  1. Fruit of repentance This article discusses fruits that accompany genuine repentance. Genuine repentance always results in visible evidence of a change of mind. John 14:15 and 1 John 5:3 instruct believers to “do” God’s commandments, affirming that his commandments are not grievous. And Psalms 138:2 declares that God’s word is more important than his name. Matthew 3:8 and Acts 26:20 command believers to bear fruit, that is to do works, that prove repentance. In Jeremiah 8:6-7, Revelation 9:20-21 and Ezekiel 33:14-15 God declares that men are to repent from their wickedness and do that which is lawful and right, that is to restore the pledge, pay back that taken by robbery, obey God’s commandments, not doing injustice. God’s law, in Leviticus 6:2-5 and Numbers 5:6-7, prescribes that you confess your sin and recompense your trespass, that is restore in the principal and add 20% thereof, and give it unto him against whom you have trespassed. And Proverbs 6:30-31 prescribes that the thief who no longer has the principal shall make restitution, that is to restore sevenfold. The importance God places on doing that which is lawful and right is clearly seen in Exodus 22:3 and Proverbs 6:31, which declare the guilty shall make full restitution to the point of selling everything in his house or working full time to pay for his theft. And in Matthew 5:23-24, Jesus emphasises the need to make things right with others before offering worship to God.

    Repent

    Repent This article discusses the meaning of “repent”. Throughout the Bible God clearly demonstrates that “repent” is “a change of mind”. In Acts 17:29‑31, God commands everyone to repent, that is to change your mind and not think of God as the product of man’s imagination and skill. In Jeremiah 18:7‑8, God sets forth conditions for when he will repent of the evil he said he would do. And, in Jeremiah 18:9‑10 for when he will repent of the good he said he would do. There are many scriptures where God repented, and we’ll look at a few examples, thus proving that “to repent” is “to change your mind”. Noah and the flood. God repents from good, Genesis 1:31, and does evil, Genesis 6:5‑7 and Genesis 7:19‑22. Jonah and Nineveh. God repents from his intent of doing evil, Jonah 3:4, and does it not, Jonah 3:10. David and the numbering of Israel. God repents of the evil, 2 Samuel 24:15 and 1 Chronicles 21:15, and stops the angel, 2 Samuel 24:16 and 1 Chronicles 21:27. Saul and the Amalekites. God repents of making Saul king, 1 Samuel 15:10‑11 and 1 Samuel 15:35, and gives the kingdom to another, 1 Samuel 15:27‑29. In Acts 20:21 the Apostle Paul testifies to all repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such [cases]: but God hath called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save [thy] husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save [thy] wife? Mark 10:4-9 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Not directed to return to former husband “Jesus doesn’t tell the woman at the well to go back to her first husband, John 4:5-42.” He can’t, that’s an abomination. Deuteronomy 24:3-4 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife; Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. Should not stay trapped in an abusive relationship “People should not stay trapped in an abusive relationship.” They are pemitted to leave, but not to remarry. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, [yet] not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from [her] husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to [her] husband: and let not the husband put away [his] wife. We need to respect and support remarriage “Once people are remarried, rightly or wrongly, we need to respect and support that marriage.” Compassion is for those who do not commit a sin unto death. 1 John 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. Jude 1:22-23 And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.   6. Thanks. Your feedback has helped shine a biblical light on express trusts. A closer reading of Gen 1:26-28, reveals: 26. God made he, man in the image and likeness of God; that is to say God, as settlor, chose a trustee who possesses similar attributes to God; 27. God creates a distinction between he, man the trustee; and them, male and female the beneficiaries; 28. God declares the benefits and obligations to them, male and female the beneficiaries. The lawful steps to express the “creation trust” has been copied in the legal system, Three Certainties of Express Trust. A closer reading of Col 1:16-17, reveals God, as settlor, appointed a protector who possesses the same attributes as God, “to direct or restrain the trustees in relation to their administration of the trust.” This is affirmed by Eph 1:13-14. To the followers of God “everything functions as a trust”.
  7. In Gen 1:26-28 God, as grantor or settlor, expresses a trust, the fruits of creation, that names man as the beneficiary. The trustee of the trust is not explicitly named. Who is the trustee?
