together, and there was no such thing as suffering and sorrow. :)

I HAVE BEEN IN HORRIBLE PAIN FROM MY SPINE SINCE INJURING MYSELF ON APRIL 25TH. IT IS BECOMING UNBEARABLE. I'M BEING TAKEN TO A CHIROPRACTOR 40 MILES AWAY TOMORROW. I DREAD THE LONG TRIP IN SUCH PAIN. BUT IT WILL BE WORTH IT IF HE CAN HELP ME. YOUR PRAYERS ARE MUCH NEEDED!!

Praying for you Turtle. Keep believing God, and keep seeking Him with everything you have. He calls us as servants, so vow to Him that you wish to be healed so that you can give the rest of your life to His service, and believe in Him that He can and will heal you if you keep believing.

I've heard that we must wait on God to tell us what to do before we launch out to do whatever it is God wants us to do. Others have said something like "You can't steer a parked car." What say you?

I think my answer would be different today than before. You most certainly do have to wait on God sometimes, and the answer is because He has to line things up in His timing. I have encountered situations now where you basically CAN'T steer the car. The thing won't even budge. You just have to sit there, parked, waiting for thing to turn over and move... it's infuriating, but the way things are sometimes. God calls you to obedience and patience; to just sit there until the time comes.

Okay here is something I heard a contestant on Jeopardy share a question he poses to his students....I thought it would be fun to hear responses here in the forum..

So given that time travel is now possible but you can only travel once in a lifetime there and back....which period would you want to travel to and why?

The time before the flood. Not to simply visit, but to see for myself just how bad things had gotten before judgment came. I'd want to see if the descriptions provided in Enoch 1 were indeed true, and talk to Enoch personally myself.

    Cheerful answer? :)

Since you asked the question, what period would you go back to. My second answer would be Paradise, before the fall of Adam and Eve.
