    Nobody Knows Me Like You

    By Benny Hester

In the beginning I never knew

Just how much I really needed You

More than a friend, someone I could talk to

You've changed me in so many ways.

    chorus:

    Nobody knows me like You

You put Your arms around me

    You bring me through

And there's many times I don't know what to do

    Though some know me well

Still nobody knows me like You

All of my secrets to You I tell

You saw each time that I slipped and fell

And all of my faults yes, You know them well

But You've never turned me away, no, no, no

    (chorus)

Walkin' in your presence is where I wanna be

You said in Your Word, You said that You would lead me

Yes I love You, oh, I really love You

    I'II go anywhere

As long as I know you'll be there

All of those nights that I was afraid

I stood on the promises You have made

The way that I act sometimes l am ashamed

But You've never turned me away, no, no, no

    (chorus)

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like this song because it reminds me that God is always there and knows when I hurt and what I need. These scriptures are brought to mind:

    Jer 1:5 (NKJV)

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;....."

    Matt 6:8 (NASB)

"....for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. "

  2. I love to sing!!! :anv20181: I started in the 4th grade in chorus. I was in Choir from the 4th grade until I graduated High School. But since my thyroid was removed, I don't sing as well as I used to. They said my right vocal cord is partially paralyzed. But that is ok. I still make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord!!!:D

  3. I found this on another site and thought I would share it with everyone. Please read it all the way through.

    The Christian's Bill of Rights

    1) As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we have only one right: and that is to give up all rights to ourselves (2 Cor. 5:14-16; Romans 14:7-9).

    2) We have the right to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him (Mt. 16:24-26).

    3) We have the right to esteem others more highly than ourselves; and love our neighbor as ourselves (Mt. 22:39; Phil. 2:1-5).

    4) We have the right to fulfill the law of Christ in bearing one another's burdens of sin (Gal. 6:1-3).

    5) We have the right to be wronged and to maintain a faithful testimony (1 Cor. 6:1-8).

    6) We have the right to live in unreciprocated self-sacrificial love (Eph. 5:1-2).

    7) We have the right to forgive others the smaller debt, as God in Christ has forgiven us the larger debt (Eph. 4:31-32; Matthew 18:12-35).

    8) We have the right to suffer for the gospel and to take the blows for the One who took the blows for us (1 Peter 2:21-24) .

    9) We have the right to be "subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be uncontentious, gentle, showing every consideration for all men" (Titus 3:1-2).

    10) We have the right to not be political agitators trading the truth of His Word to play politics with men's souls; thinking that true spiritual change occurs through legislation rather than the transforming power of the gospel of grace. (1 Peter 4:10-16).

    11) We have the right to turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:39).

    12) We have the right to be stripped of all earthly things (Matthew 5:40-42).

    13) We have the right to not repay evil for evil and to be at peace with all men as much as it depends on you (Romans 12:17-18).

    14) We have the right to love our enemies, do good to them that hate us, bless those who curse us and pray for those that despitefully use us (Matthew 5:44-45).

    15) We have the right to pursue holiness-not personal happiness (1 Peter 1:13-16).

    16) We have the right not to be ashamed of the gospel (2 Tim. 1:6-18).

    17) We have the right not to harbor revenge, anger, bitterness, clamoring, wrath, malice and slander (Ephesians 4:31).

    18) We have the right not to quench or grieve the Holy Spirit. (Eph. 4:30; 1 Thess. 5:19).

    19) We have the right to repent of and not cherish our sins (Psalm 66:18).

    20) We have the right to guard the trust; and to contend for the once for all delivered to the saints faith (1 Timothy 6:20; Jude 1:3).

    21) We have the right to train our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:1-3).

    22) We have the right to reflect God's covenantal relationship with us by honoring our vows in the covenant of marriage with our spouse (Mt. 19:6).

    23) We have the right to worship Christ Jesus as God of every God; Creator; Redeemer; Sovereign Lord and Ruler of all (Col. 1:15-19; Hebrews 1:8; Phil. 2:5-11).

    24) We have the right to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy, acceptable pleasing unto God (Roms. 12:1-2).

    25) We have the right to live in the expectancy and hope of the Lord's return by which we purify ourselves (Roms. 12:1-2).

    26) We have the right to march daily on our knees in prayer; praying for our leaders in government; our church leaders; our fellow believers; our families; and the lost (1 Timothy 2:1-3; Ephesians 6:18-21).

    27) We have the right to praise and glorify God according to how He has revealed Himself through the pages of His Word (Col. 3:16-17).

    28) We have the right to the accountability of the local church; to obey our leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over our souls, as those who will give an account (Hebrews 13:17).

    29) We have the right to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:18-20).

    30) We have the right to have no rights apart from Christ Himself; "for whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it" (Matt. 16:25: John 15:5).

  4. I have a co-worker who is Jewish. She is considered a Conservative Jew. She said that she doesn't believe in hell and that the Torah is her bible. The other parts of the Old Testament do not play a part in her beliefs. She believes when we die our spirit is turned to energy and released in the cosmos.

HELP!!! I want to witness to her and show her the way to Jesus. I need some guidance and more insight into her beleifs. Can anyone help me?

    Thank you in advance,

  5. When I was a little girl, about 6 or 7 years old, I was given a bunny rabbit for easter. I was petting it and it got away from me going behind the couch in the living room. We had carpet on the living room floor. I tried to catch it which I did. I had gotten a hold of it's tail. I pulled it toward me and it dug in to the carpet trying to get away from me. All of the sudden I fell backward and it was going the other way. I had its tail still in my hand but the bunny rabbit wasn't attached to it. :(:emot-hug:

    :20: I had pulled off it's tail!! :20:

    I felt really bad!!!

But, good news!! After a while it grew a new tail!!!! :noidea:

  6. I actually have two versions: NLT with dramatization read by Stephen Johnston and NASB MP3 audio bible read by Dale McConachie.

I prefer the NASB because the NLT with dramatization has music in it which distracts from the scripture being read. I like the dramatization but the music needs to be softer. Here is a sample of what it sounds like. This is the DVD version though: http://www.christianbook.com/nlt-signature-edition-bible-on/9781603620499/pd/620499

I like listening to scripture while I follow along in my bible. I especially like it when I have problems pronouncing some of the names and places in the bible. They are a stumbling block to me when I read aloud myself. I lose my concentration because of it. With the audio bibles this doesn't happen. I can absorb it more clearly this way.

  7. I was sent this video by Tangle. It is about the wonderful talents of a now 12 year old girl who began painting at the age of 4. She is self taught. She has visions of God and Heaven and paints them. They are Beautiful!!

    Akiane Kramarik - Art

Jeremiah 29:11,"For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope."

Here is her website (http://akiane.com/gallery.html) that you can view the paintings more clearly. They are BEAUTIFUL!!! Enjoy!!!

  8. A video of a smoking two-year-old baby caused uproar after it appeared briefly on YouTube in March, prompting outrage before it was removed from the site. According to unconfirmed news reports, the smoking toddler, Ardi Rizal, was witnessed by a reporter when he visited his home in the fishing village of Musi Banyuasin, in Indonesia's South Sumatra province.

    :24:See Video Here!!! :24:

    :24: That is TERRIBLE!!!! :24:

Now you know that child was introduced to that by adults!!!! They could teach that child that smoking is wrong.

  9. I'd politely explain to them that there is no Truth apart from the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that I was not interested. If they insisted that I keep it. I would burn it outside in the firepit and as it burned I would rebuke the darkness and deception and ask the Lord to release the person from the Bondage of Islam. I would ask the Lord to open their eye's to the Truth and that this false word would fall harmlessly to the ground and that God's Word would be lifted up in their life.

I have actually done this with some Watch Tower materials that someone gave me and that I had witnessed to recently.

    Peace,

    Dave

    Amen

  10. Normal is not always normal for all, normal for one is not normal for another, so, what is Normal?

yes up to late and being weird again, or am I being normal?...

    hmm..

For instance, earthquakes are normal in California, but not in New York!

 I guess "Normal" is relative to the circumstances and situation surrounding it.

  11. This is actually the first prudent thing he's done.

There is going to be a huge War there and very soon.

I see that the Germans will be sending a Frigate too.

It's interesting that the Germans, the U.S., and Britain are also meeting over the huge economic situation looming on the horizon. What you are seeing manifest wth Europes economy is only the tip of the iceberg.

One only need to look to History to see what is coming next. :emot-hug:

    Dave...

I'm such a loon... I read your comment above and I'm thinking - WHY WOULD GERMANY SEND A REFRIGERATOR????:thumbsup:

 And I thought my eyesight was bad. That is Funny Believer. Maybe it is Germany's version of a "COLD" war!!!

  12. Well, there's a lot to be said about spiritual discernment. I know it's something Christians are supposed to use and I fully believe it exists. However, I'm always a little bit leery of tying to explain God's motives behind every major event/disaster that happens. I hear that all the time from some of my fellow believers and it has always bothered me.

I've lost count of the people I've heard who claimed 9/11 was punishment for America's growing rejection of God. Was it? I don't know. Perhaps that played a role in it and perhaps it wasn't punishment at all, but an event intended to draw people to God in a time of trouble. I certainly believe America has lost it's moral compass and is drifting further and further from God. And I believe that like all sin, there have been and will be consequences for this. But I'm not entirely ready to attribute such a horrific event to mere "punishment."

And then there's Katrina. I've got friends who said right from the start that it was God's judgment on New Orleans because it was a "den of iniquity."

I hear the same for earthquakes and floods and tornadoes and practically every other tragedy that occurs. I've had Christian friends that would click their tongue and shake their heads whenever anything remotely bad happened to other Christians and declare it was God punishing them for some sin in their life. Honestly, I cannot bring myself to be that judgmental. How is it that people can so easily forget Job? He did nothing wrong. He was not living a sinful, backslidden life.

And what about Sodom and Gomorrah? God said the city would be spared if He found just 10 righteous people living within it. Were there not even 10 righteous people in New Orleans?

I know there is consequence for sin, be it personal or national. The Bible teaches over and over that we reap what we sow. But it also teaches about the mercy and grace of God. He does not always give us the punishment we deserve. Shoot, He pretty much NEVER gives us the punishment we deserve considering "the wages of sin is death."

I just believe that God's mind is so far beyond our understanding that we would be wise to stop constantly trying to read it. I've asked "why" more times than I can remember. Sometimes He gives me an answer and sometimes He doesn't. Ultimately, God is doing what He knows is best. While we, as Christians, should always be sensitive to His guidance and prodding, I also believe we too often rush in to claim understanding when we really have none. I won't declare any tragedy, be it personal or national, a punishment unless and until God Himself tells me as much. Instead, I'll just pray for His guidance and grace. Pray for the victims. And pray for those who so readily cast blame.

 Amen winsomebulldog!!! :emot-hug: I couldn't have said it better!

  13. I agree with man.

The life of a christian is a life that should be guided and governed by God via the Holy Spirit. People have to make the choice to enter in the narrow way and allow God to guide them on their path via the Holy Spirit to keep them on the narrow path. It is like being on a highway. There are a lot of exit ramps during your journey. Some people get off the narrow path with the cares and worries of this life. That is why "there are few who find it."
