  1. Yes, I think that's what I was saying. And I now see what you're saying. But {seems I always have to add a but }, if I was born gay--how could I ever hope to change? ANd what good are these ministries that help you out of the lifestyle? Is it all a waste? BLessings; corey
  2. Mark; I'm not debating what you say, I agree with you. Except to say, if I was born gay, where's my sin for living the gay lifestyle? If God made me gay, why would He expect me to live any other way? I do believe, and said it in one of my posts, that some gays were born with the disposition, just like they say alcoholics are born with the disposition. Do you see what I'm saying? blessings; corey

    Judas

I don't think Judas was saved because there is no clear evidence that he repented. He just went and hung himself out of guilt. And I don't think guilt = repentance. Also, look at Peter. Jesus told Peter the cock wouldn't crow until Peter denied Him three times. When the cock crowed, Peter was reminded of what Jesus said and Peter wept bitterly. I think out of the four Gospels, one of the writers would have written about it if Judas repented. Just my humble opinion. Corey
  4. My experience with pride is that I never recognize it, it has to be pointed out to me. Pride is very sneaky, it manifests itself in many ways. It's good to have someone close to you to point out pride when it reveals it's ugly head. At least for me. Corey
  5. Dear ArtsyLady; No, I have never had to force myself to find a woman attractive. Even living the lifestyle, when I would see a pretty lady, I would know it. For example: Shania Twain. I find her most attractive and wouldn't mind having a date or two. My biggest problem is my fear of having sex with a wife. Could I do it? I honestly don't know. Maybe if I find someone to date, once we'd fall in love, that would come natural. But it's a big fear. I enjoy your questions. They make me think. Blessings; Corey
  6. key word in there is sometimes. not all homosexuals were molested, i for sure wasnt. so how do u know ur straight I didn't say all homosexuals were molested, I said a good number of them were. I also don't believe just because a child was molested they become gay. My sisters & I were all molested, but I'm the only one that came out of it gay. It's a process of many factors that makes one gay. I would go as far as to say that maybe there is a predisposition from birth. But living the gay lifestyle is a choice. As for knowing if you're straight. Well, I don't think there's an easy answer for that. It takes a lot of research, heart search, soul search, to come out of the lifestyle. And I think once you're freed from the snare of homosexuality, it is then possible to look for a woman to marry. It all varies on the person and their personality. Some ex-gays marry in a short period of time, other's like myself, takes years. Some ex-gays just prefer to never marry. Again, it depends on the personality and how much work you're willing to put into it. Blessings; Corey
  7. If a believer commits suicide, does s/he go to heaven or hell?
  8. I thought for many years I had a demon. I went to a bunch of local churches looking for a pastor who would rebuke the demon out of me. I mean, it was many, many pastors. They all told me I did not have a demon. I sometimes am attracted to a woman. But I don't oogle over them like many men do. Strangly enough, it seems the women I am attracted to have many of the attributes of my sister. (I"m not attracted to my sister, I don't mean it that way) But they say we look for somebody like our mother, I tend to look for somebody like my sister. Blessings; Corey

    work

Purplemountain; As somebody who has come out of the gay lifestyle, I hope I can shed a little light. The reason this coworker of yours wants nothing to do with God is two fold. One, he already is convicted, he knows God doesn't approve of his lifestyle. Second, there are very many loud Christians that preach hate towards and about homosexuals. So he already has his guard up. To help him see the truth, well that's a little more difficult. I would have to agree with the other posts so far. If this coworker knows you're a Christian, he's going to be watching you. So walk the walk. The biggest thing a homosexual lacks is love. He has a huge void in his life and he fills it with the gay lifestyle. What he really needs is true love, not homosexual sex. I would like to refer you to a couple of great ministries. You will get a lot of information from them. One is Exodus International North America (they are online) and Regeneration (they also are online). Regeneration has a seperate link for their books https://regenbooks.com/ I would suggest you go to this website and review all their books. They have books written for the homosexual himself, for counselors, for parents, etc. I'm sure you can find a book that would help you in ministering to this coworker. Because I come from the gay lifestyle (11 years now), I am willing to discuss this with you, if you want to go a little further or if you have any specific questions. Please feel free to ask me. You can post your questions here or you can PM me. I hope I've been a little help to you. Blessings; Corey
  10. It sounds scarey if it happens to mutate into a human virus. But what if it turns out to be like the Swine Flu of the 70's. I can remember getting vacinated at school. I think the media is playing this up way too much. Blessings; Corey
  11. I don't consider myself gay or straight. I consider myself an "Overcomer". I learned this from Dr Consiglio. I still struggle with same sex attraction. This in itself is not sin, but it's what I do with it that can become sin. Like lusting, dwelling on a good looking man, etc. I am not married "yet" but I would like to be. I left the gay lifestyle 11 years ago. These 11 years have not been easy, but God never said life would be easy. However, He does promise a way out of temptation. Blessings; Corey
  12. Is anyone else here a Spurgeon fan? I am hooked on him. I have read 100's of his sermons. I have also read the three books on "The Treasury of David" this series is all Spurgeon's expositories of the Psalms. What a great read, what great wisdom. I also am on a mailing list from a ministry in Canada. I get a sermon a month in the mail. I just can't get enough of his sermons. I wish I could find such a preacher. I would move in a heartbeat to join his church!! Blessings; Corey
  13. Yes, I would say that a good number of homosexuals were molested. But molestation alone doesn't usually cause homosexuality. It's much deeper than that. I was molested as a child, you could say I was raped. Molested by both genders, so it's not a gender specific thing. For me, I know it was a combination of things, molestation, absent father, abusive mother, abusive shoolmates, etc. You want to be like the boys that abused you. You envy them, their maleness. This envy turns to lust when you reach puberty. You then find yourself fantisising about them. You want to be like them so much and you hate yourself so much. But the fantasies don't go away. The lust takes over and you soon start to realize you're "gay" because you're attracted to other boys. Sometimes you hide these feelings, even from yourself. You begin to live a "lie" {satan's lie}. My first suicide attempt was at the age of 17, when I couldn't deny it anymore that I was gay. You start to explore with other boys {this does not make them gay}. Then one day, usually late teens early twenties, you make the decision that you're going to live the way God made you {Gay}. Once you begin having sex with other men, this cements the idea that you're gay. And you know you didn't choose it so God must have made you this way {another lie of satan}. THe gay lifestyle, the love and the sex are so powerful you get sucked into it. The sex is the ultimate. Nothing in the world could be better {another lie of satan}. It's a high like no drug can give you. And so, you're hooked. Some gays want a steady partner {gay marriage}, but most gays are not faithful. The sex is so powerful you just have to keep going from one man to the next. I'd say I was a male whore, only had one or two somewhat long relationships, but mostly it was one night stands. I hope I'm not saying more than I should. But if this leads to more discussion, that'll be great. Blessings; Corey
  14. Dear Artsylady; Yes, I did seek out help. I went to Dr. William Consiglio for about a year. He has a ministry called HOPE Ministries. There was a local support group that he frequently came to and talked with us. His book is out of print but is accessable through Amazon.com under the "Used Books". His book is called "Homosexual No More". It is geared for counselors and it explains what homosexuality is, the causes and effects. If you wanted a brand new copy you could try https://regenbooks.com/ they say on their website that the book is back in print, though I can't guarantee that. As for organizations, I can only think of two: Regeneration (they have a website) and Exodus International North America (they also have a website). IF you go to regenbooks.com, you will find a plethera of books on this topic. I have read a good many of them. They are all very good. They have books for the homosexual himself, for counselors, for wives, for parents, etc. As I said in one of my posts, the best way to reach somebody involved in the homosexual lifestyle is to learn about it first. I am more than happy to answer any of your (or anybody else's) questions, if I can. I don't want to come across harsh with my answers, I only want to shed some light on the topic. Coming out of the lifestyle and knowing what I know, it's just my goal to educate especially when I read ignorance. They say "Ignorance is Bliss" but I say "Knowledge is Power". Blessings; Corey

    Jesus Wept

No one answered the second question. I would say yes, otherwise Lazarous is still walking around some where on the Earth. Well, I think what I meant was, was that his resurrection and he was just taken up to heaven like Enoch.
  16. Well, as a guy, I don't know if I can give you the kind of answers you're looking for. But my sister had an abortion. She justified it by telling herself, and the rest of us, that it wasn't a baby but a fetus. I also know that she lived to regret it. There were many times she would be so depressed and cry over what she did. She would often sit and wonder, would it have been a boy or a girl, what would s/he have looked like. What would s/he have grown up to become. Etc. corey
  17. Yes, I too believe that our relationship with Israel is God ordained. Corey
  18. My guess is there will be animals in heaven. When Jesus returns he'll be riding a white horse and all the saints behind him will be on white horses. Also, what about when the bible says the lamb will lie down with the lion. That surely isn't going to happen here on earth. Anyway, I don't know if the bible is specific on it, but I sure hope animals will be there. I can't wait to be reunited with my dogs!!!
  19. Mark; I do think it matters if one is born gay or becomes gay. Because then it takes the sin away from homosexuality. It is clearly in Scripture that it's wrong, the act is an abomination. To tell you the truth, for myself it wasn't the references in the New Testament that convicted me. Why? Because the word homosexual wasn't around until the 1800's. But what really convicted me was in the old testament law. God forbids a man to lay with another man; Leviticus 18:22. It's as plane as the nose on my face. Once this scripture got hold of me I was torn asunder. Finally, I had to make the choice-who was I going to follow God or the lies of homosexuality. I hate the fact that this "sin" has become so politicized. I live in Massachusetts and it is legal for homosexuals to get married. There is a petition going around so we can get it on the ballet and let the people decide. The church needs to educate itself on homosexuality. It's not just about repenting. It's about healing. Homosexuals are desperate beings. They need prayer, understanding & love. Homosexuality offers so much love, false as it may be, that it's very hard to come out of it. Blessings; Corey
  20. Betty; You are so naive about this topic. Recruiting & seducing people are not going to "Make Them Gay". Rock Hudsen & Ellen may have been seduced, but they were already gay. If they were not gay, they would have been repulsed by the seducer. Imagine yourself in that situation, would you then turn gay? No way. Please do me a favor and read up on the topic. At this link there are many good books to read. I would suggest "Homosexual No More" Because Dr Consiglio devotes the book towards counselors. He has counseled hundreds if not thousands of gays, myself included. His knowledge is first hand experience. You will do good to educate yourself. https://regenbooks.com/ If you have specific questions, please feel free to ask me. I'll do my best to give you an answer. But honestly, you're posts show that you are very naive in this matter. Blessings; Corey
  21. FACT --MOST pedifiles are straight, not gay. As someone who struggles in this area, I find that there are a lot of misconceptions about homosexuals in this thread. I wish folks would KNOW what they are talking about BEFORE speaking, or in this case posting. I have found that Christians are the most cruel and most judgemental group towards homosexuality. If you want a good understanding why gays are gay, I highly recommend the book "Homosexual No More" written by Dr. William Consiglio. Dr. Consiglio counseled me several years back. He knows his stuff. And for the church to reach the homosexual community, which they should, they need to be correctly informed. The reason it's so hard to witness to a gay person is all the preconceived notions and the gay man or woman becomes defensive. Understanding homosexuality is key. As for myself, I've been a Christian for 25 years. I struggled to reconcile both and couldn't. It came to a point I had to chose one lifestyle or the other. Leaving the gay community is extremely hard. Leaving the gay lifestyle is very hard. I can assure you that I do not believe one is "born gay" but on the other hand one does not "choose" to be gay. How stupid would that be when society and the church shun gays. It's very difficult to live the gay lifestyle. But now society is making it easier. I was never "out" so close friends & family have no idea of my struggle. Homosexuality is very complex, there are many reasons why somebody becomes gay. It generally starts before puberty, when the youngster starts realizing he's different. It gets reinforced by parents, family, friends, schoolmates, etc. There is a huge void in the homosexual and because he is "attracted" to the same sex, eventually, after puberty when his sex drive awakens, he starts fantasing about men, men he finds attractive. As he grows older these fantasies become reality. He starts to explore. Once he has his first sexual encounter it cements the idea in his head that he is "gay" or "homosexual". Thus begins the downward spiral. The closeness with another man and the sex are so satisfying, it's a high. And the longer he lives the gay lifestyle, the harder it is to convince him that it's wrong. Because he is filling the void with sex, a very powerful tool that satan uses. I believe there is full recovery from homosexuality, but it takes years. It takes help. It takes a person from the same sex to show the homosexual that he can have a loving relationship with another man without the sex. It takes a man who is strong, who is loving, who is grounded in the Word, and best if he's married. The homosexual needs to "see" a real relationship at work (the married man I just spoke of). Both the husband & wife need to show the homosexual that they love him unconditionally. But he needs to have the confidence of the man "sponsering" him. It has been 11 years since I left the gay lifestyle and chose to follow Christ with all my being. So please, no hate mail.

    Jesus Wept

How come Jesus wept over the death of His friend Lazarus when He knew He would raise him from the dead? Also, did Lazarus die a second time? Thx; Corey
  23. I'm very new here! How do I know, when there's a topic, when the last post was made? I was following a thread from the beginning and then realized I was reading a post from Dec. I wanted to post a response, but it seems the topic is dead. Also, I noticed a lot of folks quote from the post they are responding to. How does one quote? I'm sure as I look around I'll find other questions. Thanks for your help. Blessings; corey
