My girlfriend is coming up to visit me and she is obviously staying in my house (I still live with my parents since I'm in college). Can we share a bed when we know we're not going to be having sex? We have already said that is off the table and we know we're saving ourselves for marriage.

I'd say the temptation would be very strong. However, it would also be a test to see if you are as committed to saving yourselves for marriage as you claim.

Isn't there a guest bedroom she can stay in? Do you have a pull out couch? One that turns into a bed?

How long is she staying? Why not put her up at a hotel?
I've slept with a man I'm not married to when I was young. Very early 20's. Nothing happened. Well, we talked until we fell asleep but that was it.

If there is no place else for her to sleep sure, offer her your bed. She knows she's being invited to your house. If she wanted not to be in a situation of temptation she could easily get herself a hotel room.
    May God guide you.

Human history, exemples in the Bible and Jesus telling us to resist evil.

You may wish to read Ephesians 4.

What would we be if we are in Christ and have an evil mind? What would Jesus have transformed in us were we to retain what you call an evil mind.

And this passage as well is helpful. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:1–2)

That is excerpted from this article.

  3. Here's the bill at the congressional website HR4760

If you click CTRL F on your keyboard at that site you can find keywords of interest that pertain to the bill. As in, biometric.  The first result when I did this is in section 2106

Doing that, using that keyword to search via CTRL F and the word, biometric, I found 51 hits.

All of this is for national security presumably. The thing about any government is they can create the problem so as to then claim it necessary to draft a law that solves the problem. That can be why it seems like government prior to Trump enabled illegal immigration and in some cases the subsequent terrorist acts that took place due to illegals or, to those who traveled to known terrorist states, being allowed back into this country unimpeded by law enforcement at their point of entry. I.E. Airports, ship ports.

I've not read every part but I don't think , if there is a mandate for an ID implant chip so as to buy , sell, or trade, that American's will comply as easily as would be presumed.

The evil of our minds implies a consequence on our life path. It can be seen as sort of “karma”. Only a redemption process can dramatically decrease or partially reduce consequences. There is not fatal karma through redemption; the first step is on the inside.

There is no way of living a peaceful life with hamony and serenity for someone full of anger, full of vengeance, trying to manipulate, to confuse others, to take advantage of situations… Haughtiness, rage, hypocrisy and many more, one day will emerge in a form of sentence.

Living a life without giving myself the oportunity of redemption by forgiveness and self-awareness of my problems will generate a judgment from myself against me. There is no way to contain such force. I would be trapped by my disturbed projections that I would’ve build on top of such rough semtiments.

It’s an eruption, a vomit from the heart poisoning our existence. It’s  eating the wrath of our rage. It is in fact terrible; we tend to think that it is a punishment coming from the outside, but in fact it’s only the sentence we prepared all along life.

What we used to plant, one day we will harvest. We could even ask “why is God punishing me” and in reality the only punishment comes from our evil thoughts generating pain and suffering for us and those we love.

Lets ask ourselves how we can make a better world sarting by ourselves and our surrounding neighbors.

Enjoy life and don’t poison it.

What leads you to believe you have evil of mind?

Such a thing is not benign and if its written for children that is the whole point of the show. Children are wet cement and when the dark forces are allowed to get to them when they are young its all that much harder to get through to them when they are older and that 'cement' has long since hardened

Good points. Train up a child in the way they should go....the dark side has its agenda too. Well said men. That goes to the motive for all the dark occult trash programming that's coming on TV now. Likely if it was checked out that programming would outdo wholesome programming on major network television stations.

It's all part of the pattern of falseness and fallen spirits. The politic and worldly laws sustain the right of sin to overcome even opinion about it, and meanwhile the dark occult is programmed literally more and more into impressionable young minds growing into a future where it is politically correct to stay quiet for fear of punishment. PC being fascism posing as manners. (Carlin)

What Globalists have planned for this world is no laughing matter. In fact when they're so open about it to any degree it should tell us they're smuggly assured of their power to proceed unfettered by any presumed resistance.

I got it.    maybe its an apology to global warming for fossil fuels.      YEAH , NO , MAYBE SO.

If you do enough research you may find that "global warming" is not what is the issue. Nor are the so called green solutions to curb the rise in global temperatures. Because all green solutions are toxic. The selling point, 'green energy', 'go green', draws in the latter day ecologists who for so long have participated in the coal fueled, fossil fueled, toxic paradigm that contributes to environmental pollution.
Meanwhile, we create as an alternative energy answer to those pollutants so called hybrid cars. The batteries themselves are toxic, the mining for the materials within them are devastating to the environment. And when they fail in 5,7, or at most 10 years, they shall cost thousands of dollars to replace. The good news is their materials are recyclable when that new battery becomes necessary.

Green energy is just another scheme to increase the green$ for manufacturers.  Just like alternative over the counter drugs now are sold "without dyes". The new health concern, like the environmental green concern. Coloring formerly used in the over the counter product for years are no longer added. Less ingredients less money, right? Wrong.

    John 14:13

"And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

Is this advice only addressed to the apostles or to the entire world? Cause it doesn't seem to be working nowadays.

It was meant for the apostles and those who would be led to Christ hearing the Gospel good news.

This is a great resource. One excerpt on this passage that includes delightful informative commentary. There is much more at the link. Blessings. :)

Albert Barnes' Notes on the Whole Bible

Whatsoever ye shall ask - This promise referred particularly to the apostles in their work of spreading the gospel; it is, however, true of all Christians, if what they ask is in faith, and according to the will of God, James 1:6; 1 John 5:14.

In my name - This is equivalent to saying on my account, or for my sake. If a man who has money in a bank authorizes us to draw it, we are said to do it in his name. If a son authorizes us to apply to his father for aid because we are his friends, we do it in the name of the son, and the favor will be bestowed on us from the regard which the parent has to his son, and through him to all his friends. So we are permitted to apply to God in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, because God is in him well pleased Matthew 3:17, and because we are the friends of his Son he answers our requests. Though we are undeserving, yet he loves us on account of his Son, and because he sees in us his image. No privilege is greater than that of approaching God in the name of his Son; no blessings of salvation can be conferred on any who do not come in his name.

That will I do - Being exalted, he will be possessed of all power in heaven and earth Matthew 28:18, and he therefore could fulfill all their desires.

That the Father may be glorified in the Son - See the notes at John 13:31.

Since I'm on this forum I'm reading countless threads about "keeping the Sabbath" (that's quite surprising cause I've never heard about these discussions elsewhere before, didn't know it was such an "hot topic" or relevant one in Christianity).

My question is: what does it mean to "keep the Sabbath"?

What a believer should practically do on Saturday to "keep the Sabbath"?

I've no idea about it because I usually read the Gospel and I don't find any indication on how a believer should concretely "keep the Sabbath", in other words I don't find any description on what's so special that a believer should do on Saturday, and not on Monday or Wednesday, in Jesus' words (let alone Thursday).

Nor I find anything special that Jesus was doing on Saturday, except doing the exact same things He was doing on other days, like Friday, and this way making some Pharisees angry because they didn't want Him to perform the same things He was doing on other days. (Mark 3:2, John 5:16-17, Matthew 12:10, and so on, like: "So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. In his defense Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.")

So I sincerely don't know what someone should do to "keep the Sabbath", after reading every single Jesus' word in the Gospel, I don't find even a clue in His words.

Traditionally as to the old testament Jews, the Sabbath was from sundown Friday unto sundown Saturday.

Have you ever taken a day, say that period of time there, turned off all electronics including unplugging your phone,  having that day off work, and simply spent time with God?
Meditate, pray, read scripture, or a book on Apologetics? Just spend time at peace out of the worlds attentions?

It can be frustrating at first because many of us are so use to being occupied by noise. Like TV, phone, people, work. It may take time to relax into the quiet but after a while, and maybe immediately , it depends on the person, it feels great. And it is like taking a deep breath and a long warm bath at the same time. Which is something else you can do on that Sabbath period. Take a long warm bath. Immerse yourself in water and do nothing. Don't read, don't have a radio blaring. Remember, no electronic distractions. Just soak. Cleanse. Even add herbs to the water. Like lavender, which is wonderful for inducing relaxing calm. Herbs or the essential pure oil.

Jesus was the Lord of the Sabbath. Meaning, he was God, (Emmanuel, God with us), who instituted the Sabbath in the 10 list of commands. Which still apply today being those are the moral laws under God's watch. As well as the spiritual laws concerning putting God first.

Jesus did not abolish the Sabbath. That period of time is when we are able to rest and spend time with God alone. If you try what I suggested you may find you have a deeper relationship with our Lord and Savior. Blessings. :)

Searching about the Trinity, I found very good explanations like the "one BEING that has 3 PERSONS" or the analogy of the cube as in C. S. Lewis book. But, if a cube is made of 6 sqaures, it means that, if one square is missing, we can no longer call that figure a cube, and, the square that is missing in this cube is not a cube anymore, it is just a square. Does that mean that, without one of these persons, God is not complete? Do those 3 persons depend on each other to become God like the squares depend on each other to become a cube? Would we say that the trinity is like 1/3 of God? Like 1/3+1/3+1/3=1? I know it doesn't fit in the definition of the Christian God. But what would be the answer for it? How does the trinity works in this sense?

There is one God. That's it. Trinity, while not appearing in the scriptures, is a term that defines the three aspects or acts of God in the scriptures. However, it wasn't three separate entities acting with God like powers. The Father, is "The Word". [See: John 1.:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ]

The Father is the Holy Spirit. And Jesus was the Holy Spirit in flesh. The witnesses at Jesus' baptism saw the dove light upon him. And a voice from Heaven declare, this is My Son in whom I AM,well pleased. "I AM", remember the old testament scriptures pertaining to Moses? When Moses asked whom should he tell the Pharaoh had sent him to deliver warning to free the Jews, God told Moses (Moshe) to tell Pharaoh, I AM sent me.

God is the holy spirit. God is more aptly known as a verb, because in scripture God's name is not, "God". And Jesus was God in flesh. A man who was also fully the Holy Spirit. And all that he did in miracles while delivering to the world His new covenant of salvation, was of God. In other words, the power within and behind all creation as creator was brought to bear in healing, exorcising demons, raising the dead. Because those are the abilities God has.

Some traditions teach that there are three separate persons in Heaven. That is known as , "Tri-Theism". And is pagan. God's words tell us he is all there is. And that means God, which is a verb due to the powers manifest in what we understand to mean, God, is actually the Holy Spirit. Remember the passage? God is not a man that he should lie. Jesus was a man. And he was also fully the Holy Spirit. As much as the immensity of the Holy Spirit could be contained into flesh and bone.John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The prison epistles—Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon—are so named because they were written by the apostle Paul during his incarceration in Rome

I found what I was looking for.   Here is what you said:

I responded to you and so did Sojourner414 in that thread.  It was thread about the woman caught in adultery.   So, no.   I did not slander you.  I have you on record, now.

You stated I said Paul's writings were not inspired. That remains a lie.

The cut and paste you've done there speaks volumes. You're not aware that Paul's prison letters were his letters to the churches he founded. No Bible scholar anywhere states everything Paul wrote was inspired of God. Not even Paul said that of his own letters within his own letters. That you aren't aware of Paul's ministry is on record. That's a real shame.

Now, since you launched into a personal attack and derailed this thread for that purpose, I'll leave you to it. I'm going to stay on topic. Let's see if you and your followers in that arena can do the same now.

  18. I happened on an episode of Lucifer and watched it because the main character, Lucifer, is played by Tom Ellis. I've enjoyed his work on small screen.

It's benign. Lucifer is made out to be this misunderstood character. The scripts are written for children. It's not at all captivating entertainment.

However, there is a great deal of dark occult series on TV now. Don't forget The Exorcist. It's a series now. I think there's likely more dark occult entertainment programming now than there is positive.

One more reason to avoid TV whenever possible.
