  1. I have never seen an idea so low. The sickest possible thing they could've possibly done is that.
  2. KJV here. There are a lot of people who say you should only read this, or that, or blah.. this is a good example: http://www.av1611.org/niv.html I myself am not too fond of the NIV, but eh whatever version works for you.
  3. Jack chick sums it up nicely http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/1000/1000_01.asp Anyone who comes into offense against Israel will see God's wrath at their doorstep. Isaiah 41:12-14 Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you," declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
  4. Two things with this: 1. Everyone who dies a believer will still live, not just the saints. What then, I can pray to my great-grandmother who died a christian? God forbid! Should I pray to any other mortal who died a christian? Should I split my prayers between God and dead men? Hell no. 2. Yes, the believers will be ressurected, but that comes at Judgement day after Armageddon. Until then, souls are only waiting: And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (Rev 20:11-12)
  5. heathen is just a term, like unbeliever/nonbeliever, or non-christian, it's not any worse or more slang-like than the others. It's just a term.
  6. Hello all. I'm giving a bible to an un-believer, and I want to know, where do y'all think would be the best place to put the bookmark? I want to put it in the best place possible.

    WJRST?

He did. He died for the sins of those two people, and every other person in the world.
  8. If anyone here believes in the bible code, the chip is mentioned maaaaany times: the chip is a blemish, the mark of the beast Microchip mark of the beast the cursed microchip, mark of death A chip in 2006 Microchip mark of the beast 2 A chip in medicine THE CORE OF THE MARK IS LITHIUM
  9. I would indeed agree that it's possible to be very worldly at age 13. As Giaour said, 13 and the next few years are the ones that start transitioning one from youth to teenagehood, and then to adulthood. Some things can only be experienced by age.
  10. It might possibly refer to this: ".Do I mean then that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord
  11. I think it's possible to lose salvation. I don't know what OSAS stands for, either. There are many people I know who grew up as christians during the first years of their lives, and then around age 14 or 15 they become atheists or convert to some other "mystical" path. Some of them worse than others, some becoming satanists or cursing at God whenever they get the chance... I am not sure what will happen to these people in the afterlife, I believe that you have to remain faithful. Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh [the temptations of sin] will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
  12. None of those say anything about praying to Mary or bowing to statues of her. I agree that she was blessed (Quite frankly I don't know anything more blessing than being the mother of God's Saviour) but nothing about praying to her. And if you believe in the bible code: http://exodus2006.com/fab/mary-queen.htm
  13. I don't hate catholics myself, whatever path you choose is your choice. The only thing I can think of, on the top of my head is: And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. (matthew 23:9) The name "father" has been used by catholic clergy yes? Pope comes from the latin Papa, meaning father. According to wikipedia, many of them sign their name with titles such as: I kind of find this on the verge of sin... "The greatest bridgemaker"? Christ is the only bridge between God and people. why so? He preaches what's true instead of what's popular.
  14. I believe the numbers 666 are supposed to be the total of a man's name, not of a date
  15. supposedly the Ark is in Axum, Ethiopia, it is widely believed that the Ark is currently being held in the Church of Saint Mary of Zion
