I think the post about allowing the children to choose to be immunized once they are old enough to choose, is hog-wash. Do we not take them to church before they can choose for themselves, simply because it's good for them? Do we not insist that they eat vegetables and fruit, even when they havent' chosen that for themselves? Do we not put them to bed at night before they would choose it for themselves? I'm not for or against immunization, each to their own on this one, I figure. However, I really dont' agree that we leave the decision until they can make it for themselves. You wouldn't let them start brushing their teeth when they are old enough to choose that for themselves. Clear Lisa

i believe we are saved by grace. We're saved by what Jesus did, not by anything we did or could ever do. Grace by works just doewn't cut it. Yes, as believers we do things to follow God's laws, but not because we have to. In the end the only answer is that God and only God would know the condition of Johnny's heart, and that is what matters. God is the judge, not us.

I just want to tell you that God has been speaking (or maybe shouting) this very topic into my life for the last few months. We've just built a new church building and I'm seeing very clearly the types of behaviours you speak of. I didn't see it, or maybe I'm naive enough to think it didn't exist in our old building. It's hard for anyone to look down their nose when their face is turned to God. I try hard to remember that. I've been so blessed by your posting, you can't even imagine. If anyone feels so enclined, I'll ask for prayer for my congregation, so we may further God's work, and not divide over the work of a building. Please and thank you. Clear Lisa
