  3. I've been drinking an entire half-gallon of orange juice most days lately - water otherwise. Really trying to not drink sodas anymore. Oh, and I hate coffee and teas. Weird me. Sheya
  4. The translation is NKJV. I don't yet know about romance, since I haven't had time to read much further yet. I am hoping the adulterous wife will come to the LORD, and repent and go back to her husband... Sheya
  5. After reading this thread yesterday, I checked the local library's online card catalog, and found that both Oliver North novels are available there. So I have checked out 'Mission Compromised.' I've read about 150 pages (out of 605) and like what I have read so far. What does it tell you about a novel, that on the copyright page in the front there is a notice that all quotes from the Bible, unless otherwise noted, come from a specific translation of the Bible? How many novels have such a note in them? Oh, and as I was reading chapter two last night - I was in tears. Very moving. Just from what I have read so far, I will give it a . Sheya
  6. As was given in an earlier reply: Rev (was it chapter 11?) verse 6: These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want. My thoughts: Elijah was famous in the OT for praying to shut up the sky, while Moses was famous for the plagues on Egypt (not that either man actually did such things, but they acted as the LORD told them to do). So I assume it is from that, and from the pair of them appearing with Jesus during the Transfiguration, that people have thought that perhaps the two witnesses would be these two men. I don't think necessarily they would BE the two men come back from the dead. Jesus said that John the Baptist fulfilled the prophecy about Elijah coming before the Messiah - so men who are LIKE Moses and Elijah would be enough to fulfill this. IMO Sheya
