Gods love is not the same as mans fleshy love. Agreed? Gods love is selfless but mans love is not. You must actually lay down your life for others. The law is fulfilled in love but the fleshy mind cannot submit to Gods law.

They are guilty of prejudice as you say, but what if they preach against prejudice while being prejudice themselves? Thats makes them guilty of hypocrisy too.

Yes but we were talking about a person who doesn't follow the Spirit, whos mind is still carnal and not spiritual. How does that person think about Godly thoughts that come from the Spirit?

I get turning the other cheek, and not reviling someone, but when you are falsely accused of horrible things you should speak up and say no, thats not true. Thats a lie.

I see lies causing hate in others around me, on two sides. I see race hating race, and people hating officers of the law, and the seed of this hate is a lie propagated by evil men. They pit one side against another, and dont care if it causes hate and violence. The people who tell the lie are also hypocritical and bigoted. They dont tolerate the apposing view that would shine light on their darkness although they claim to be tolerant, and they are sometimes hypocritical as well in their accusations of others.. If only we could hear the truth told.

We have no obligation to be friends with such people, to be friendly yes but not friends. The scriptures teach us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers.

Yes you're correct, thank you. I guess i shifted gears a bit since the OP, my apologies.

But that scripture speaks of someone who is guilty of sin. Im talking about people who are falsely accused of sin. Why wouldn't you plead your case for innocence instead of reciting that scripture? Wouldn't people think you are admitting to sin?

Lets say someone like Hitler was alive today, and he slandered the Jewish people, falsely accusing and persecuting them. Would we just pray or would we also speak up? What about Martin Luther King? Was he wrong to speak up for justice? Proverbs 6:16 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, 19 a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

And what about advancing the truth? If i accused your Church of false teaching, wouldnt you defend the truth?

So if i accuse you of something horrible, you wont deny it? Wont people wonder why you didnt deny it? How is calling out hypocrisy or injustice the same as reviling? Its not is it? Proverbs 24:24 Whoever says to the guilty, “You are innocent,” will be cursed by peoples and denounced by nations. 25 But it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and rich blessing will come on them.

I guess you could read other books without becoming distracted. But how do you know you are not distracted by error? The bible's doctrine is error free.

There are many books, and many errors i suspect. The bible is without error because we know it is inspired by God..

If someone falsely accuses us, should we not speak up? If i accused you of something horrible, would you not defend yourself? If hypocrites falsely accuse you, dont you need to speak the Truth?

`Paul is talking about coming out of the world and being separate. Do you think there is an OT prophesy that specifically foretells what Paul is saying?
