We need to keep 'looking unto Jesus' (Hebrews 11.2), right? in the light of the many examples of faith from the Old Testament saints, which the writer to the Hebrews mentions in chapter 11.

I do think that Matthew 24's immediate context is the great tribulation (24.21); a unique, future event.

I'm sorry but I do not agree with your interpritation of tribulation. Still God bless

  2. Lets be reminded. These scripture came to me while praying this morning. I thought I should post them.

    Matt 24:12

and because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold but he that shall endure unto the end thee same shall be save

    2nd Tim 3

This know that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall become lovers of their own selves, covetous ,boasters , proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy without natural affection, truce breakers false accusers, incontinent , fierce, despisers of those who are good.

Traitors, heady high-minded, lovers of pleasure more that lovers of God, have ing a form of godliness denying the power thereof. From such turn away

Ya know, I think the future beast (aka Antichrist) will probably be like an Elon Musk - charismatic, intelligent, funny with solutions to the crazy problems this world is having.  Sometimes I think all the problems we are having now, both in this world and our administration, is so ludicrous and abysmally ignorant that when someone like Elon comes aboard people will have a sigh of relief thinking everything will be "normal" again.  So what I'm saying is the present idiocy and retarded leadership we are having now is the Devil's psyop to bring us to that point of wanting a commonsense leader.  I don't know whether or not it will be Elon Musk, but for sure it will be a figure like him (with perhaps a tad more of military acumen as well).

I think as Christians, we ought to say to such a person that it's great they have solutions to problems, but we stop the praise when there's a demand for worship and a mark to participate in economics.  If we end up getting killed over it, then we did not submit, and it only goes to show their true colors.  But my main point is keeping in mind that the future beast will appear to be a Savior, even Christ himself (c.f. Paul's statement in Thessalonians) so it will turn bad.  I can easily predict how long such a megalomaniac will rule:  42 months and it's all over.

I  have to say yes and I agree. I also would say I do not agree that he wants truly to get rid of Twitter. He can speak to the world from there. satan is a Lier and always will be

Nope, he didn't mention it to me anyway.

Satan is the leader of this world.

    to be the world leader

You need to study your Bible more. Yes satan is the price of this world as Jesus said he was, but he is a spirit being. He will be the one to influence the antichrist who will be the fleshly world leader. I think many of us need to study more.

    Where is this article?

Can't find it now. Guess it was fake news.

I have looked at some of his ideals on leadership and I would have to say personally he definitely has an ambition for world leadership. Remember The Man of sin will not look like he has evil intent but have the appearance to do good. This is what I see when reading his personal interviews on the subject.

    Elon Musk personally threatens Putin

Elon Musk has denied reports he spoke to Vladimir Putin before posting a Twitter poll with his suggestions for ending Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Ian Bremmer, head of the Eurasia Group political risk consultancy, alleged that Mr Musk had personally told him about the conversation with Mr Putin.

But Mr Musk has now rejected this.

"I have spoken to Putin only once and that was about 18 months ago. The subject matter was space," Mr Musk tweeted.

I have to remind myself that it is difficult to decipher truth on U Tube.

    Scary how?

Curious as to the path people take to arrive at their conclusions.

Its a gut feeling but you have to know your Bible and the end times and know about ambition. This man will gain our confidence. Christianity plays a very strong part. The Papacy is the most powerful Chruch in the world. Elon will also be powerful. Its a real head game. They must come together and if I'm right they will. but not forever.

  8. Icame across this on U-Tube. I don't put much faith in U Tube posts He was also claiming to being a born-again believer. It also said that he will likely become the world's wealthiest man this year. There is also a spaceship on its way to the moon. Opinions? I believe the antichrist will make this claim also.

Paul preached the gospel of Christ and never served any other. Also I didn't say you couldn't just you shouldn't. Babylon will come to judgment. You might try giving that some thought.

How did I into this. I have never been a poster on this

  10.

    Matthew 24:29

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken

Mark13: 25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

  11. It is the spirit of Christ in our life that we reflect before and apathetic world Some of you may know it. It's called "The Streets of London" U Tube However it's not just about London but about the grief, loneliness  and the starving of our world. Jesus told it about an uncaring rich man and a homeless Beger who laid starving at the gate of the rich man's home who despised him. You can type it in at You Tube of coarse its not just about London but an uncaring church. So how should we pray ? Should we have to ask? The posted pictures says it all.

    God Bless

    2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

A falling away from what and who? It is THE sign Paul gives that the seven-year Tribulation is fast approaching, and the revealing of the Antichrist is near. If you hold a pretribulation view, how much closer is the return of our Lord for His bride?

Never in my lifetime did I think I would be witnessing what is happening today, escalating rapidly. To share my thoughts, I want to define the meaning of "a falling away" that is a key to the end times and Tribulation, apostasɩ́a.

The noun apostasɩ́a appears as an apocalyptic reference to a rebellion at the end of the age (2 Thess. 2:3). Two specific theological uses of the verb that are problematic are a warning to avoid having an evil heart that "turns away from the living God" (Heb. 3:12).

A cursory look at today's conditions of our Laodicean churches is telling. Prosperity gospels, false gospels, tickling of ears, watered down Gospels, losing their first love Jesus, ecumenicalism all religions worship the same god, called by different names in various cultures and religions. [i]

The laundry list for rebellion and abandonment is too numerous to list them all. The world generally has lost all moral principles and historical biblical values. Humanism, critical race theory, wokeism, gender identity and pronouns, abortion, cancel culture, and on and on.

The natural extension of the preceding is animal self-identification, and guess what is now happening? [ii] When I suspect things cannot possibly get viler and more ridiculous, along comes something else even more ludicrous.

We are now witnessing a warmup, the prelude to how evil this abandonment will get as time passes. I believe we are in the time Paul speaks about, just before the Rapture.

Could you tell us what the 7 yr tribulation period is?

The church began on the Day Of Pentecost when the promise of the Holy Ghost came and filled  the 12o who were waiting for Him as Jesus promised them.

    Acts 2:1-5

Who hasn't at one time broken one of the commandments? , yet God must think we can do it.

" Fear God". I don't think I'm lacking in that area. The little of the little of the little bit I know about Him is enough to scare me to death. Anyone who doesn't respect Him for who He is must not have really thought it through.  We are all less than little pee ants in His sight. Yet He somehow loved us enough to send His Son to die for us.

That first question is a good one, but the one that always has been mine is  the day the Lord rose to return to the Father. He instructed the disciples to remain in Jerusalem for the Holy Ghost to come. On the day of Pentecost there were 120 waiting and praying when the Holy Ghost came as Flames of fire and rested on their heads. and they were all filled  with the Holy Ghost. The church was Established on the day of Pentecost.

    Read Ats 2: 1-4

  15. It says in Ezekiel 36: 25-37

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

God told Ezekiel that a time would come that we would not keep the law not because it was the law but out of a changed heart.

Have you READ the book of Zechariah?  Apparently not. Please read the book before claiming that these these are literal

I re-read the book just now, and tend to agree with you regarding they are not literal, but, meant to convey deeper truths. HOWEVER, in all fairness to those who disagree with us, the first vision are described literally as an vision. The following visions do not explicitly say that, BUT are continuation of visions being given. BUT even so, clearly God is dealing with the prophet about future events and revealing them in visions. This (in my opinion) is consistent in the new testament and one example is Jesus giving Saul a vision of a man named Ananias coming to him and laying hands on him so he can receive his eye sight again. It was a future event, fulfilled literally in a short period of time, not at the time of the vision.

I just don't know why people don't believe me sometimes.  Is it because I am female or old or what?

    It could be your southern accent (Y'all . . . ), or, maybe your sleeping cat . . . . ????  Just Kidding . . . .

.  It isn't personal. It just goes with the territory. These differences in chat boards are every day. You are a teacher and i am not. I have not read all the visions in Zechariah. I only needed the vision of Joshua to stress my point.
