Well you can disagree. But it doesn't make you right..

There are some nice well meaning doctors but it's still a professional delusion. It's not diagnostic and therefore most of them have poor insight.

The Bible explicitly warns of worldwide deception in last days. People will turn away from the truth and be deceived by doctrines and beliefs influenced by satan and demons. Psychiatry/Mental health services are operated by groupthink and allegiance to a book called the DSM5 which has no scientific basis, but an ideological set of beliefs voted on by a group of psychiatrists. Although they are fallible humans. These people are deceived and caught in an ideological delusion. They suffer from poor insight and judgment as professionals. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

As someone diagnosed with multiple mental illness’s, I discovered for myself personally it is not diagnostic by any scientific medical evidence. And the absence of proof definitely amounts to proof of absence. From personal experience, the medications I was on for many years I found to be completely ineffective. I was also put on a antipsychotic drug well above the maximum recommended dose.. The symptoms ceased when I had a deliverance in 2011 after involvement with the paranormal occult stuff. However it was a long difficult time getting off all the drugs. And needed to be done over many months. The DSM used to declare homosexuality a mental illness and has gotten much broader. I’m not sure why so many people believe and trust everything psychiatric doctors say without question.. They are fallible

I’m new to this forum. I’m interested to know what the Christian perspective is on severe mental disorder. What used to be taken as demonic oppression or possession is now believed to be a chemical imbalance of the brain by misfiring neurons. It seems most believe and trust in doctors because they claim they know what they are talking about and we must do what they say. But there is no blood test or brain scan for schizophrenia for example. The amount of people being diagnosed with mental illness has spiralled out of control over the years. If the medications are working why the rapid increase of disability pensions for mental health. The fact is, there are some psychiatrists and professors claiming there is no scientific model behind mental disorder. I was once diagnosed with a mental disorder. I was told by my Christian friends at the time that my brain is sick. If Christians believe this ideology, what is the name of the theory that proves mental disorder is a biochemical imbalance of the brain? Why did Jesus deliver people from demons and preach on this? If demons don't interact with people in any way..
