in terms of spiritual praying aka praying in the spirit of is tongues, what has personally helped you?  Usually for me to get "into" it I use a worship song but what works for you?

Fasting. The less I eat, the more I pray and vice versa. When the flesh is brought under, the spirit rises to ascendancy, and one starts praying in tongues naturally without even being conscious of it. It also happens a lot without fasting, of course, but as far as being able to switch into anointed tongues during prayer normally, it usually takes an extended time of praying with my mind, anywhere between 20-40 minutes usually.

Worship does indeed facilitate it for some, btw. Just depends on the person, and how quickly they can enter into true worship.

    James chapter 4 verse 12

There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you--who are you to judge your neighbor?

I sometimes speak like I'm the law giver and judge, and just want to say I'm sorry, I'd be smart to leave it to the pastors.

    James chapter 3 verse 1,2

Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

I thought I should teach since I read or listened to the bible about 200 times, but the bible doesn't say teach if you've studied the bible a lot.

    So once again SORRY.

Not sure what that is all about, but it's a nice confession.

Humility is a good sign, and very becoming of believers in Jesus Christ.

I was walking along a beach and looked out into the ocean.  I could see into the waters and their was a massive treasure in the water .

The treasure  went up into the sky and the clouds then rained it down unto the ground. I was going around picking up the golden pieces in the mud,

and every time I cleaned one off it had the number TWO on it .

Greetings, Friend Of! The Lord brought to my remembrance that I never interpreted this dream for you, so here's what I'm getting:

This is a continuation (in the positive sense now) of the issue of your spiritual hunger, referred to in your third dream when it described you as starving spiritually. The symbolism of the gold pieces is in reference to the true riches of God, i.e. wisdom and revelation from Him (Luke 16:11). That you saw it in the waters meant you saw it "buried" in a sense (the symbolism is a play on the term "buried treasure"). That it is caught up to Heaven and then rains back down again is a reference to the Holy Spirit Himself delivering to you the "hidden riches" (Isaiah 45:3), as your Teacher (John 16:13). But these gold pieces would still need to be picked up and cleaned off of "mud," i.e. anything that makes them "unclean." Once you would "clean" each one off, it would have the number TWO written on it. This is the significant part here, so I want you to pay close attention: Our Lord compared a man well instructed in the word of God to a man bringing forth out of his treasure things (read here revelations/ proper interpretations) both OLD and NEW. What Jesus meant was that the Spirit of God will reveal revelation to His servants from both the Old and New Testaments. The NET even uses the word "treasure chest" here. ("Every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom from heaven is like the master of a household who brings both new and old things out of his treasure chest." Matthew 13:52). This is what the number "TWO" means. Many times you will see revelations from God overlap in the Old and New Testaments, and confirm each other by this means. New Testament writers were continually illustrating this principle in their writings.

So the dream ends up being a promise that as of your conversation to Christ you would no longer starve spiritually. The Spirit of God Himself would become your Teacher and grant you spiritual riches which you would bring out of your treasure chest, both old and new. Hope it helps. This is one is definitely more uplifting than the one about you turning into a bloated, starving guy in a closet, LoL.

Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

Wonderful verses, sister. I was actually just on another Forum viewing a very divisive and contentious thread, and reading these verses couldn't be more like breath of fresh air. :)

That is it in a nut shell Other One, but there is yet another question.  What do we mean when we speak of good works?  Are we talking about things we actually do for others, or are we talking about abstaining from sin?  I never looked at it as doing a good work because I don't steal, kill, commit adultery, etc.  A good work would be giving to the poor, or perhaps helping someone with no money with home repairs if we are good at such things.  Good works to me are things we do.

That's an interesting distinction... although it still kinda skirts the issue, IMO, since in James 2:14-17 the question is about good works (even as you define them) verses merely trusting in faith alone... sorry, I'm just thinking out loud as I'm writing...

For me, the best way to understand this issue is through the terms "sons of obedience" and "sons of disobedience," and the analogy of being adopted as sons. An adopted son doesn't do anything to save himself, but if he wishes to become a true part of the family he will be expected to conform himself to the will of the Father. So too with us.

Is salvation through obedience? No. Salvation is through grace alone. But I believe that grace bestowed upon us can be cancelled out if we refuse to conform ourselves to the father's will and walk in obedience to Him, especially in matters very important to Him like forgiveness (Matthew 18:21-35), and also ministering to those in need if they belong to God and we have the capacity to (Matthew 25:31-46).

Btw, PG4, my apologies if posting a "funny" to your post offended you any. For many it's not a laughing matter, especially if someone really goes after you about something. It can disturb your peace, and even effect your walk with Christ if the situation is bad enough. Just understand that the Lord will intervene and set you on higher ground if you just ask Him to, so that you are again among those who care for you and rescued from continued contact with those who do not.

It's not that bad, LoL. I know disagreements tend to dominate the various Christian Forums, and much of it can be in a spirit that is not of God. But it's important to remember that there should be a place, in a Spirit of Love, for good honest debate and discussion as well, so I welcome it so long as it's among those who have humble Spirit in them.

Trust me, I've seen some really nasty stuff posted on Christian Forums before (and even been a part of it a few times), so I can safely say that although there is the occasional tension here at Worthy as well, this is like a Sunday walk in the park compared to what I've seen elsewhere. Worthy is actually relatively well behaved in this department, which is a credit to this community.

Your entire post was well put and to the point. However, truth cannot be compromised.  At the end of the day, the truth of the gospel cannot be entangled with other false doctrines and compromised be reached for the sake of compassion and sympathy.  Paul admonish us to fight the good fight of faith .

Matthew 10:16 .   we are to be wise as serpent and gentle as doves.   Yes, we have to be civil, caring and the rest, but the gospel truth cannot be twisted to accommodate the lies of the enemy who is clever in his schemes to keep men captured into false doctrines and slavery.

That conversation with your friend can be nostalgic and mutual on many fronts, but he has to know that purgatory for example is not a part of the gospel and which he may be placing his hope in.  He can be shown this, however in a gentle ways.  If, however you left there without letting him know that salvation is found only through the Lord Jesus Christ ,then it should prick your conscience that your witness was not complete.

I was waiting on a post like this coming from someone eventually, LoL. And I take no offense to it. But I doubt if I would come away with my conscience convicting me anymore than his will convict him. One of the first things I shared with him was that part of what eventually caused me to turn to God was EWTN (indirectly), and that's the truth. I used to play in heavy metal/ thrash bands until I was 21, and I quit the last band I was in and came back to live with my mother. She put me up in a room with nothing but a couch and a little TV that caught two channels, EWTN and some sports channel that played nothing but hockey 24/7. Eventually the Catholic channel started rubbing off on me enough to where I asked my mom if we had a Bible. None of my family were religious, but she did happen to have a Bible. As I began reading it, and after a while I thought to myself, "If people lived by this Book, the world would be a much better place." So I started attempting to, and eventually received the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior through faith.

But along with sharing this with my friend, I also shared numerous things that indirectly shine light on how much of Catholicism is lacking in some areas (especially where manifesting spiritual gifts is concerned). At the same time, he pointed out how some Catholic leaders down through history have indeed walked in true supernatural gifts of God. So what ended up happening was I was planting seeds branching away from Catholicism while he was demonstrating that Catholicism has produced some great saints down through the centuries.

I have met people from all different Christian denominations that I enjoyed fellowship with, because the Spirit within them was kindred with the One in me, regardless of the doctrinal differences. Likewise, I have met those who appeared to believe nearly all the same things I do, yet had a very critical and judgmental Spirit that was far from the One in me. So in the end, for me it boils down not to doctrine but to the Spirit that is within us. If we have that same Spirit, He will lead us into unity eventually. If, however, we do not, even the unity we may think we have will eventually be torn apart by strife.

I appreciate your reply and I understand your response. The conscience does indeed need to be obeyed. You are absolutely correct in that. I had another occasion a few months back where a dear sister of mine was steeped in sins and demonic oppression (very bad case, with very powerful and evil spirits), and the Spirit within me could no longer tolerate sitting idly by and saying nothing to her about some of the things she was doing. So I chastised her over it, not with words intended to condemn but to warn. She ended up rejecting me completely and telling me I had demons in me and that "God" would no longer allow her to communicate with me. It broke my heart, but I had to say what needed to be said.

So I do know when the Spirit convicts me about someone, and I will indeed chastise them if the Spirit of God leads me to, even if it means being rejected by people I love, and even being kicked off of Forums that I enjoy being a part of.

I just don't feel any such convictions in this particular case.

    God bless,

“Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up” James. 5:14, 15

The Bible says that if anyone is sick, then they should call for the elders of the church to pray and be anointed with oil. We do this in my church. But sometimes the person who is sick is not in the service. So someone will come up and asked to be anointed for them in their place. I have always wonder if that works the same? Can you sit in for someone else and be anointed in their place if they are not there? I really don't know if it means the same or not? Thoughts Please.

I've read through the responses and I have to say I've appreciated nearly all of them. It can be tough taking an absolute hard line on something like this. However, if I had any voice with the leadership who were using this particular practice, I would ask for an answer to the following line of questioning:

The anointing oil represents the outpouring of the power of God to heal, just as when Jesus said "I felt power go out from Me." (Luke 8:46). There the point of contact was the hem of His garment, whereas in James the anointing oil was used. If the power were to be taken to the sick by the substitute through a point of contact such as a handkerchief (Acts 19:12), that would make some sense. But if the person is simply being "anointed in their place," and the point of contact is not actually making contact with the sick person themselves... doesn't it cancel out the entire principle of point of contact? The elders were chosen because the anointing would transfer by the hands of those closest to God directly to the sick.  And what about the practice of laying on of hands? If someone greatly anointed of God were to lay hands on someone standing in another person's place, doesn't the substitute become the recipient of the outpouring or the spiritual gift?

I would think simply speaking the word of healing to the substitute who would then go to the sick person, as Jesus did with the centurion, or using some form of point of contact properly would be better than having a substitute simply stand in their place. Though well intended, this practice seems to undermine several principles taught in the word of God, including the one outlined in James.

I used to take it's no longer I that live but Christ in me as meaning I needed to disappear and be replaced by Jesus.  Now, I've come to see this verse as talking about the source of our life.

I agree. I don't think we "disappear," but rather shine His light as created to. To use an analogy, I see each human being as a type of unique prism through which either Christ shines His light (as intended to), or demons do, as a type of "negative," where all the colors are reversed and instead reflect the darkness rather than the Light. So it is not about trying to "discipline" the darkness, but rather shine the Light.

But my issue is this: To what extent do we shine the light of Christ? I believe expressions such as "not I but Christ" and "it is no longer I that live but Christ that lives in me” are most clearly displayed when we manifest supernatural gifts (1 Corinthians 12:8-12), as these are the clearest and most undeniable way to display the principle; that it is no longer we who live but Christ who is living in us.

I realize this may not be the goal set by everyone in church leadership today, but I consider it a problem that ought to be fixed. We will never attain to what we never strive for.

Let me preface this by stating I am an unashamed, full-gospel Christian. My wife and I were saved in the early 70s back in the old Jesus Movement days, and in the intervening 45 years we've seen God do some amazing things.

That said, in my opinion, what this church is doing is plain old bat-crazy. Read the article, and tell me what you think.

    http://www.faithwire.com/2018/04/25/well-known-atlanta-pastor-is-adding-scantily-clad-aerialists-into-worship-services/

Yeah... I looked him up. I'm willing to give people the benefit of the doubt initially, and at first I thought this "innovative" approach to expressing worship wouldn't be so bad in and of itself if it were packaged together with powerful exposition of the written word of God and genuine manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

But after watching a couple of videos of this guy, he's part of this new breed of "apostle" who defines the term as someone who branches out or is "sent" into new territory. But anyone who founds a church in one area and then starts another one somewhere else is just expanding, not becoming "an apostle." He comes off as about 3 parts hype, 3 parts hip, 3 parts self-styled "revelation," and 1 part "innovations" (i.e. aerialists)... I hate to be critical, but he just strikes me as someone who is building his church on the foundation of his own personal charisma, and when you do that it often ends up being pretty much anything goes.

Your post reminds me of a book I read a while back called Quitting Church, and how many who came to Christ during the Jesus Movement days can no longer tolerate what they see happening in churches today. A "circus" is sort of the impression they get. Everything appears to be mostly for entertainment purposes. At first glance, the hype of that sort of thing can make you want to believe in it, but it doesn't take long before you are sitting there experiencing no real spiritual growth and wondering, "What on earth is really happening here?" The younger generation have nothing to compare it to, so they don't know what an aberration it is, but for older Christians it's just not something they recognize as having much to do with Christianity anymore.

I wish I could take a more positive position on this guy, but any movement not founded upon the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and not led by the Spirit of God is destined to end badly. As the scripture says, "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it." One of the best men to build this kind of a ministry was Pastor Zachary Tims, who built up an extremely large following in a very short time. But he ended up dead of a drug overdose in his hotel room one night. It's sad, but I think this type of "church" is the result of merging Christianity with the entertainment culture. They become stars, and instead of becoming a glorification of the Lord Jesus Christ it becomes the opposite: the glorification of a man...

very sad what usually happens in the end.

  13. Isaiah 60: 1-3  Arise, shine; for thy light is come.  And the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.  For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth.  And deep darkness the people:  But the LORD shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee.  And the Gentile shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Let me explain just why this is such a marvelous passage in this context of the following quote:

On 4/23/2018 at 10:41 AM, Still Alive said:

In all seriousness, I believe that the "Christianity hating" left will regain power again, and this time it will be no holds barred. It could be in 2020, or 2024. But I believe it will almost be like an "unlocking of the gates of hell" type of thing.

The almost "opposite world" that was being created by the left, that is utterly fizzling out under the voices of sanity today (enabled by the election of Trump...), is only on hold. When these people and others like them are again silenced, I believe the left will return, this time with a vengeance...

I fully agree with this, and it is one of the more insightful posts in the thread. But Satan will not be calling the shots here; our God will. Satan's moves will be reactionary to what God is doing. The words "the LORD shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee" are a reference to outpourings of the Holy Spirit, and how the glory of God will be seen upon His saints in how He manifests Himself through spiritual gifts and miracles that will confirm His word with increasingly great signs and wonders following. Satan would prefer to be able to just keep ignoring and dismissing Christianity as "outdated" and irrelevant to modern society, but the manifestation of greater signs and wonders are what will leave him no choice but to begin attacking the saints, to scare people away from a faith that is increasingly being taken evermore seriously by those who witnesses His works of power.

The words "For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth. And deep darkness the people" is a reference to how the world will have no clue about what is happening. Their deception will grow deeper and deeper as darkness begins to cover the earth. But the opposite will be happening to His saints. For those who do not reject the gifts of the Spirit in operation, the words "Arise, shine; for thy light is come" will be fulfilled. The prophetic gifts in particular are going to fully manifest again (Joel 2:28), and with them an increasing light will be bestowed upon His people, not just about coming prophetic events, but about the scriptures themselves as well. It was one thing to read about New Testament persecution and believe it happened, but another thing to know about it from experience, to where one identifies with the stories of scripture rather than just assenting to them.

In Heart2Soul's dream (see P.2), she may well have in part represented the church as a whole, in that a large part of the church in America has not yet fully had ears to hear a message about suffering with Christ in order to share with Him in His glory. The common message today, even among conservative Christian circles, is often that being "blessed" means having a nice car, a fine house, a healthy family, a happy marriage, a successful career.

Certainly anyone who loves the saints desires to see them prosper and be in good health, even as their soul propers (3 John 1:2). But the question becomes, IS our soul truly prospering if we have a twisted and perverted understanding of what true Christianity is all about?! Jesus also said "Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." (Matthew 5:10-12).

Those who enter into Christ's sufferings will likewise share in His glory (2 Timothy 2:11-12), with the implication being that those who are rich in eternity will be even more "blessed" than those who just faired well in this life.

I am also now recalling a prophecy recently about how the Lord is going to begin raising up Christian martyrs again, not just in far away lands, but in this country as well.

I'll see if I can't find it and post a transcript of it here later.

*[[2Ch 34:32]] KJV* And he CAUSED all that were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.

Josiah CAUSED everyone to "stand to it".  It was not a willful obedience that comes from a repentant heart.   He forced everyone to walk uprightly.

This is an excellent Biblical parallel. I was telling my wife just yesterday that, unless they can start showing signs of true repentance, the American people are about to get what their hearts desire.

The trouble is, they don't yet know the price tag for rejecting God in favor of a religion that espouses "loving oneself more than God" (2 Timothy 3:1-2). It always ends badly, as is apparent from the historical illustration you are using.

We are concerned about violence against Christians in our church that many of us started arming ourselves when we attend.     We have armed guards at locked doors during the service.

That's creates an interesting debate, and I don't know what to make of it. I have a good friend that is locked and loaded. Owns a virtual arsenal, LoL, and asked me what I thought about making preparations like that.

For me, I tend to rely more on spiritual protection, i.e. the angels of God to watch out for me and mine, and if I am to suffer for the Lord's sake then He will warn me prophetically well in advance. But that's just me. I don't apply my own situation to everyone else, and I certainly don't hold it against anyone who wants to protect themselves by that means. I just share my own perspective on it, so they know there is more than one way to approach it.

The apostasy and the complacency comes from the Pre-Trib rapture teaching that they need not worry about what's coming because Jesus is going to whisk them away so they won't have to suffer for His Name's Sake.

Yes, Yowm, I read it. I was primarily saying I was not aware of your position, more particularly that you would be so strongly effected by her statement.

Again, my apologies. And since you will, I will.

It wasn't a matter of favoritism (how did that enter your mind?), it was simply a matter of seeing who first began the derailment with an attack on pre-trib..and if that wasn't a derailment, then neither was my defense of it.

You'll have to forgive me, but I was and am still not aware of who takes what positions on that particular issue around here, so I would have had no knowledge that her post was an "attack"; simply a position.

So why did you quote me when For His Glory introduced the attack/derailment of pre-tribs?

My apologies, Yowm. I wasn't picking sides, trust me, nor did I agree with every single statement she made. I was simply encouraging her post, in particular her compliments to Heart2Soul. I didn't realize my endorsing it might potentially lead to an argument.

Forgive me if I made it seem like I was showing favoritism. I was not.

    God bless, :th_wave:

last year the Lord pressed upon my heart this verse...

That's a fantastic passage, and indeed accurate to the times we are about to enter.

    Bless you, sister!

This is utterly and completely false as they are one of the few groups giving warning of the signs coming and the apostasy brought on by false teachers.

Guys, I would prefer if we didn't derail this thread with a debate about pre-trib and post-trib if at all possible. I personally don't even think the tribulation proper is all that close just yet, but merely that we are about to enter into darker times as we draw closer to that time.

Anyway, if possible, could we please avoid that debate here? I'm asking both kindly and respectfully.

  21. Ok, I just finished writing this up, so here is the explanation of the third dream. A member here at Worthy sent me this about a month or so ago. This came entirely unsolicited. We were not even talking about anything related to politics at the time, as I am not politically but rather spiritually-oriented:

“I had noticed that you mention visions, so I want to mention that I at times had visions, from 1966, not frequently, but perhaps like building blocks, simple lessons in symbols. Almost none at all for perhaps 8 or 10 years, then here is one from Nov 9, 2016.  The night before, I decided to go on to bed and see results of Presidential election the next day. Next morning I hopped out of bed, then suddenly realized that I had seen a vision, beside the nightstand in the night. It was two black dogs, eyes not showing, teeth not showing, and they were on silver chains which were being held like two leashes but I saw no hands. Then came forward 4 black clouds. So I went on out and learned that Trump had won. It took me a few hours I think and I thought, that is Hilary and Kaine! I cannot venture into the black clouds, representation unknown, and have no insight yet that I recall. I am certain some event, important, is about to occur.”

The Spirit fully confirmed her interpretation about the two dogs being Hillary and Kaine to be correct. That they were showing no teeth represented how, due to not being elected, they would not be able to do violence in office. They would have "no teeth" to do so.

I have encountered the imagery of a “black dog” before in dreams. It represents the Egyptian gods Anubis and Set. Set is the one always depicted as black, and he is Egyptian mythology’s equivalent to Satan. Set was especially known as a god of “storms, disorder and violence.” (wiki). Another dream where this demon appeared was from a woman who had been married to a very violent and abusive man, and eventually divorced him and remarried. Yet after 10 years of being happily married to the new man, in the last few months her husband, who had never shown signs of being violent before, was suddenly turning into the same violent person her first husband was. At around this same time she started having visions appear to her of a half-man, half dog, all black, who would appear standing behind her husband.

That these two black dogs had “no eyes showing” means they did not foresee losing the 2016 election.

The symbolism of their being on leashes yet with no hands visible is obvious. Satan is a spirit, and thus they were submitted to the “lead” of his unseen hand. This appears to be confirmed by the revelations that were coming forth in the Podesta emails, leading up to the election. Both Clinton and Podesta had, as a member of their inner circle, a Satanist by the name of Marina Abramovic whom Podesta stated he was looked forward to attending an upcoming gathering with, and wanted to know if Clinton planned on being there. Abramovic appears to be the heir-apparent of a system of Magick and Satanism known as Thelema, originally founded by Aleister Crowley. Basically, the belief is that if you summon a “god” (i.e. read here "a demon") during a Satanic ritual to enter your body, any fluids emitting from your body during that time are considering as divine emanations, which if consumed grant the participants greater Satanic power. Abramovic’s practice of “spirit cooking” is thus a direct adaptation of Crowleyan teachings (the mess she expresses her “art” with by painting walls with it is therefore a concoction of various bodily fluids, including semen and blood).

I'm assuming this is common knowledge, but for anyone unfamiliar with all this, look up “Abramovic: Spirit Cooking” or “Abramovic: Goat’s Head.” It won’t take long to get the picture. There is every reason to believe Hillary Clinton is and has long been a closet Satanist, a claim likewise made decades ago by victims of the MK-Ultra governmental mind-control program, among them Cathy O’Brien, who has come out publicly about Hillary, Bill, the Bushes, and a number of other powerful politicians in the United States.

So what do the four clouds represent? This is the predictive element of the dream, and with frightening implications. When I first read the words “Then came forward 4 black clouds,” my mind immediately went to, “two sets of candidates, who will be coming after Hillary and Kaine, and likewise serve the darkness” and my initial senses are usually correct. But I didn’t know if she meant that they appeared all together, or one after another, or in two sets of two. I initially opted to just go with the later, but then got wise enough to ask her. She replied, “It was two dark cloud shapes, then followed by two more.” This makes this final detail vitally important, and it is confirmed by the two dogs. Two dogs, followed by two sets of clouds each means that two sets of candidates (Presidential and Vice-Presidential, just as with Hillary and Kaine) will be coming after them. If true, it means the next two Presidential terms in this country will be led by wicked people, no matter what they may appear to be on the surface.

One more interesting thing in this context: In the months leading up to the election, I was keeping a close watch on some of the prophesies going forth about how Trump had been chosen by God to become the next President of the United States. Sadhu Selveraj was one of those prophesying this in August, four months before the election (I was watching it on Youtube during the time), and among the things he prophesied were the words, “He will be used to clean and purify the nation. As hard as he is, he has been prepared for this. As Cyrus was used to discipline and then to restore Israel, likewise Trump will be used in the US. He will be used to curb violence. He will be God’s mouth and hand for this nation.”

I realize not all accept Selveraj as a prophet, and I understand that, but the following highlighted words speak volumes about what the agenda of the enemy is and has been the entire time. It is specifically what got postponed by Trump’s election: VIOLENCE in the United States. It is why the enemy hates Trump so. The trend leading up to the election was increasing terrorism, especially Islamic terrorism, not just worldwide but suddenly in the US as well. One major incident happened in 2015, and then two in 2016. But what has happened since then? One can only speculate about what might have happened had Hillary had been elected, but I recall a big concern at that time was the alarming number of Muslim refugees who were being admitted into this country, without proper screening. What has become of all that since then? One major incident happened last year, but the entire climate feels different in this country at the moment, as if Trump had indeed curbed the spirit of violence at the very least, up until now anyway. The terrorists may recognize that from the top on down the spirit that rules over this country at present will not tolerate evil. There may also be a divine protection in place over this nation because of who who decided to elect. But what happens when the leadership changes back again, to one of “tolerance” for all things Islam and intolerance for Christianity?

One last disturbing note that seems to confirm the message I present here: Selveraj also prophesied about 6-8 months ago that we are currently in a time of God’s grace, a four year “grace period” if you will, and that if our country and especially the church in the US does not “get its act together,” this grace period will end and judgment is going to begin. I find that especially foreboding in light of what the dreams seem to be saying now.

I will go find the video and write out a transcript of his exact words whenever I can.

The gist of the passage is in the context of false prophets. But more specifically, how are we to test dreams and visions and 'interpretations' for their truthfulness, except by God's Word which is like fire next to straw or like a hammer breaking rocks into tiny pieces.

    Agreed.

    Jeremiah 23:28-29 NKJV
[28] "The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the LORD. [29] "Is not My word like a fire?" says the LORD, "And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

    Amen.

Thanks for posting this, btw. Just recently verse 28 had become one of my favorites, as I'm still relatively new to operating in interpretation. But I had never really noticed verse 29 until now. False dreams and false prophecy cause His people to walk after their own imaginations (v.17), and not turn from their evil ways (v.22), but rather forsake His name (v.27), and this is specifically why He is against their words (v.30-31). They are of no profit to His people (v.32). His true word is distinguished in how it does the opposite. "What is the chaff to the wheat?" means those who oppose the truth must not be regarded or feared. "Is not My word like a fire?" then means they will eventually be burned up or burned away anyway, and "Is it not like a hammer that break the rock in pieces?" speaks of the true word of God breaking down previously held false assumptions that had become established as "truth."

Thanks for sharing the verse. This is my first time looking at the entire passage in context.
