And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1Th 5:23) We are body, soul and spirit while being one, and so is God, so please don't let that get between us. :) -

There are so many cults who come on the Christian forums, not so many these days though. I used to take them seriously, believing them to be genuine, but now I tend to ignore them. -

G96 adokimos ad-ok'-ee-mos From G1 (as a negative particle) and G1384; unapproved, that is, rejected; by implication worthless (literally or morally): - castaway, rejected, reprobate. Total KJV occurrences: 8 i. Disqualified or castaway: “Signifies such a person, as the judges of the games, reject as not having deserved the prize. So Paul himself might be rejected by the great Judge; and to prevent this, he ran, he contended, he denied himself, and brought his body into subjection to his spirit, and had his spirit governed by the Spirit of God.” (Clarke) -

About Christ's preexistence: Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8:58) He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. (Colossians 1:17) I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Revelation 22:13) “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.” (Mic 5:2 NKJV) (Jesus is from everlasting.) 1 John 1:1-2 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life-- and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us-- John 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. John 17:24 "Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. John 17:5 "Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am." Micah 5:2 "But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity." Revelation 1:17-18 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, "Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades. Revelation 22:13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Colossians 1:16-18 — For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Isaiah 44:24 — Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself; John 1:3 — All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Ephesians 3:9 — and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; -

If I did not heed these scriptures, and more like them, I would worry about the identity of my Lord. (2Pe 2:20) For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. (2Pe 2:21) For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. (2Pe 3:17) Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. (Eze 18:24) But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. (Eze 3:20-21) Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. (Gal 1:6) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: (Gal 4:9) But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 1Co_10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. Gal_5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. Heb_4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Heb_6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Jas_5:12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. 2Pe_1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 2Pe_3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. Rev_2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. -

We are safe in the arms of Jesus. UNLESS:- (2Pe 2:20) For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. Hello, water baptism is biblical, but not necessary for salvation. However, baptism is a public declaration of a person's faith, and if someone wants to grow spiritually, water baptism is the next step. It takes a fair bit of courage to do, and I was trembling with nerves. Anyway, I grew in faith and became a stronger Christian. That night, I felt the presence of the Lord with me. So, for me, we can either be a nominal churchgoer or someone on fire for the Lord and one of his disciples, rather than one of the multitudes. Whatever you decide, may the Lord keep you safe and be with you all the days of your life. With Christian love. -

There is more on Nicodemus and JOHN 3:4-7 here:- JESUS AND NICODEMUS - General Discussion - Worthy Christian Forums -
JOHN 3:4-7 A STUDY ON NICODEMUS AND HIS CONVERSATION WITH JESUS Nicodemus said unto Jesus, "How can a man be born when he is old?" Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?" Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of WATER and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be BORN AGAIN. (Joh 3:4-7 KJV) JESUS THE FOUNT OF LIVING WATER Jer_2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. Joh_4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. Joh_7:38-39 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his side shall flow rivers of living water. JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE AND MORE BESIDE (John 14:6) Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. JESUS IS SPIRIT And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. (Gal 4:6-7 KJV) JESUS IS THE GIVER OF ETERNAL LIFE No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. (Joh 3:6-15 ESV) WE ARE BORN AGAIN BY THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (1Pe 1:18-23 KJV)

Yes, praise God. He is my friend and keeper. There have been some terrible times in my life, but when I look back, I can see how God has answered prayer and brought me through. Being a one parent family, for example. Just at the moment, and being two months short of eighty years old, and with difficulty walking, and being a faller (poor balance), I am hoping to move into my own bungalow, and although I never earned much money the Lord has provided a way for this to happen. For which I thank him, but it is not about money, but a love relationship. The worst thing I could do would be to go my own way instead of his, so never mind free will, his way is best. Hi, I have just got back from walking the dog, so running late. I was fortunate, being born into a Christian home. I came back from church one Sunday evening and told my Father I wanted to be a Christian. He explained how we need to accept Jesus Christ into our heart and life, and when Jesus entered in, Satan would flee away and Jesus would be the Lord of my life. James 4:7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 2 Timothy 2:22 Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 abstain from every form of evil. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Rev 3:20 KJV) Ever since then, Jesus has been my Lord and keeper, and I have followed Him and his teaching every step of the way. -

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’ Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’ (Mat 7:21-23 WEB)
