Did Jesus tell people to work for wages or to drop everything, pick up the cross and go preach the gospel?

But that's not what it says in the 2nd verse. The time Jesus speaks is when the fig tree withers infront of them..reason why they were amazed. First verse they see the curse following morning.. ?‍♂️

Mark 11:13 seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.⁰ And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! Matthew 21:19‭-‬20 KJV This verse had me questioning the authenticity of the word. I thought if this can be wrong then what else is y'know? The holy spirit wouldn't inspire men to get a day wrong. I've seen a couple potter movies but in no way a fan ? It was just an accurate description for a bald ghoul looking thing. Neither a fan of scary movies in general, i've dealt with my share of real life demons to open that door again. Atleast not alone no way. But to shed light on the paralysis attacks.. Before I got tired at night I would always tell myself not to sleep facing the wall because I wouldn't see what's behind me. Shoot, I still do that. Granted, there were times when I did fall asleep facing the wall, and felt some what lucky feeling that "they didn't get me" in the morning. Fast forward to the time I fell asleep facing the wall, I had a dream i'm there on my bed and the door knob slightly turns. My brother walks in with his hands in the air(wearing black if that matters) I reach for an object and throw it at him, he dodges and takes one large lunge-step towards the foot of the bed and I put my guard down then go back to sleep. I'm still dreaming. While in dream of another dream I wonder 1) why is my brother here? 2) why did I throw something at him? 3? where was he last before falling asleep? After crossing off the questions in my head I woke up facing the wall, terrified just feeling like something demonic is behind me looking down. Me being a coward I was too afraid to even face my demon, I stretched my hand towards the door about to call on the name Jesus to hopefully do what I can't. THAT is when I froze. That's when I heard the first hiss. Like a snake or angry cat. I tried to move and the 2nd hiss was more loud, angry even. Finally tried with everything to get on my back and did, felt like I wrestled a ghost and the fight was over like that.

Have any of you ever experienced it? I've had some encounters and just wanted to share. My father and I moved from a bad neighbourhood to a better apartment building. First night sleeping in the new apartment, dad's on the couch and myself on the mattress on the ground beside him. (Yes we had furniture lol) So im sleeping and in my dream i'm in the new apartment exactly where I had just dozed off. Ground level on the mattress. I look up and what only I can describe as what looked like Lord Voldemor from harry potter in the same black get up was walking pretty fast towards the hallway. Before it hit the corner it had a spidey sense I watched it, then just like that within a few steps lunged towards me with the hand gripping my heart. In that moment it really felt like I was experiencing physical pain in my chest and that life was being drained out of me. Shortly though, this was all maybe 5 or 6 seconds. I was grunting, trying to yell, I honestly don't know why it let go because at that moment I was scared to death and weak. So while I'm screaming in my dream, I finally wake up to what i'm pretty sure was the echo of my actual yelling. The only thing that tripped me out was my dad still sleeping sound asleep beside me. He wasn't the deepest sleeper either. Had his moments but if I was screaming screaming, he would've awaken. Even if I didn't scream a loud, the attack happened. It let me know that a new place did not mean new peace of mind. Demons from your past will come, maybe even try to kill you in your sleep. Had another attack about 2 years ago that I won't forget as well. My scariest. Demon hissed at me, twice. Has any one experienced any thing like this? Thoughts?

It's the only state of emotion I felt when making this user to be honest. But to your response, why is not literal? For myself, I never got that interpretation..just struck me as odd. It is the prophecy of a baby born to a virgin which was literal, right? So why isnt it the same with the name? Scripture would be helpful. Thanks

No I didn't know about King Herod birthday. And no, i'm not a JW. I'm not turning anything into a debate. It's a question for literal followers of the bible. Just wondering where celebrating Jesus' birthday came from..And whether or not he instructed his followers to do so.

If you don't know someones birthday how does one celebrate it? I mean did anyone have their birthday celebrated in the bible?

Is celebrating xmas against the bible? We also don't know what day Jesus was born on. Curious.
