    Hell????

So the next time you are having a tough time with a non-believer and you have this incredible "What Would Jesus Do?" moment .. .. just tell yourself "He's gonna burn and roast 'em in HELL!!" Great way to show off God's omnibenevolence guys.
  2. On second thought ..my statement does sound a little over the edge to me ..my obedience to the Lord is not complete ..if it were i wouldn't sin no more ..so my resurrection solely depends on Him seeing if i were a faithful servant or not ..so you are true in saying that, that statement would make me a liar God-man are you sure? ..what is it then? works? ..elect? True. I see your logic in the statements: 1) Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up 2) God raised Jesus 3) God doesnt lie ..Jesus doesnt lie So from the above three the only solution could be Jesus is God. Let me pray on it and i will get back
  3. It is sad that we still believe in the devils lie in the garden that we are like God sharing His immortality That was what God had to say about satan who told us we will be like God if we ate the forbidden fruit. If God says a 'fallen' angel will never be any more ..how sure are we to say that our souls are immortal and we will be forever? Nothing can exists on its own ..everything needs God for its very existence ..is there any christian who will deny this? Then if you say there will be people with immortal souls existing in the hell fire for eternity then you are implicitly saying that God is replenishing them with that existence ..but hell is separation from God and how can one claim that anything that in its totality being separated from God can exists on it own?
  4. I believe in the word of God ..in His plan of salvation. I say to you today ..destroy this temple and I will raise it up on the day of my Lord's second coming. i can say the above sentence not on my own accord but by the faith i have in my Lord and saviour. The above sentence doesnt make me a liar ..and since i will be resurrected on the last day doesnt make me God or the Messiah. Like I said if you look at John 2:19 in the light of John 5:26 and see that Jesus spoke in faith of the Father giving Him immortal life resurrecting Him .. If Jesus was God and the trinity were true then you should agree that though they hold three "offices" their inner essence or will is the same ..then why does Jesus pray "not what I will, but what Thou will" ?? are their wills different? .. If Jesus did actually have the power to raise Himself from the dead without the Father 'coz He is 100% god Himself then ..why was he crying with tears and praying and pleading? Doesnt He know He is God?
  5. Now read John 2:19 in the light of John 5:26 and see what Jesus actually meant by it
  6. Thanks Skillet, I would have pointed it out ..but the response would have been that Jesus was the angel of the Lord who appeared unto moses who is the "third-head" of God so it was God .. It is easy to bring and say "look there is Jesus, thats Him" in the old testament scripture .. but the truth is: In the old testament God didnt use the Son to talk to us ..Jesus the Son's interaction only started in the NT ..the OT sightings, they are what the scripture says "angels of the Lord". I stress my point one more time burning fire and bush are creations ..God is a creator not the creation ..if we say that the burning bush was God then we have nothing in difference with a hindu brahmin who prays in the morning to the sun ..coz its a god to him .. Just because God uses a creation to manifest His glory and power doesnt make Him that creation. Pillar of Smoke and Fire are Gods manifestations to lead the people of israel not God Himself. If the smoke and pillar of fire were God then why did Jesus say no one has ever seen God? ..Jesus was a perfect manifestation of Gods love and Gods plan for our salvation.
  7. Saying ANY part of me: body, mind, heart, soul, spirit, nephish, knowledge, consciousness ..whatnot and whatever is immortal is ridiculous ..its making myself equal to God who alone is immortal .. in my death, all I am is dust ..no consciousness ..no worship ..no praises to the Lord ..resurrection in Christ ..eternal life in God is the only cure. The thief said to Jesus on the cross if the thief's soul was immortal and if he was going to heaven immediately after death ..it should've been "remember me when i come into your kingdom" ..but the thief says otherwise ..so when is the Lord coming into His kingdom? ..on His return when He will establish His kingdom on earth ..so the thief rightly spoke to remember him THEN ..so what is the thief going to do untill THEN? NOTHING ..he is dead ..there is no remembrance in sheol ..thats what I will do ..do nothing ..untill the Lord comes in His glory and raises me up from the dust that I have returned to.
  8. It says in the scripture SRMF, Here's my question for the trinitarians ..we know that God is spirit ..so before Jesus was "human" He should have been Spirit ..please correct me if I am wrong! ..now after resurrection Jesus had a physical body because He carried the scars of His crucifixion which His disciples saw ..He was in flesh and bone as He said .. So do you now believe that the "third person" of God has forever changed His form from being a Spirit from eternity to a human flesh and bone for eternity??? God doesn't change.
  9. There are sufficient replies for the question at hand, most of which are in agreement. Here are some new thoughts. The problem I have seen with some posts is that, some theists didn't like the saying "God is bound to logic". And unless you agree to that we can't seem to find a resolution to the "rock" statement. But there is another angle we can look at this situation at. We say God is love. So His character and actions line up with that quality. Similarly since God is the source of all intelligence, the One who created the universe, we can say that God is logic. Since God is logic He will not do anything illogical. Now consider making a big rock that He cannot lift. What? Since you are on earth ..and if you lift something you will feel the force of gravity on that object you are trying to lift. Consider the earth. Can you lift earth? ..what are you going to lift it from? Isn't earth hanging in its orbit ..You need power to lift something when there is an opposing force of gravity. So when God creates that almost infinitely big rock it will still be hanging. So the question of lifting it doesnt arise. And even if by imaginary gravitational forces He made the rock heavier ..He will still be able to lift it no matter what because of His omnipotence. So He cannot create a rock that He cannot lift because doing so would be a contradiction to His logical character. So the question of God being bound to logic doesn

    Trinity

Kyle, You got most of the points covered. And for the part since Jesus forgave sins, so He is God, here are some thoughts Jesus breathed the Holy Ghost unto the disciples and told them this. So the disciples had the power to forgive sins now. What if everyone whose sins they remitted called them Gods? Would that be right. Jesus didnt forgive sins on His own accord but the Father gave Jesus the Holy Ghost without measure which gave Jesus the power to forgive sins just as the disciples could forgive sins after Jesus gave them the Holy Ghost that He received from the Father. I have another question. How can God give Jesus the Holy Ghost without measure if Jesus is God and the trinity can never be seperated. Was there a point when Jesus was without the Holy Ghost? If yes, then was there a twin-ity for a certain period of time? If no, then how can God give Jesus that Jesus already has? Seeking, BigD.

    Are you implying that Jesus

    Trinity

Dont worry now we both can feel ganged upon Will try to help when I can .. Liked your God cannot be tempted verse ..also God is eternal means HE cant die ..God cannot go weary .. Jesus was tempted ..grew weary and died ..now why is that? My question is, are there any exceptions for the above quoted ..like God can be tempted if HE wanted to ..and God can die if HE wanted to ..and God can grow weary if HE wanted to ..if yes, then why does the bible say that God cannot be tempted and HE cannot die and HE cannot grow weary if there are exceptions and HE really CAN ..and if no, there are no exceptions ..then why do you say Jesus is God in the trinity and He was tempted and grew weary and died?

    Trinity

ksalzar Here's more scripture to reinforce that. So the angels of our God were just that angels and not Jesus. Many people say that Jesus walked with adam in eden ..and He was the angel and or the burning flame/bush ..nope ..God didnt talk to us through Jesus untill these last days like the above verse says.
  14. A google on "benny hinn false prophet" will reveal a lot of articles on how he can be categorized as a false prophet ..some with proof I wouldnt go as far as condemning him to hell ..coz thats not my place ..its my Father in heaven's
