  1. I agree with yod. I think that a faith-based relationship with Christ leads to honouring the Sabbath. I don't see it any other way. If you don't, i'm not going to judge you. But the Sabbath, to a Gentile believer like myself, has much significance. God bless.
  2. Paul said that it doesn't matter. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. Why are we making it more complex than that? The whole Law can be summed up just the way Jesus said. Love God, love your neighbour. Where is loving your calendar on that list???
  3. You are using, in typical Calvinistic style, a play on words (define freewill, etc.). Lets skip the intellectual circle reasonings and get down to the basics. God asks us to repent over and over in Scripture. He gets angry, upset when we do not. Obviously there is a reason for that. I am not going to get mad at a newborn babe for not reading...he can't even write yet. Is this over your head? He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Freewill and our choice in accepting or rejected Jesus Christ is a Biblical staple. Just read John 3:16-18.
  4. I am a former Catholic. My whole dad's side of the family is staunch Catholic. That religion is a forgery. A lie. A deception. Satan's number 1 tool. It is Mystery Babylon the Great. Read Revelation 17 and 18 in full. Who could the "Woman" be but Mother Church? Seven hills, that Great City, Kings of the Earth, etc. The description is there for all to see. The old reformers never questioned the fact that the Pope was Antichrist. Either does the Apostle John. In love, Michael.
  5. Why do so many Christians feel the need to pretend that they are Jews? You are not Jewish...get it through your head. We are Gentiles. Gentiles...hear that everyone? We are spiritual Jews, yes, but don't go around pretending that you are the seed of Abraham because you learned how to say Shalom last week. We Gentile believers are NOT under the Law. Paul clearly says that. However, Paul simply states that if someone does honour the Sabbath day, to the Lord he does or does not do so. Why make this issue more complex than need be? Saturday, Sunday, who cares? Sorry if that sounds offensive, but God doesn't care about the legalities but the state of the heart. Do you think that God is mad at me because I go to church on Sunday? Would Saturday make His presence any more real? If your kid messes up Fathers Day or Mothers Day and gave you your gift a day late or early...are you going to spank him? He made a legal mistake...but his heart was right on the money. Who's with me?
  6. If there is aliens...they are demons. However, lets not put people down for seeking. This question may not have much significance in your life, but to someone else the answer to this question may make the difference between seeking Christ further or not. I don't think that Christians should ridicule people for being thirsty for knowledge. As long as an individual does not lose focus on the big picture (Christ), "trivial" matters such as these are anything but. I know for myself, researching Catholicism and its evils did much in leading me to follow Christ. God knows each of our own personalities and holdups. He works on our hearts accordingly. A scientist may be much interested in knowing that the Bible provides accurate and intellectual answers regarding dinosaurs, etc. God loves us so much that He sends us answers accordingly. Information useless to one, may be the very knowledge that sparks a flame in another. God bless.
  7. is it possible to hear and not hear at the same time? of course. i hear people at work talk all the time. but do i hear what they are saying? just wanted to commend super jew for his Biblical answer. also, the fact that our Bible, after thousands of years of translation, does not correct seeming contradictions, proves even more that we have the infallible inspired Word of God in our hands today. If the Bible were preserved by men, this "contradiction" would never get the chance to be read by any of us. Get my drift??? some people say, "the Bible is a lie because people can't live to 1000 years old like adam, etc." I say, "the Bible is true because it never needed to change." God bless.
  8. Again, like i said in a previous post. We need a balance. Division is bad, yes. Unity is bad, yes. They are both bad in competing circumstances. Revelation speaks of a One World Religion...unity. Is it good? No. Should light fellowship with darkness? No. Unity isn't always good. Division is bad too...if done for the sake of rebellion. However, division can be good if done for the sake of unity with Christ. Jesus said I come not to send peace but division (paraphrasing). Amen??? I just feel like sometimes brothers and sisters on this board go to one extreme or the other. For example: many say that 'conspiracy theories' are wrong. Yes, i agree. But what is a conspiracy theory? 9/11 for example. In my opinion, the facts are facts. It was a lie, scam, sham, prank, etc. No warming words can change that fact. That is not a conspiracy theory (he who has eyes to see let him see). The media are the ones propaganding conspiracy theories. Am I wrong for believing in common sense? Am I wrong for believing the world is being run just the way the Bible says it is? We as Christians must have respect, dignity, and honour for authority. But there is a balance. We as Christians must also not be ignorant of their evil devices. Do we take the mark of the beast because a president tells us to? Without balance, you see, we crumble indeed. Those three young Jewish men...remember them? Sometimes we need to honourably be thrown into the furnace...make sense?
  9. right on man! so often i hear of Christians who believe that Jesus died spiritually. this doctrine is utter falacy and i have written an essay examining this. it is much too long to post here. Jesus took on a body so that He could die...otherwise, it would have been impossible for Him. I'm so glad that I read your post, its rare to find a believer well versed in regards to this essensial topic. God bless.
  10. A true Christian, at least one under the Holy Spirit's guidence, would assuredly hold to neither Calvinism or Armenianism. Why must Christians be so unbalanced in their doctrines so often? I'm sure that it's the Devil's trickeries. The Biblical stance in easy. God, in His foreknowledge, has elected, called, and chosen those whom He will...based on His soveirgn and grand plan...called freewill. Calvinism is so ridiculous of an idea, and so contrary to Scripture, that I almost find there no need to comment on it or refute it. Any individual versed to even somewhat of a degree in Scripture knows that man's freewill is a nothing but a cornerstone of God's dealings with humanity. Armenianism goes too far also in somuch that it holds to the notion that a believer in Christ can lose his or her salvation. Many problems arise there also. If one was saved, and God is not willing that any should perish, and then loses his/her salvation, why didn't God take that person home when they were saved? I could go on and on here but common sense appears only too obvious concerning this topic. p.s. if you are a calvinist, why even bother replying to this post? I had no choice and I can't believe you anyway...baloney...with all due respect.
