  1. Revelation 20:4 KJV - And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. I do not know of a passage for this in the OT, but it is found in the verse above.
  2. Ezekiel 37:25 KJV - 25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, [even] they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David [shall be] their prince for ever. Here in Ezekiel is the promised, prophetic Davidic kingdom on earth: Isaiah 9:7 KJV - Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Luke 1:32-33 KJV - 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Christ will reign over the nations from Jerusalem: Isaiah 2:2-3 KJV - 2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, [that] the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. David will reign over Israel: Ezekiel 37:24 KJV - And David my servant [shall be] king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. Israel shall dwell in the land: Exodus 32:13 KJV - Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit [it] for ever. Jeremiah 25:5 KJV - They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: Israel will reign with Christ on earth as kings and priests: Revelation 5:10 KJV - And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Exodus 19:6 KJV - And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. Jesus and the twelve preached the gospel of the kingdom to Israel about the Davidic kingdom on earth: Matthew 9:35 KJV - And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Mark 1:14-15 KJV - 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
  3. There are other verses to consider in regard to this city, which I did not go into depth on: The city reflects the glory of God: [Revelation 21:11 KJV] 11 Having the glory of God: and her light [was] like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; The Lord is the temple in the city: [Revelation 21:22 KJV] 22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. The Lamb is the light of the city: [Revelation 21:23 KJV] 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof. The Gentiles nations that are saved will be in the city: [Revelation 21:24 KJV] 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. The saints will be in the city: [Revelation 21:27 KJV] 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. It is not just a city, it is composed of God himself and those saved.
  4. Yes scripture uses figurative language, but it requires searching scripture to know what it represents....it can not be pulled out of thin air to mean whatever we want, and it requires common sense applied to anything read to determine what is literal and what is figurative. From scripture we can see Israel are pictured as sheep: 2 Chronicles 18:16 KJV - Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return [therefore] every man to his house in peace. Jeremiah 50:6 KJV - My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away [on] the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace. Matthew 15:24 KJV - But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. From this passage below we can see the other sheep of John 10 is scattered Israel. John 11:52 KJV - And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
  5. Yes David in this verse is said to be that shepherd.....he will be resurrected. Christ will reign from Jerusalem for a thousand years (Isaiah 2;2-3)
  6. Romans 5:18 KJV - 18 Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life. Justification unto eternal life is a free gift by grace through the redemption of Christ Jesus. Salvation is by grace; grace is not of ourselves; grace is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8 KJV - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Romans 3:24 KJV - Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Romans 6:23 KJV - For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 2 Corinthians 9:15 KJV - Thanks [be] unto God for his unspeakable gift.
  7. You are correct, I do not take Ezekiel 37:21-28 as symbolic.
  8. Romans 5:6-8 KJV - 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Christ died for us, the ungodly, while we were sinners. All are under sin. There is nothing we can do to make ourselves righteous and acceptable to God: Galatians 3:22 KJV - 22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Romans 3:12 KJV - 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. We can not turn from our sins and make ourselves clean to be accepted seeing we are dead in sins: Ephesians 2:1 KJV - 1 And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins; We can only be justified unto eternal life by the redemption in Christ Jesus and his blood: Romans 5:9 KJV - 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. We can only be reconciled to God by the death of Christ for us: Romans 5:10 KJV - For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. We have eternal life now and have now received the atonement (the reconciliation) , we can add nothing to what Christ has done: Romans 5:11 KJV - And not only [so], but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
  9. Israel was to believe in the name of Jesus, they had to believe he was the Son of God, the Christ. To enter the kingdom they had to endure to the end (Matthew 24:13), keep his commandments (Matthew 19:17 Revelation 14:12 Matthew 5:20), and be faithful (Matthew 25:21). The new covenant is only for the remnant of Israel that enters into the kingdom.....it is in the thousand year kingdom on earth that God will fulfill the new covenant to Israel
  10. The gospel for Israel was to believe on the name of Jesus for eternal life: John 3:16, 18 KJV - 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 1:12 KJV - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: John 20:31 KJV - But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. 1 John 3:23 KJV - And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1 John 5:13 KJV - These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Our gospel is to believe on Christ and his redemption by his cross and shed blood: Romans 3:24-25 KJV - 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Colossians 1:14 KJV - In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins:
  11. (Romans 5:1 KJV) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By faith we are justified (declared righteous) at the present time; justification is in our possession as a gift, by grace. Justification is through Christ. (Romans 3:28 KJV) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Justification is only by faith. The law could never justify unto eternal life. (Romans 4:5 KJV) But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Our faith is counted for righteousness not our works. The ungodly are justified by believing on Christ, by believing the gospel. We can not do anything to justify ourselves, being ungodly by nature. (Habakkuk 2:4 KJV) Behold, his soul [which] is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. The righteousness of God has always been by faith. (Romans 5:10 KJV) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. We were enemies of God, but being reconciled, we have peace with God. (Psalm 85:10 KJV) Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed [each other]. Righteousness and peace have kissed in Christ, even as John says in John 1:17. (Colossians 1:20 KJV) And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven. We have been reconciled. God purposed to make peace with us and reconcile us through Christ Jesus, by the blood of his cross. Wrath appears in scripture: (Romans 1:18 KJV) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Wrath is against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. (Ephesians 2:3 KJV) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Wrath is against the children of wrath. (Romans 4:15 KJV) Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, [there is] no transgression. The law can not be obeyed, and works wrath and cursing: (Galatians 3:10, 13 KJV) 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree: There was wrath according to prophecy: (Matthew 3:7 KJV) But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? We have been saved from wrath and are justified by the blood of Christ: (1 Thessalonians 5:9 KJV) For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, (Romans 5:9 KJV) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
  12. (Romans 4:6-8 KJV) 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 [Saying], Blessed [are] they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed [is] the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Paul is referring to Psalm 32, in which, David speaks of those blessed through faith and imputed righteousness: (Psalm 32:1-2 KJV) 1 [[[A Psalm] of David, Maschil.]] Blessed [is he whose] transgression [is] forgiven, [whose] sin [is] covered. 2 Blessed [is] the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit [there is] no guile. Imputation is God deeming us to be righteous, God accounts us as being righteous. (Romans 4:20-25 KJV) 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Faith is believing God, being persuaded that what God says, he will, and is able to do. We have the righteousness of God imputed to us as well when we place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and his redemption. We are to believe that Christ died for our sins and rose for our justification (declared righteous). Christ was made sin for us, we are given his righteousness. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV) 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV) For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (1 Corinthians 1:30 KJV) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

    VULTURES

(Isaiah 34:4 KJV) And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling [fig] from the fig tree. (Isaiah 34:8 KJV) For [it is] the day of the LORD'S vengeance, [and] the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. What is in view here is the day of the Lord as can be seen in these cross reference verses below: (Isaiah 13:6, 10 KJV) 6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD [is] at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. ... 10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. (Isaiah 34:15 KJV) 15 There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate. The gathering of vultures in Isaiah 34:15 above can only be seen as being associated with the day of the Lord. (Matthew 24:3 KJV) And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? The disciples wanted to know how to identify the coming of Christ Jesus. The coming of Christ is the subject here. What is in question is the teaching that Matthew 24 concerns the rapture of the church, the body of Christ. (Matthew 24:14 KJV) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Jesus and the twelve preached the gospel of the kingdom, the kingdom on earth in which Christ will reign with the remnant of Israel over the nations. (Matthew 24:21 KJV) For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. It is Israel that will endure the tribulation (Daniel 12:1 Jeremiah 30:7). (Matthew 24:27 KJV) For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. The coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is plainly said to be in view. (Matthew 24:28 KJV) For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. I see the eagles of Matthew 24:28 as being related to the vultures in Isaiah 34:15; both are associated with the coming of Christ and the day of the Lord. Luke below also says the eagles will be gathered together at this time: (Luke 17:37 KJV) And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body [is], thither will the eagles be gathered together. (Matthew 24:29 KJV) Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: The stars fall just as in Isaiah 34:4. Revelation, just as Isaiah 34:4, describes the stars falling and the heaven departing as a scroll at the opening of the sixth seal: (Revelation 6:13-14 KJV) 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. (Matthew 24:31 KJV) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Israel is the elect gathered in Matthew 24:31 above. Consider Isaiah 11:12 below: (Isaiah 11:12 KJV) And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. (Matthew 24:40-41 KJV) 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Here is the main verses in consideration. These verses do not relay the "rapture" of the body of Christ. Christ here is saying Israel will be separated at his coming. Unbelieving Israel will be separated from the remnant and will not enter the kingdom on earth: (Matthew 13:29-30 KJV) 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. (Matthew 13:40 KJV) 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
  14. (Romans 4:1 KJV) What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? (Romans 4:2 KJV) For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath [whereof] to glory; but not before God. Abraham was justified (declared to be right ) by works, but not unto eternal life, when he offered up Isaac in Genesis 22:1-19. It was his faith coupled with his works that justified Abraham as seen by Hebrews 11:17-19. Only faith can justify unto eternal life. Faith can be made perfect (or complete; see Deuteronomy 18:13 1 Kings 8:61) by works as seen in James 2:22, and righteousness imputed because faith generated obedience. (Romans 4:3 KJV) For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. It must be recognized that Abraham was declared righteous by believing God in Genesis 15:6 before the covenant of Genesis 15:18. Paul here was speaking of Abraham being justified before the covenant and James 2:21 was speaking of Abraham being justified under covenant: (Genesis 15:5-6 KJV) 5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. 6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. (Genesis 15:18 KJV) In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: (Romans 4:4 KJV) Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. In Exodus 19:5-6 below, these words are not to us, but unto the children of Israel. Israel had to believe on the Lord for eternal life, but had to obey to be a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation to reign with Christ in the kingdom on earth: (Exodus 19:5-6 KJV) 5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. (Romans 4:5 KJV) But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. We are commanded to work not for justification unto eternal life. It is the ungodly that Christ justifies. Whoever believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, their faith, as Abraham, is counted for righteousness. Faith is not a work. Faith is being persuaded that what God says is true and he is willing and able to fulfill it (Romans 4:20-21). Faith must be placed on the correct object; it is the faith of Jesus Christ (Galatians 2:16); Jesus Christ is the object of our faith.
  15. (Romans 3:10 KJV) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (Romans 3:12 KJV) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. That none are righteous is found in the Psalms and prophets: (Psalm 14:1 KJV) [[To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David.]] The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there is] none that doeth good. (Psalm 14:3 KJV) They are all gone aside, they are [all] together become filthy: [there is] none that doeth good, no, not one. (Isaiah 64:6 KJV) But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (Romans 3:19 KJV) Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Israel under the law would have their mouths stopped from boasting of their righteousness in the law; both Jew and Gentile are guilty before God. (Romans 3:20 KJV) Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin. The law can not justify, it can only show sin. (Romans 3:21 KJV) But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; The righteousness of God is now manifested through Paul. The law and the prophets witnessed the righteousness of God: (Isaiah 45:25 KJV) In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory. (Romans 3:22 KJV) Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: The righteousness of God is only by faith; faith placed in Jesus Christ; to all, Jew and Gentile, who believe the gospel of the redemption of Christ. (Romans 3:23 KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:24 KJV) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: All have sinned and all are freely justified by his grace. Justification is being declared righteous. Redemption is being purchased, payment of ransom, delivered, set free. Those who by faith believe are redeemed in Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:25 KJV) Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Propitiation is the means of appeasement. God set forth Christ as a propitiation through faith in his blood. Remission of sins is forgiveness for sin. God could declare remission of the past sins Israel committed under the old testament (Hebrews 9:15). (Romans 3:26 KJV) To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. God can now be just and justify (declare righteous) those who believe in Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:27 KJV) Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. The law and prophets declared the law of faith: (Habakkuk 2:4 KJV) Behold, his soul [which] is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. (Romans 3:28 KJV) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Even the prophets declared righteousness was not in the works of the law, but only in the Lord: (Jeremiah 23:6 KJV) In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this [is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. (Romans 3:30 KJV) Seeing [it is] one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. For Jew and Gentile justification (being declared righteous) comes by faith.
  16. (Romans 2:11 KJV) For there is no respect of persons with God. (Romans 2:12 KJV) For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; Israel was given the law, but was not given privilege; they would be held accountable for not keeping the law. The Gentiles would still be judged without the law; the law was written in their hearts according to Romans 2:15. (Romans 2:13 KJV) (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Israel had to keep the commandments to enter into the kingdom on earth (Matthew 19:17). (Romans 2:24 KJV) For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. It was written below in Ezekiel: (Ezekiel 36:22 KJV) Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not [this] for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. It was also seen below in 2 Samuel: (2 Samuel 12:14 KJV) Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also [that is] born unto thee shall surely die. (Romans 2:28 KJV) For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither [is that] circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: (Romans 2:29 KJV) But he [is] a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision [is that] of the heart, in the spirit, [and] not in the letter; whose praise [is] not of men, but of God. A true Jew is not just born as a Jew, but is a Jew in the spirit, by faith.
  17. Yes Jesus is God, but the faith of Jesus involves his redemption for us....his shed blood, death and resurrection and imputed rightoeusness
  18. (Romans 2:5 KJV) But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; (Romans 2:6 KJV) Who will render to every man according to his deeds: The judgment of God is according to our deeds as found elsewhere in scripture: (Psalm 62:12 KJV) Also unto thee, O Lord, [belongeth] mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. (Romans 2:7 KJV) To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: Israel had to trust the Lord and keep the commandments to have life (Matthew 19:16-17) and to dwell in the land: (Psalm 37:3 KJV) Trust in the LORD, and do good; [so] shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. God has declared there is none that does good: (Psalm 14:3 KJV) They are all gone aside, they are [all] together become filthy: [there is] none that doeth good, no, not one. The Jew will be first to bear judgment: (Romans 2:8 KJV) But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, (Romans 2:9 KJV) Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; The Jew will be first for glory: (Romans 2:10 KJV) But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: Whether Jew or Gentile, none are righteous: (Romans 3:9 KJV) What then? are we better [than they]? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; (Romans 3:10 KJV) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Israel would be judged first as to whether they did good or evil: (Ezekiel 18:30 KJV) Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. (Ezekiel 33:20 KJV) Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways. (Romans 2:11 KJV) For there is no respect of persons with God. That God is no respecter of persons is found in the prophets: (Deuteronomy 10:17 KJV) For the LORD your God [is] God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: It is also found in Paul: (Colossians 3:25 KJV) But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
  19. (Romans 1:18-20 KJV) 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: The wrath of God has been revealed. God is just because mankind, by the creation, has seen the invisible attributes of God and is without excuse; mankind has held the revealed truth of God in unrighteousness. What has been known of God from the creation has been expressed in scripture: (Psalm 19:1-4 KJV) 1 [[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 [There is] no speech nor language, [where] their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, (Psalm 8:3 KJV) When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; (Psalm 143:5 KJV) I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. God, by his grace, has saved us from wrath and reconciled us through Christ: (Romans 5:6 KJV) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
  20. Romans 9:6-8 KJV - 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they [are] not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, [are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these [are] not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. The Israel of God are those of faith. They are the called seed of the promise. (Galatians 4:28 KJV) Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. The promise is found below....the promise that the heathen would be justified by faith. (Galatians 3:7-8 KJV) 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, [saying], In thee shall all nations be blessed. (Galatians 3:14 KJV) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
  21. In the kingdom on earth Christ will reign along with believing Israel over the Gentile nations that entered in.
  22. [Revelation 3:21 KJV] 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. [Revelation 2:26 KJV] 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: I understand Revelation 3:21 as speaking to Israel not the body of Christ. Believing Israel will reign over the nations in the thousand year kingdom on earth.

  24. [Romans 1:16-17 KJV] 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Jesus revealed the gospel to Paul: [1 Timothy 1:11 KJV] 11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. Paul preached the cross, the power of God: [1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV] 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. Paul preached Christ, the power of God: [1 Corinthians 1:24 KJV] 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. The gospel of Christ went to the Jew first: [Mark 7:27 KJV] 27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast [it] unto the dogs. [Acts 3:26 KJV] 26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. The gospel is the power of God for salvation to those who believe. Faith comes by the word of God: [Romans 10:17 KJV] 17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Paul cited the prophet Habakkuk in regard to faith: [Habakkuk 2:4 KJV] 4 Behold, his soul [which] is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Paul fully applied and explained the law and the prophets. Paul revealed it has always been by faith.
  25. [Romans 1:1-4 KJV] 1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: The gospel of God is the progressive revelation of God's salvation. It centers on the salvation found in Jesus Christ. The gospel of God is found in the prophets of scripture. It begins in Genesis: [Genesis 3:15 KJV] 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. The gospel of God concerns Christ Jesus coming of the seed of David: [2 Samuel 7:12 KJV] 12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. The gospel of God declares Jesus the Son of God by the resurrection from the dead: [Psalm 2:7 KJV] 7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Paul was separated unto the gospel of God. Paul preached the mystery of the gospel, but also what was found in the law and the prophets. Paul was given the full revelation of the gospel of God.
