  1. SoulGrind, may God bless you more and more as you live your christian life with humility. The bible says, God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. May your fine example bring many into the kingdom of God. And may your humility be a reminder for us as christians to be watchful of what we say and do...we all learn together. Keep up your good attitude. The Lord will bless you many hundreds and thousands folds....
  2. Right Treasured, as you have discussed about that particular verse, I guess the key wasn't the size of faith, it's where your faith lies.... And in this case, your faith is in God.... and He is our solid foundation.
  3. Hebrew 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." Romans 10:17 "So faith comes from hearing and hearing the word of Christ." Hi treasured, we must remember that as christians we don't just exercise faith... You can exercise as much faith as you can, but if you do not understand and know the object of your faith, it comes to nothing. We as children of God needs to know why Jesus is the object of our faith. Just like when you get to know a new friend, you can't simply trust the person fully until you get along and know this person for a certain period of time. You need to put in time and effort to get to know this friend so that you will know and be closer to him/her. Like wise with God. The initial step of our conversion, we take the little faith we have to trust in HIM. However, we are yet to discover more about HIM and His truth, whether it holds water. So we need time to get to know HIM. And how do we know HIM? by talking to HIM and by reading His word (refer Roman 10:17). Our faith increases not just simply on the basis of blind faith. It increases because we read about HIM and then we put to exercise what we have read and believed. And as we do so, we exercise our faith in HIM (Hebrew 11:6). It's just like exercising our muscle. The more we exercise, the more it grows. Therefore, it is not so much of how much faith you have persay, but who you place you faith in. In this case, it is God whom you placed your faith in. No matter how small your faith is, it does not change His answer to Your prayers. But you need to seek HIM first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). God is not a vending machine. He doesnt' say "Yes" to all our prayers. However, that does not mean He is not answering or that we do not have enough faith. We need to discern the will of God in everything we ask. I pray that God will give you more insights to His word as you seek HIM with all your heart. He will grant you the desire of your heart. Lord I lift up treasured to you. Please open her/his eyes to see You. Help her/him to understand your truth more and more each day. In Jesus name i pray, amen
  4. Dear Father, I thank you that by your grace we are saved and it is not of ourselves, but that of the gift of God. Likewise we give you thanks that when we go through the storms of life, it is you who sustain and held us close to you. I thank you for my fellow brother/sister here. I pray for the refreshing water of the living God to be poured on her that she/he might be refreshed and strengthened in you. Intervene in her/his situation. Let him/her just plunge into the river of grace and to diligently seek to enter that rest which you talked about in Hebrew 4. Let us strive towards that dear Lord. Whatever he/she is going through, may the peace and assurance of God accompanies her/him through this dark moments of her/his life. We give you thanks, in Jesus name, amen
  5. Be still my soul, be still my soul Cease from the labor and the toil Refreshing springs of peace await To troubled minds and hearts that ache Chorus 1 Be still my soul, God knows your way And He will guide for His name's sake Plunge in the rivers of His grace Rest in the arms of His embrace Be still my soul, be still my soul Though battles round you rage and roar One thing you need and nothing more To hear the whisper of your Lord Chorus 2 Be still my child, I know your way And I will guide for My name's sake Plunge in the rivers of My grace Rest in the arms of My embrace Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, This is a beautiful hymnal that often a time reminds me that I am not alone in the midst of my difficult situation. And that God desires for us to be still and know that He is God (Psalms 46:10). He doesn't just ask that we be still and know that He is God, but He gives assurance to us that He knows the way and promise to guide us for His name's sake. He promised that as we come to Him, He will refresh us and give us the peace that comes from above. And to take His yoke which is light and to rest in His abundance and healing grace. I pray that God's peace will enter your heart just right now, as you surrender your soul to Him and be still to know that He is God and that He knows His way. He will guide you through your valley of darkness. Blessings, Lyds
