  1. luvmdo,

Don't give up hope. Trust in the Lord. He will provide for you. I understand exactly how you feel. I have been there. As a single mom, I have had many struggles but God has always provided for me & my children. My daughter & her husband have also been going through much of the same as you have described. Things are starting to really come together for them. We give God all the praise & glory for His faithfulness. :)

  2. does this eliminate him from Christ then?

when we sin---we are committing adultery with our groom.

does Christ divorce and abandon us?

If you are married to an unbelieving spouse here is what 1 Corinthians 7:12-15 says:

12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

    hi thank you

my husband lives a life apart from us because he chose to. i didnt ask him to leave. and do believe that i worked hard,to save our marriage but i cant put the kids though this anymore. my son is 15, he needs a father to talk to that listens to him. my son has a very tender spirit. my husbands answer to every problem is physical and emotional abuse towards him. my weight has soared in the past years my fault i know. now that he has left i have emotional times when i miss him so very much. but i pray for comfort of God to see me though those times. thank you for the verses.

You are very welcome! I have been in a similiar situation. So, I really do understand what you are going through. May the Lord bless you & your children with much peace & joy.

  4. To cut a long story short, i've just spent all day at hospital with my neice, who was taken in due to suspected meningetis (i know that's not how it's spelt :noidea: ).  But it turned out not to be.  Whilst there, my sister told me she had bought a Bible and wanted to get right with God again!  For all of you who know me here, this is something i've been praying for, for a long time.  It was fantastic, at last, to be able to speak openly with my own sister about God for the first time!

    Anne,

Praise the Lord! How awesome that you were able to speak openly about the Lord to your sister. I am very happy for you. I'm glad that your niece doesn't have meningitis.

  5. I don't think it is in God's character to pass a judgment and leave His children divided on whether or not it was judgment, and if so what is was judgment for.

    Isaiah 55:8,9

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I found this article be quite interesting.

  6. I had the privilege of attending a service in Belfast Metropolitan Tabernacle tonight, the choir and sermon were outstanding.

During the appeal at the end of the service, 17 people accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour, that's 17 more people going home, a victory has been won at the cross yet again, we have something to praise our Lord Jesus for tonight.

    God Bless you all

That is so awesome! :) What a blessing for you to witness 17 new-believers in the Lord. Praise, Jesus! :)

  7. Disclaimer: I am not the author.

My good friends took their first-grader on a car trip to Canada.

To help pass the time, the boy practiced his new reading skills by calling out road signs.

He fell asleep just before they entered Quebec.

When he awoke he saw the French highway signs and said in a worried  tone.

"I think I forgot how to read while I was asleep."

    That is funny! ;)

  8. But what about criminals and welfare parasites? Do they worry about saving their houses and property? They don't, because they don't own anything. Do they worry about what is going to happen to their businesses or how they are going to make a living? They never worried about those things before. Do they worry about crime and looting? But living off of stolen wealth is a way of life for them.

People living in piles of their own trash, while petulantly complaining that other people aren't doing enough to take care of them and then shooting at those who come to rescue them

  9. I apologize if I was unclear here.  But I do believe that Jesus has liberated women, and men. Through Him, we have freedom we did not have before.

If one looks at the society and culture during Jesus' life, I do believe He liberated women at that time; for example, no other Jewish man would have spoken to the woman at the well the way He did; no other "religious leader" would have allowed a prostitute to come in and wash his feet with her perfume and her hair.  That is what I mean by Jesus' liberating women.

I can tell you personally that Jesus has liberated me from the lies and deceit of Satan, and much misery from my past.  Hallelujah, He has liberated me!! :noidea:

And as far as Jesus not caring; uh, okay, forgive me for using a figure of speech.   I'll rephrase it:  I do not believe that Jesus is concerned with whether or not I wear a hat or head covering to church; I do believe that He is concerned, and does CARE, about the condition of my heart.

I believe all of this falls into the same category as much of Paul's other teachings; while we might be free to do something, if it hurts us or hurts someone else if we do or don't do it, then we should always choose to do that which glorifies God.

Therefore, my salvation is not dependent on whether or not I wear a head covering!  But, if doing so brings glory to God and helps to win someone to the Kingdom, then I should do it.

    Elizabeth,

I agree with your above quote! :emot-highfive::thumbsup:
