  1. We also believe that communion is a symbolic way that we use to remember the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us sinners. We do not believe that the bread and wine is the actual body and blood of Christ, but we use them as symbols of our faith in Christ
  2. This is the exact reason there are so many denominational splits in the Church today.
  3. Doesn't the Bible say to not judge anyone concerning days of worship? Don't we worship on Sunday because of the resurrection? Many Christians believe that the reason they worship on Sunday instead of Saturday is because of the resurrection. Worshiping on Sunday to honor the resurrection has nothing to do with Honoring the Sabbath though. They are 2 separate days and 2 separate reasons. Honoring the Sabbath has nothing at all to do with the resurrection. They just do not realize that the Sabbath was actually changed by the Roman Catholic church, and it was NOT changed because of the resurrection, it was changed because in their opinion, Sunday was easier to do for them than Saturday was. It fit THEIR schedule better. They were more interested in their schedule than in God's. Today many Christians have tried to justify the reason they do not honor the Sabbath is because of the resurrection.
  4. Mr. SE, I completely agree. The Roman Catholic church is now becoming more openly accepting of the Protestant churches and are now, under direction from Rome, working with the Protestant churches in many concerns including the homeless conditions here in Hawaii. This is NOT by chance, it is exactly as you were stating, the pope wants the churches back together but I do not feel that it is for a godly purpose. Through my studies of Revelation and the "end times" I have come to firmly believe that the Antichrist will come out of the Roman Catholic church, I do not believe, as many do, that the pope will be the Antichrist, but he will be envolved in some way with the church of Rome. He will not be able to effectively do this until the churches are working closer together, overlooking each others "faults" as the pope has called them. For the leaders of the world to trust the Antichrist as he ascends into his powerful position he will need the support of more than just one church. If the churches continue the ecumenical movement this could give way to this happening. A few of the "Protestant" churches are now back in communion with Rome. A denomination that I was previously a member of was approached with this a few years ago and they firmly turned them down. They wanted to "forgive the transgressions which caused the separation of the churches". The pope seems to be really interested in reuniting the churches all of the sudden. A lot of things are coming together which all must be fulfilled before Armageddon. We must be very careful with this philosophy of
  5. I was raised as a Roman Catholic, but as I got older I started questioning the teachings of the Roman Catholic church on numerous issues including Mary, their attempting to change the ten commandments in the "Catholic Bible" the fact that we are to call the priest "Father" when the Bible clearly states not to call anyone on Earth your father ---Matthew 23: 9 "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." I stopped attending the Roman Catholic church and started attending a Southern Baptist church with friends from my high school. as well as Lutheran, Pentecostal, Methodist and Non-Denominational churches over the next few years. Every one of the denominations out there today was in one way or another a break off from the Roman Catholic church. As I studied each churches beliefs and teachings I came to the final conclusion that each of the denominations have some parts of their core beliefs and teachings that are correct according to the Bible, but over the years they have also added in their own teachings which are not Biblically correct. This is generally where the denominations differ from each other. In many of the denominations it was the "secondary issues" which caused the differences, but in a few it was the "primary issues" which should be the same in any Christian church. Over the years in my studies of the different denominations I have always wondered why others have not wanted to take their churches back to the Biblical teachings and drop the teachings of man which have crept into their churches, mainly over the past thousand years or so. Including the practice of honoring Sunday as the Sabbath Day, which the Roman Catholic church changed to better fit their schedule over 1,000 years before the first Protestant church was formed. I have included below some quotes from the Roman Catholic church which support the fact that they took it upon themselves to change the Sabbath Day from Sunday to Saturday.
  6. Before I can give any advise I would need to know if both you and your husband are Christians? The reason I ask is we perform our counseling differently if both parties are not Christians versus if they are.
  7. Secular teaching and theological teaching are two different things. God never said that a woman could not teach in school, but he clearly stated that women are not to teach in the Church. Women were never meant to be the priests of the Church. Throughout the entire Bible there is not a single mention of a female being ordained as a priest. Did God suddenly change His mind 2,000 years later? I
  8. God will use you no matter where you are. If you choose to serve God where you are now, God will use you there. If you choose to return to your hometown, God will use you there. Just like marriages, many people mistakenly believe that God brings two people together. This is not true. We have free will, we are free to make our own choices and when we ask God to bless those choices and decisions, He does. We choose who we will marry, and when we ask God to bless the marriage He does. If you choose to go back to your hometown and ask God to bless that decision and to use your life for His will in your hometown He will bless you and your decision and use you there. One of the ways that Satan uses to attack believers is to attack their marriage and relationships within their families. All Christians go through trials which will test their faith. A Christian must remain vigilant and always aware of these attacks so that they do not cause the Christian to loose faith. God does not cause a spirit of confusion, this is caused by satanic spirits tempting your faith. Remain vigilant and Stand for God.
  9. One reason that certain churches are now allowing women to enter into the ministry is because the men have over the years chosen to take a back seat and have not taken a stand for what is right. The churches have not had a choice other than to allow women to enter into the ministry because the men were not willing or able to fill the position. This by no means makes it right, but the churches have had to do what they had to do to survive. Gods Church was not meant to be this way. The men of the Church were ordained to be the priests and leaders and teachers of the Church body. The Church must return to the way God intended for it to be. The men of the church must become accountable and take back their authority in the Church. The men of the Church have sat back long enough, it is time for them to stand up and perform the work that God intended for them to do. The churches need to become more involved with men's ministries that will teach the young men of our churches how to become men of God. Too many of our young men come from broken homes where they did not have a male figure in their homes to learn from. If the churches will focus on the young and adequately train and prepare them to be men of God, they can then become the priests, leaders and teachers of the Church once again. Only then can the women of the churches once again go back to their intended rolls in the Church.

    Blasphemy

The only sin that can not be forgiven is "Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit". Basically this is the hardening of your heart against the Holy Spirit. As long as you do not harden your heart against the Holy Spirit and ignore the Holy Spirits presence in the Holy Trinity and guidance in your life you have nothing to be concerned about. Many people go through times of depression in their lives at which time Satan can enter into our thoughts and place doubts there, even though they have a solid foundation in their faith. These temptations are common and everyone goes through them from time to time. The important thing is that you recognize them as false beliefs and turn away from them. This is a very important time for you to pray earnestly for God to give you the strength to overcome these temptations. Remember God will not allow Satan to tempt you beyond what you can handle. Also when you pray, pray as Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6: 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Ask that you not be lead into temptation, and that God would keep temptation from you and will deliver you out of the reach of Satan where he can not tempt you. Remember, Satan does not have any control over you unless you allow him to have it. Stand on your faith and rebuke Satan and rejoice in your relationship with the Lord.
