I actually try hard to hear views on alot of different subjects but I am not wilfully ignorant. With regard to evolution, even before I became a Follower of Christ Jesus, I thought the idea of mankind evolving from apes was so laughable. I even had an argument with my year 9 science teacher on that exact subject, at age 15. Even now, as an adult who has been around and heard alot, I refuse to accept evolution as fact simply because I don't believe what I've heard so far. Without all the scientific jargon, it's just plain stupid.....LNJ Hi LNJ, If you find evolution laughable, can you imagine how skeptics view the concept of 950-year-old people, talking snakes and donkeys, a "perfect" God that "repents" that he made man, Noah's Ark, with, minimally, the problem of feeding all the animals for 40 days, and numerous other illogicalities put forth in the Bible. How does that make sense to you but evolution doesn't? We have God , He connects all the dots, does the impossible possible, and it makes sense. Evolution meanwhile, a really fairly dumb and retarded theory, too much missings pieces, just a bunch of theories, they keep contradicting themself each time they create a new theory. Eventually, I think there might be a time, when they will finally conclude evolution is a dumb and retarded theory, which we christians knew from beginning, and they will start up with a new and even dumber theory, who knows, hey, maybe we decended from dolphins, or perphaps from dogs, no no, we eat meat, maybe we decend from tigers. And so on.

Agree, I don't believe Christmas is a holiday for the glory of God, I forgot what verse is in The Bible where I read something about christmas, but christmas definately isn't the birthdate of God.

Look first of all, I don't recall knowing of this case, but I get this guy was a very bad person so, but still here's something you should know. There are some imposters in churches, some times even ministers and such may be just impostors. For varius reason . If the man did repent honestly of his sins, chances are He wouldn't still do that. God changes people, while we still sin, not to this levels. I don't know this guy's heart and soul, only Jesus knows it. Hard fact but true, you, in spiritual terms concerning God, are no better then that guy, maybe you haven't sinned, but God still sees sin, and He consider any sin no worse then the other. All sins are equal to God's eyes. God cleaned us of all sin, there is however the one sin that is the only one left in God's term, and that is rejecting Him.( note this is a complicated answer, I'll try to post on in a few days explaining this) Do not get offenden by this post, I am not posting this because I want to battle you or insult you, it's because it's the true and I believe that is what you are looking for, right? Ok ok ok, first of, to some atheist, stop assuming that all of us believe in a 6,000 year old earth, not all of us think of it in that way. I personally still have mixed thoughs about the years old of the earth, but I don't find it relevant, guess what, I won't balance or decide my belief on how old this earth is. While I believe that Dinousars did walk with Humans, remember God gave man authority over every animal in this world. Which may have changed after Man sinned. It still may have being the Lapse between Gen 1.1 and Gen 1.2 God knows, I trust Him, He has putten in The Bible what I need to know, enought that I can blame the guilt on myself if I didn't chose Him, I know I would only have myself to blame, He gaved us what we need to know, get over it. Whatever you come up saying man walked with dinosours or that was impossible or whatever, you have no point since God knew this was not as important for us to know. I honestly know a lot of islam, so defining it briefly isn't possible for me. But I can see the goverments under Islam with hate in their minds and eyes, I can see what they have grown to believe, I can see the hate towars the Jews, I can what they believe in, enough that I cry for them and how they have been tricked, will post more insight later on. You simply don't understand the world don't you, something perfect is not something robotized just to do one thing, God's plan is so perfect , Free will is the base of perfection, if everything was perfect, then it would be imperfect due to the no choice at all or the no variable tot his world. The creation was made for Him, it is for His glory, not for us Mankind, for you with your close minded mind this is imperfect world, for God the earth was created perfect, for it wa perfect coming from Perfect and The Creator. Only God is perfect. Besides dunno if you don't know but God kind of made us perfect in His creation start, but sin made us imperfect, or less then perfect. Sin on earth made earth imperfect.

Err you got a bad mistake there, God won't send an infant to hell, or a baby, or a young kid, at that age you truely haven't gotten the concept of good and evil, so God will not send infants or young children to hell, funny how you can quote stuff from The Bible, without reading the full story and the reasong for some happenings, yet you still can't quote "The kingdom of the is of the children" Not quoted precisely, can't remember exact verse to go and look it up . I understand your point. Do you know how I know it's God and not me? Let me give you an example. As a young man, I was prideful, arrogant and knew it all. I was an engineer officer in the United States Army and had NO tolerance for criminal behavior. "Lock them up! Hang them high!" was my position when it came to criminals. Long story short, I got out of the Army in 1984 and started my career in the civilian world. Some years later, I came to believe God and accept HIS free gift of Grace. Now the fun began. I was slowly transformed but yet, I still held my position regarding inmates. Then in 1999, a fella from my church got caught with drugs and was sentenced to 2 years in jail. The Methodist Church here had a program then where they brought a handful of inmates over to their fellowship hall every other Sunday and fed them. I decided to go one Sunday and visit my buddy. One thing led to another and one door opened after another and before I knew it, I was in the jail every Monday night BY MYSELF teaching and ministering to 60 or so inmates! Me, the guy who would NEVER have had anything to do with these men. What changed? I did. How did I change? God. I experienced God. Was I really by myself? NO..I had God with me. Now I have another fella that helps out as well as my sons when they can. I can honestly say that I do NOT always look forward to Monday nights, especially after a long hard day at the office, BUT I have never left the jail without feeling energized. I have worked with and hugged addicts, thieves, pedophiles, and even men who have killed. I am very honest with the men and make sure they know...it ain't me but is God who sends me. What was God thinking? Sending me to minister to inmates????? I figured it out though. God did it for me as well as them. It was part of my learning process and growth. He taught me how to have compassion for the sinner without accepting or condoning their sin. So how do we know it is God? Open doors that sometimes leads us to a place that we do NOT want to go. Beautiful story, my 55 year old father does the same aswell, goes every wednesday, and aswell killers ,addicts and thiefs hug him and even protect him from the other inmates . But how God changed you is pretty impresive . Emerald Girl, I haven't read all the thread, but I see your last 2 or 3 post like sincere and polite and I appreciate that . I see you lost a child, honestly I am very sorry with all my heart. And I really can't imagine that pain and suffering it bringed. One thing though I can assure you, God doesn't give sickness to people, God is a God of love rather then of pain and suffering. I honestly don't really know why your son or daughter died, I don't know. But it wasn't God that wanted her to die, or to have an illness. I still though can say, that God knows why it happened or for what, but I can assure you it wasn't Him that killed your kid. In regards to God and His plan and Will. It's God's will that we don't perish , but have ever lasting life. God's plan? Same as His will but with other thing's to keep in mind: How people will react to God. How people will relate to God. How people will react to the World. How people will relate to the World. How people will Choose, in what way they will relate to God and to the world. (I refer to the world as in all the things in it, including all religions, events example natural disasters, believes, what we do in life, to name a few.) Thanks a lot. I haven't been able to do this yet...I have to look for the Operating System CD. Is there another way to reload the software without the CD? I don't trust system restore of windows, since if it's because of a virus you want system restore, most virus copy themself to the backup in system restore. I recommend backing up your important while and completely resetting pc, reinstalling windows XP . Use a windows Xp CD or a PC manufacters sysrem Reset cd.

First of all what I posted were lists of fossils someone else asked for, second the Bible is not a scientific paper and doesn't even meet the standards to be called a historical account. So no, the two things do not compare. Yes, one of the links I posted contained an argument for transitional fossils but what I was pointing was the list of fossils on that same page, as it is obvious from the context. You can see in the posts I made that my arguments are not copy-pasted from anything. Last point: this forum is called "defending the faith" so you should expect people to come here to challenge you; however, no useful discussion can come from copy-pasting the Bible. I was looking forward to this thread since Obsy said he was going to support the assertions he made in another thread with something substantial. When I read this, however, I got things I already read three or four times in the original book plus a slap in the face at the end of the post. Calling people black-souled and things like that only exposes fear and hate in the OP. It isn't conductive to anything good. It also could mislead people in thinking that Christianity is a hate religion when it is obvious to anyone who has practiced it for any amount of time that the central message is about love/respect. Maybe things like this one are the reason why people argue against you. Nobody wants to be portrayed as a black-souled wicked murderer just because he doesn't follow your religion. I am really shocked by this kind of outbursts, whoever reads this will think that Christianity is ultimately a religion based on hate that makes you fear everyone who's different. Sex sells and it seems that is all that is cared about when people make tv shows/movies. I get disturbed when I am watching a movie and all of a sudden WHAM, naked sex scenes that really have nothing to do with the movie. Agree with you. Movies with no real good story lines, in which some of the characters have sex, the movie will sell and be a hit even though it has a dumb movie plot.

I imagine God with the body of a normal Jew, but with the spirit and soul of God powerful . What He looks like I don't care, I will see him when we go to heaven or when the rapture comes, and I am sure, He is perfect and will recieve us with the Great Love that He promised for us .

I went back and I see that I answered properly to your claims in post #82. Please point out the flaws in what I said or show me exactly what claims I didn't answer to. For what I can see you shut up right when I asked you to provide evidence for 500 guys seeing Jesus rise from the dead, which doesn't mean I'm ignoring you but rather means - or seems to - that you have none. In the first part of the post instead I addressed for the second time your claim about science being based on circular logic, which is a claim you base on the following word game: "science relies on the scientific method so it's circular logic - science relies on science, see? See?". I explained why that isn't true but instead of showing me why I'm wrong you repeated that word game, so I repeated why it doesn't have any meaning, in post #82, for the second time - that time being as clear as I can be. Your silence obviously means that you don't know how to show the flaws in my reasoning, which is indeed very simple: the scientific method is what we use to go from evidence to the scientific theories. One thing to remember, you have control over it . The TV may also be used to watch christian things, you have control over, it . V-Chip is a good alternative that is inployed in some of the newest tv's and some 3 year old tvs . Also when I was in mexico for months, even though I had TV and cable, I learned that TV isn't neccesary to live with, as so as computer when my computer was bad for 3 months, and I spent 10 hours a day in computer, and didn't miss it at all, and now I only spend some 3 hours a day in PC and while I still have TV on most day day, I don't watch much and rather just hear .
