Psalm 99 Moses and Aaron among His priests and Samuel among them that call upon His name. They called upon the LORD and He answered them. He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar : they kept his testimonies and the statute that He gave them.

What is going to make me partakers of the divine nature? It's the blood. In the OT the priesthood had their garments sprinkles with blood before they can serve in the tabernacle. So does the NT priesthood.

Our sanctification is progressive. When we got saved, and as we are being made more Chrislike now in the present age and also in the future when we are glorified. The context of Peter's epistle is that he is exhorting us to be holy as He is holy in all manner of conduct. He is referring to the present.

Amen. The holy Spirit applies the sprinkling of the blood for our sanctification. Through santification of the Spirit to obedience and the sprinkling of the blood Jesus Christ.( 1 Peter 1:2)

With the above two theme in mind : the Torah and the Messianic kingdom the book of Psalm is meant to be the language of prayer in songs for God's people as they seek to be faithful to the commands of the Torah AND as they wait and hope for the messianic king. God's wants his people to come into agreement with his heart to usher in the reign of this king who will rule all the earth from Zion. He has given us the language of prayer in songs so that we can come into agreement with him as to how to pray the LORDS prayer ' thy kingdom come'

The book of Psalm has a UNIQUE design. Psalm one and two introduces the theme of the whole book. The Torah and the Messianic king. 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD and in his law does he meditate day and night 2:6 There is an eternal decree. The father has set his Son to reign as king of all the earth from his holy hill Mt Zion. A double blessing: you are blessed if your delight is in the Torah and you are blessed if you long for the messianic kingdom to come upon the earth. The spirit and the bride say come. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.

Psalm 146:5 Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God : Who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that therein is: who keeps truth for ever

Psalm 145: 18-19 The LORD is near to all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he will also hear their cry and will save them.
