I grew up in the Churches of Christ and most don't consider others christians who haven't been water baptized. I addressed this recently on my podcast on 'The Neptune Project.' but really, here is something from Acts 16 that is interesting 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. so something in this passage "They they spoke the word of the lord to him" was obviously important. Possibly a command in that WORD for baptism and something immediately that needed to be done....it obviously plays a role in fulfilling salvation by belief. Now, i addressed this recently in the churches of christ in that I personally believe God can save someone without baptism, such as an elderly woman in a nursing home who can't get to a baptistry obviously. but ordinarily, i don't teach belief without baptism as Jesus went through his baptism that being "the death burial and resurrection." remember, he said he had a baptism to undergo. so we too out of respect for God (Jesus said, it is proper (respect) for us to do this) need to participate in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Of course, I addressed this on my latest episode ... since the question was posed by you guys. I used to be an avid amateur astronomer with various certifications such as observing and logging all the 110 messier objects. Anyway, i had never seen uranus nor neptune in my observing days....so one evening i set out to observe them and they were just pale bluish disks in my telescope tiny bluish disks So uranus was easier to find but neptune was tough for me.. so i've always liked neptune. Anyway, i see my podcast the neptune project as uncovering spiritual matters and challenging others to see the things that maybe we have to search for being Bereans in faith of course which is my major preface in my project....and hopefully we can all discover for ourselves those tiny bluish disks of faith that others miss out on because they haven't really looked in the right place or perhaps because we just understand things to be as they are without challenging ourselves.

I know of a lady who was 100 years old when she was converted. Now let's be honest folks, a 100 year old woman on her deathbed is not going to have the acts 1 experience as it says where ," These men are not drunk it is only 9:00 in the morning." no tongues for her, no power to heal the sick coming from her, she is still a saved individual though! I'm going to address demons in my next podcast on "The Neptune Project" - spotify, anchor.fm, itunes, etc.

Ervin, I also would like to say that I too believe many years ago i experienced something of demonic possession and i had someone to cast them out. I also fasted for a period which the bible, I apologize i don't remember the exact verse, says "This kind can only come about by prayer and fasting." I think also the verses about demons going into arid places to find rest and then coming back is a little confusing to me. I think what kept me back then from worrying about possession as much was focusing on Christ and his will. Also, i wouldn't let just anyone lay hands on me after when i believed i had encountered possession. I discovered early on that there are people that don't really need to be laying hands on others as they are possessed and can transfer their demons to you. I think Paul talked about "Don't be hasty in the laying on of hands." Maybe i'm misinterpreting this verse but distinguish the spirit (someone elses spirit) before you let them lay hands on you.
