  1. luvmdo, Don't give up hope. Trust in the Lord. He will provide for you. I understand exactly how you feel. I have been there. As a single mom, I have had many struggles but God has always provided for me & my children. My daughter & her husband have also been going through much of the same as you have described. Things are starting to really come together for them. We give God all the praise & glory for His faithfulness.
  2. Happy Thanksgiving! May the Lord bless you with a wonderful day.
  3. I guess if someone was unsure about their Christianity they wouldn't want to view such things. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  4. If you are married to an unbelieving spouse here is what 1 Corinthians 7:12-15 says: 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hi thank you my husband lives a life apart from us because he chose to. i didnt ask him to leave. and do believe that i worked hard,to save our marriage but i cant put the kids though this anymore. my son is 15, he needs a father to talk to that listens to him. my son has a very tender spirit. my husbands answer to every problem is physical and emotional abuse towards him. my weight has soared in the past years my fault i know. now that he has left i have emotional times when i miss him so very much. but i pray for comfort of God to see me though those times. thank you for the verses. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are very welcome! I have been in a similiar situation. So, I really do understand what you are going through. May the Lord bless you & your children with much peace & joy.

  8. Meant to edit my previous post and ended up quoting it by mistake.

Isaiah 55:8,9 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 12. Hello, FootPrintsInTheSand! I pray that you will get comfort from the following scriptures. I for one believe that we will see our beloved pets again. The following verses are taken from the King James Version Bible. Isaiah 11:6-9 6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. 7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Job 12:7-10 7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: 8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. 9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? 10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. Psalm 136:25 25 Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever. Proverbs 12:10 10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Psalm 50:9-11 9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. 10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. Luke 12:6 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
  13. I think that this may be why you are feeling lukewarmness. You are doing "stuff". It has become a routine for you. All Christians go through this at some point. We need to spend time alone with the Lord. With no distractions of any kind. Too many outside influences takes our time away from Jesus. Even being involved with church activities can leave you feeling over-whelmed and tired. Jesus always got away from the crowds to spend time alone with the Father. I wonder if God uses these situations when we start feeling this way as a wake-up call to us.
  14. I don't believe that forgiveness means that you won't remember any wrong-doing that has been done to you. Forgiveness means having no hatred against anyone and moving on. But, it does not mean that you are to be a door-mat for abuse either. I agree with you that we should be very careful and wise in our relationships.
  15. The most moving movie that I have ever watched is "Schindlers List". I haven't watched a movie in such a long time. I find there is not much out there anymore for Christians to watch.
  16. I have also struggled with this. The Lord has taught me that only Jesus is perfect. That I will fall sometimes but He is there to strengthen me. Jesus has died for my sins. All sin, past, present & future. For me to try to impress God through my own rightousness would be crazy. I can't be perfect but I can be obedient. The enemy is still trying to convince Christians that they are not saved by the blood of the Lamb. We are not under the law but under grace. But, it doesn't mean that we can sin and do what we want. If we love the Lord we will want to be obedient.
  17. tankusomaximus, I'm so very sorry that you and your children have suffered so much. I pray that the Lord heals & comforts you & your children. Also, that He places a hedge of protection around each of you.
  18. Keith, I absolutely loved your post. Thank you so much for blessing me today! May the Lord bless you for your faithfulness.
