  1. How unfortunate it is, when people purely and truly want to help, but are rejected in a disheartening manner. But that's fine, you are entitled to your opinions. You may think that it is wrong for me to be here on worthy, offering additional help, support and fellowship via my site, to people who I think would benefit from it and who others could learn from. However I am not interested in gaining respect from man, but only to serve God. I have created the website purely out of love for God and it has been by His direction! I came to worthy also because of His direction and I am well aware I will face many people like yourself over the months to come, who dislike the way in which I am trying to do something positive in the name of Jesus. I ask you - how am I to make effective my own methods of service and fellowship effective if I don't let everyone know about them? Despite discouragement it is worth it, for I am seeing good things coming from my attempts to serve, however misguided you may think it is. And I will continue to do so! It may be so that I will have to go elsewhere to find true joy and encouragement for my efforts, just as Jesus moved on from the places which didn't welcome Him. But I have faith something positive will arise from my time on this site.
  2. Pray, If you really love God you will want His opinion. When you pray, listen also. Dont simply pray and call it a day. Ask questions, plead for answers there and then. Recently I prayed and aksed God questions - but then instead of ranting on about something else I listened. And it so happens that among other things God told me to change my mind about a particular task I would do today and get on with something far more productive. Otherwise I would never have done it. The point is God is really there, right now, right beside you! Hard for our minds to comprehend but its true. Turn to Him - and listen to what He says to you, If you are filled with the spirit you have the power to discern His will. Daniel
  3. I've been having the same problem, might be the system.
  4. Hey Lily, Im glad to hear that you are getting through what you have suffered, I am a young Christian from the UK, and I have found talking about problems and seeking help really clears things up in your mind, especially when you seek help from the LORD Jesus. I think sharing faith and getting help is so important that I have started a website with forum for that purpose. Please come and join us, its a site for everyone in a literal sense where you can add your own testimonies, prayer requests, views etc etc. Here is the site: http://www.themeaningoflife.bravehost.com - the fantastic people who have joined me on the site are a very friendly, encouraging and worthwhile bunch. Hope you feel like joining in and any of your friends - that goes for everyone else aswel. I am just so glad God has enabled me to help others and myself through this medium and I honestly believe He is leading me to people like yourself so that we can share and grow together in a personal, loving, online environment. Daniel
  5. Well said, We must never forget the significance of the cross. For if we truly understand it and remember it in these situations, we should realise that being unforgiving is pure wickedness. Paying no attention to the fact that we are fogiven everyday and showing unwillingness to give anything back to such a loving LORD, by following His example. We cant love God if we dont love each other, we cant love each other if we wont forgive.
  6. Hi Kooltat, I feel for you as your feeling that God has turned away from you must be very difficult to bear on its own, besides struggling along. But something I have learned is that God doesnt turn His back on us, He loves us all no matter what we have done, are doing or will do. Which leaves only the option that we have turned away from God. It may not be intentional in your case but getting caught up in the flesh can cover our ears to the leading of the Holy Spirit. But the Holy Spirit will never leave us. We have to continually seek its guidance, watching and praying. I have a Christian website with a nice welcoming forum; http://www.themeaningoflife.bravehost.com - if you want to chat more to me or through my forum feel free - its a nice place to come together in the name of our Saviour. Hope you find the path that will lead you back into the arms of the LORD Jesus Christ. Daniel
  7. Sounds really good! There isnt much outside activity to do with my local church. Maybe its time to get something started! Its a case of getting support and interest I suppose, I pray for more youth to come into the church as we are few in number.
  8. Thanks for the ideas Iryssa and Blessed Lady, I've been looking into missionary organisations, but not much luck at the moment. Working alongside people developing things like 'The Hunger Site' would be pretty good. How did your friend get into it Iryssa? Anyone I could contact? Thanks. Hi to you Gene. Its interesting we both have the same problem, what job were you doing before? I do agree with you that the Lord will choose our paths accordingly, however to get onto that path we have to give full control of our lives to the Holy Spirit, becasue its only through the Holy Spirit that we can serve God effectively at all!
  9. I'm looking for a new job, as I am out of work at present. However as I purely want to live for Christ and promote his ways, I have no enthusiam in looking for and getting a regular job, I would like to spend all my time on worthy causes. Has anyone any knowledge of possible ways to get directly into jobs that involve working for Christ? Or any ideas? Plus anyone that feels the same way I would be interested to hear from you! Thanks Daniel
  10. Im pleased to see that you have kept the enthusiam. I too am frustrated by the lack of encouragement and help in providing ways of witnessing for God in a productive manner! I am young, and have been looking into such things as missionary work. I want to do more for God and dedicate my time to Him. But I think that God will make it clear when He is calling me to do something. And only then will that be the right path for me! So i think its a case of studying, learning and becoming closer to God until I become clear on what action to take!
  11. Thank you Mr SE, I would be interested to take a look at your topical bible studies, do you use the forum for this? I have a couple of friends who street preach in the nearby town, I agree that it helps you to grow in faith. I know a time will come when many more people will be doing so as the prophecies are fullfilled, however I do agree that effective evangelism does come from more personal relationships giving people the chance to see you in action as it were, and wanting to change because of it. I cant help think that street preaching isnt as effective as we would like, as the majority dont listen and those that want to listen dont want to be seen doing so, meaning only a select few are drawn in, most of which are christians already. Its great character building but do you not think there are better ways to spread the word? Any other ideas?
  12. Firstly Iryssa, thank-you for at least expressing your comments. I see you are a Veteran on this site, so you know more about the system here than me. However there are a number of things that a veteran lacks which a newcomer brings. I hope you dont think that because im new, and I am promoting a new way to share faith and spread the word, (which you call 'advertising'), that i shouldn't be approached or involved here! Im interested, are you a christian? Because to be honest I would have expected more enthusiastic comments, and in regard to my questions, i.e. if you are a christian do you not believe we should be seeking new ways to serve God? You say you went to someone elses site which was against our saviour, promoting false Gods. But why are you now cautious? The worst thing that could happen by you or anyone visiting my site is for you to not like it, in which case you could close the page. All taking less than a minute! Why not keep an open mind in such important matters? Anyway my imediate impression is that people/christians here, are set in thier ways and are not so much interested in change! I hope to be proved wrong. As christians we need to implement continual improvement, requiring us to face and overcome challenges as i am doing now, before we can even think about sharing in the rewards God promises. Regardless of my 'new ministery', I would really like to hear from those who want to grow as christians like myself and take action towards it! I need to learn as much as the next man! Would be glad to hear from you on the subject Iryssa.
  13. For what ever reason i see that there is little enthusiasm so far to help me with the net project! So instead i ask if you would at least share your thoughts with me as to whether you think its a good idea trying to reach out via the internet with so much already out there! Do you have any pointers that may help in spreading the word to those who are still un-aware or who havnt taken the time to think about it clearly? Also are there other things you have taken upon yourself to do as a Christian to serve God daily?
  14. Hi all! I am new to this particular website! However i would hope that my time here will be useful! After being baptised and spending a lot of time wondering what it was i could do for God, i.e. nothing extreme, but something routine that i could stick and that God would be pleased about, God gave me the answer one night, i was siply praying and each question seemed to answer itself almost instantly - from this i have recently started to create a website to give help to those who havent yet found God and for all of us that have to connect, share views and make a difference with the knowledge that God has given us! As a Christian i believe each one of us should find a way to serve God, not being a lazy Christian as it were, because thats not going to impress, and without action we can easily forget about the immense God that created us and loves us enough to offer the rewards he has! So anyway i am continually trying my best on my part to reach people via this method and to get to know others, however the only way it is going to work is first with the help of other christians. Now i ask each and every one of you out there to visit the website and get involved with this as i REALLY think that God is behind it and will bless us for it, i have nothing to gain from it, there is no money to be gained or rewards to be earned except those from God in heaven! Remember that the end will come when the Word of God reaches all corners of the earth! Its right in the scriptures. Lets each do our part, i for one cannot wait for Jesus to return, please help! I have a forum started up, and you can contact me via the site. If you could start your own threads on the forum and contact me with any ideas or suggestions for the site i would appreciate it so much! the site is: http://www.themeaningoflife.bravehost.com If you dont like the way it looks at the moment, then please tell me what you think would work better. I look forward to hearing from you all, either here or through the site, Thanks Daniel
