  1. Hello. Again I am confronted with a difficult situation. I will be as clear as possible. I have assigned homework on Google Classroom for which I must read a novel. I do not have that novel, plus the library isn't open during the weekend. One option is for me to buy that book, but unfortunately, most shopping websites don't offer it anymore. Plus in my country is quite expensive. Plus I am kinda close to the deadline of the assignment and let's not forget the delivery time. Another option is to download it online but that would be piracy and a sin in God's eyes which says "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. ". If I am correct this verse is talking about obeying the authorities and the law. Now if piracy is breaking human law isn't it also breaking God's law? If yes, what should I do?
  2. We know atheists don't believe in god and the bible clearly tells us not to argue with a fool, but today I decided to look online for the reasons why they don't believe in GOD. 1)There is no rock-solid evidence. Ironically, there is enough evidence to prove that god is real from the big bang to recorded miracles. However, the term 'rock solid' I don't think is the correct way to see it because science is still limited and we cannot know everything. A good example is the human body, which has been studied for decades and yet we don't fully understand it. So I can say that science doesn't prove everything. We can also demonstrate the existence of god with paranormal events. Videos like this one show that evil spirits do exist. Then if evil spirits, someone good and loving also must exist, because if such beings didn't exist the earth would have become chaos. 2)There is suffering. Because GOD is loving he will allow us to choose the good or bad(sin which leads to suffering). 3)We don't need him I am pretty sure we do just by looking around at the state of the world. These are my arguments what do you think?
  3. I will end the topic with this When we pray to [Mary], we are adhering with her to the plan of the Father, who sends his Son to save all men. Like the beloved disciple we welcome Jesus’ mother into our homes, for she has become the mother of all the living. We can pray with and to her - The Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church. That's what they believe. But the Bible says this : “There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” - 1 Timothy 2:5. I didn't find anywhere in the Bible that mentions anyone asking someone in heaven to pray for him or her. There is not explained how can saints hear our prayers when god is the only one omnipresent.
  4. Yes saints are in heaven. What does it have to do with our subject?
  5. Yes. We should pray for one and another. The questions is who are you asking in your prayer to forgive/protect / (etc) the person you are praying for. The saints or God. It is said in the Bible that we should not worship the creation (saints) but the creator(God).
  6. I'm not catholic but I stumbled upon many articles regarding whether praying to Mary and other saints is an act of idolatry. Some say yes and some say no. Matthew 4:10 says "Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only." Doesn't this mean praying to saints is idolatry?
  7. 1. A few years ago I had accounts on some websites with the number 666 in their names or passwords. At that time I had no interest in the bible, and I didn't know that number is supposed to represent the Beast. Today, some of those accounts still exist but, I lost the credentials to log into them. Is having that number in their names a sin? Does it threaten my salvation? Should I be worried? Does that number make me a worshiper of the Beast? 2. Is having products named the devil a sin and considered an act of worship to Satan? I have a mechanical keyboard with its brand name Redragon. In the bible, the Red Dragon is the devil. What should I do?
