  1. Wow, am I the only one here who doesn't believe that Jesus isn't God? Anyone else out there? I'll try to respond to some more as soon as I can, but I have a busy weekend and might not post again until Monday or Tuesday.

    Talk to you soon!

No buddy, you're not. I haven't been around here for quite a while. But I saw this thread and was feeling for ya. I believe as you do.

    Blessings!!

    Jen

  2. I agree Eric.

    :21:

    1 Timothy 4

    1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

11 These things command and teach.

12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

  3. This is one of my favorites right now. It's from Mercy Me's most recent cd called Undone. I love this song!! It makes me feel so humbled inside for what Yeshua did for me. He freed me!

    No apologies

For who I'm meant to be

The only thing that matters is

    I am free

    When I am overwhelmed

    Holding pieces of my heart

    When I feel my world

    Start to fall apart

    To the cross I run

    Holding high my chains undone

    Now I am finally free

Free to be what I've become

    Undone

    Even in defeat

    The face of tragedy

Still you'd have to say that

    I found victory

    In brokenness comes beauty

    Divine fragility

Reminding me of nail scarred hands

    Reaching out for me

    To the cross I run

    Holding high my chains undone

    Now I am finally free

Free to be what I've become

    To the cross I run

    Holding high my chains undone

    Now I am finally free

Free to be what I've become

    Undone

    Hallelujah I'm undone!

    To the cross I run

    Holding high my chains undone

    Now I am finally free

Free to be what I've become

    To the cross I run

    Holding high my chains undone

    Now I am finally free

Free to be what I've become

    Undone

    To the cross I run

    To be what I've become

    And I'm undone

  4. How can you believe : We believe that immediately upon death, the soul of the believer is absent from the body, and present with the Lord.

Dan 12:2  And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

1Th 4:13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

1Th 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

1Th 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1Co 15:51  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1Co 15:52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Who's sleeping then, if you believe you're present with the Lord after death?  There is no reason to believe that you are present with the Lord if the bible teaches that we sleep until the last trump and the shout of the voice of the archangel. Why would he shout and why would there be a last trump if you're present with the Lord?

  5. My interpretation is such.

Hell is the grave. We will all go there unless Messiah returns first. Even Yeshua was there. The question is will the grave hold you? No. Everyone will raise eventually. Does that mean everyone will be saved? No. Will you raise to be with Messiah here in the Kingdom or will you raise at the Great White Throne Judgement to burn and die?

Just thought I'd throw my 2 pennies in there.... :)

    Hi Fiosh-e-poo!!

  6. John 10:38 that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

    :P

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    You're so cute!!

That's a whole other thread.....

I understand your point of view though.

    :D

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

You're the first one on this board that made me laugh out loud (and not in a negative way). :P

I'd really like to start a thread to discuss "Take and eat, for this is my body". :taped:

Do you think that would make the mods too nervous?

    :D

  7. You are leaving the Wal-Mart. As you walk thru the parking lot you see a woman holding a small child upside-down dangling by one leg. She is beating the stuffing out of him. You are appalled!

You race over to help the child. Before you can get there, you see her take the child in her arms and lovingly hold him close, covering him with kisses.

    You are baffled.

When you ask her what is going on, she replies that her young son was choking, and the Heimlach didn't work. So, she tried the old-fashioned way, and turned him upside-down and smacked him repeatedly on the back.

    It worked.

This actually happened to me. The guy was ready to call the police until I explained.

Oh my!! That must have been horrible!!

When I enter my church, there is a life-sized Crucifix on the wall. (a cross with the image of Jesus on it). Every time I pass it, I kiss my fingertips and press them to the nails in His feet.

I see nothing wrong with this. My issue is when people bow down in front of a statue of a "dead person" like Mary. Only Yah can answer your prayers.

It is a symbolic gesture. In my heart, I say to the real Jesus who lives in me, "My Jesus forgive me for putting that nail in your feet. I love you with all my heart".

Not that you need my approval but I see nothing wrong with that either

No one can see what is in my heart.....but Jesus.

I do disagree here. I believe the only one that can see your heart is Yahweh

  8. Rusty I 100% agree. I knew what you were saying and I don't believe that people go to heaven or hell when they die but I've already "been there, done that" on 2 other threads.

I am exceptionally bothered by the term "holy father" and "vicar of christ"

    I don't like it. But.....what am I to do?

I was just hoping for something for Fiosh and I to agree on.

I don't like to debate people and when I feel it starts to get "yucky" I prefer to make peace.

I like it here and I don't want to get kicked off because I am a minority.

  9. Mike said:

am not judging any person, judging the gospel that is not lining up with the Word of God that is being spread.

To me, by telling someone they belong to a cult you are judging them and you don't know that person's heart.

what does James say about accepting those sharing a gosple other then that of Jesus?

depends on the version being read from, but it says that we are not to bid them God Speed,

putting it plainly, we are not to accept them into our house, if they are spreading any other gosple, and we are not to bless them on their way if they are taking with them a gosple other then that of Jesus Christ.....

    I agree

not judging the people, just judging the gosple in which they are trying to tell us we are to accept, and it does not line up with the Word of God.....

Well, I don't agree with some of the catholic doctrine or baptist or jews so should I label all of them a cult?

the only way that we will know if it lines up with the Word of God is if we are ground in the Word of God..... we have to know the Word of God in our hearts, not just in our little pea pickin brains, but in our hearts, and to know it in our hearts we have to have the Spirit of the Lord in our hearts.....

I have Yahweh in my heart. How could you possibly know I don't? That is my point

many people hear something that sounds good and they jump on it and try to follow it with out checking it out with the Word of God.... they take another mans word for it rather then verify it for them selves.....

I agree with what makes sense and I verify it every time I read scripture

if we go to studying other sects, or studying cults, then we will confuse our hearts and will be more confused as to what is really the Word of God.

I have no need to study another group that is not of God, to know they are not of God.....

I don't recall you saying anything about studying these people, I just remember a bunch of labeling. I'll have to go back and read your first post again.

as for a sad thread, maybe it is, but this is a sad world we live in. should we really have to have a thread as this? no, but then the world should not be where it is to day either.....

It is a sad world but I just don't think it was necessary. All it does is cause animosity. Agreed?

when man worships man over God, and allows one man to have complete authority over their lives, when people look to common spirits for answers, when people look to the stars for answers, when people look to anyone other then God for their answers, then it is a sad world.

I agree but my number one worry is everlasting life. We can't save the world and trust me, the world won't save themselves.

    Blessings,

    Jen

  10. This is a sad and ridiculous thread....

Luke 6:37 - Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

I know none of you are God so I know none of you knows what's in a person's heart.

....and no, I don't belong to any of those groups you mentioned in case you were wondering.

  11. I tithe and I enjoy every bit of it. I truly believe the blessings my husband and I have been receiving daily are because we freely and happily give to Yah.

Now I am however under a different situation then most of you. Those of you who attend a church regularly. My minister does not live off our tithes. They go into an account and they stay there. My minister works for Honda.

We did buy some land and Lord willing will be building a church of our own next year. The only times those funds are dispersed are if we need bibles or other supplies, we pay our rent, we have an outing, or if someone in the church needs some help.

I think a lot of the issues people have with tithing is because we see these people on tv with all their gold and diamonds and these huge cathedrals and honestly, that would turn me off too but I can't worry about those people.
