Jesus himself imparts the Holy Ghost to the believing disciples, and empowers them to remit sin. Notice that this power was given not to the church, the body of Christ, but only to the remnant of Israel disciples. Acts 1:5 KJV - For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Jesus said the twelve apostles would be baptized with the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:2). Acts 1:8 KJV - But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Jesus was sending the apostles out to preach the gospel of the kingdom. Acts 2:4 KJV - And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. I see only the twelve apostles as being filled with the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues. The baptism of fire is that of judgment: Isaiah 4:4 KJV - When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. Zechariah 13:9 KJV - And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. 1 Peter 1:7 KJV - That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: These verses are for Israel, not the church of God, the body of Christ. The church today has one Spirit baptism: 1 Corinthians 12:13 KJV - For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Paul preaches the death and resurrection as payment for our sins in his gospel. Luke 18:32-34 KJV - For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken. How could they preach the that Christ died for our sins and rose again when this was hid from them?

Matthew 3:10 KJV - And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Israel had to be fruitful to enter the kingdom on earth, to be a priesthood and reign with Christ on earth. Jesus spoke similar language to Israel: Matthew 7:19-20 KJV - Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Israel, not us, would recognize a believer from an unbelieving Jew by their fruit.

Yes the gospel of God is progressive however the gospel given to Israel was different in content and is not what we are to believe for eternal life.....Paul's gospel is the faith in Christ's payment for our sins through his death and shed blood and that he was raised for our justification. Peter and the twelve did not preach the cross for eternal life, they preached believing on the name of Jesus, that he is Christ, Son of God (John 20:31).

Kingdom #1 is on earth. Isaiah 60:21 KJV - Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. Genesis 13:15 KJV - For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. Israel will inherit the land forever. Psalm 22:28 KJV - For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations. Christ will rule the nations on earth. Revelation 5:10 KJV - And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Israel is a priesthood (Exodus 19:5-6) on earth Kingdom #2 is heavenly 2 Corinthians 5:1 KJV - For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Where is the body of Christ found in the OT? Where is the one new man, neither Jew or Gentile, found in the OT? Where is our position in heavenly places found in the OT?

Ok what is the gospel that saves today?

Paul was given stewardship over the gospel he was given to preach. Peter did refer to grace, Israel could not keep the law and Christ redeemed the sins of Israel so they could serve him: 1 Peter 2:24 KJV - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Galatians 3:8 KJV - And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. The gospel was preached to Abraham, but it was not the gospel found in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.....it says what gospel was preached..."In thee shall all nations be blessed."

No one has ever been saved by works, however I would not say it is not by faith....how do you reconcile that with these verses? Habakkuk 2:4 KJV - Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Matthew 9:2 KJV - And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. Gentiles were strangers from the covenants, they had to become proselytes...Exodus 12:48 KJV - And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. Yes Abraham was uncircumcised when he believed God and righteousness was imputed. I was only saying that Jesus came to shed his blood for the sins of Israel, it was not revealed until Paul that it was for the whole world.

Yes, God was going to save the Gentiles....this could be seen in prophecy, in the law and prophets: Genesis 18:18 KJV - Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? Before Paul, Gentiles could only be saved through Israel however. John 3:16 however, is, while the most popular verse, is not the best verse to give.....it was given to Israel who only had to believe on the NAME of Jesus, not the redemptive work of his cross. I did a search of mystery and here are my findings: 1 Corinthians 2:7 KJV - But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: The Bible defines mystery as hidden wisdom. Ephesians 3:9 KJV - And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: We are to make all see the fellowship of the mystery. The mystery was not hidden in the prophets, it was hid in God. Mark 4:11 KJV - And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: Jesus revealed hidden things about the kingdom of God on earth to the twelve. The meaning of the parables remained hidden to unbelieving Israel. Jesus did not reveal the same mystery to the twelve as was revealed to Paul otherwise it would render Colossians 1:26 below a falsehood. Colossians 1:26 KJV - Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: The mystery was not revealed beforehand, unto the twelve. Yes but this would be through Israel. Israel was to be a blessing to the world...the Gentiles would come to their light...they fell temporarily to unbelief. Isaiah spoke of Israel being a light to the Gentiles: Isaiah 60:3 KJV - And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. It was revealed to Paul that Gentiles (and Jews) could be saved by faith in Christ apart from the law, the covenants and Israel.

Where was Paul's ministry foretold by the prophets?....it was not in Hosea: Hosea 2:23 KJV - And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God. Hosea was speaking of the believing remnant of Israel. Romans 9:24-27 KJV - Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God. Peter was speaking to the remnant of Israel that believed the gospel of the kingdom not Paul's gospel.

Here is how to read these two verses in Romans 16:25-26: The church would be stablished according to Paul's gospel according to the revelation of the mystery AND the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery AND the preaching of Jesus Christ by the scriptures of the prophets. Paul preached Christ by what was revealed to him by Christ and out of the law and prophets. Romans 16:25 KJV - Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, God through Paul would stablish (strengthen) the church according to HIS GOSPEL and the preaching of Jesus Christ. PAUL'S GOSPEL was according to the mystery, KEPT SECRET since the world began. Romans 16:26 KJV - But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Paul's gospel was according to the mystery NOW made manifest which means it wasn't made manifest before Paul......which means it was not made manifest to Peter or the twelve.....which means Peter and the disciples could not preach the same gospel as Paul.

I will tell you one difference between Peter and Paul and their preaching of Jesus, and their gospels: Acts 3:20-21 KJV - And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Peter preached Jesus from what was spoken since the world began. Romans 16:25 KJV - Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, Paul preached Jesus from the mystery kept secret since the world began. Paul's gospel was kept secret since the world began....how could Peter preach the same gospel as Paul if it was kept secret?
