So Floating Axe my point from verse 6 is that if we stick to the scriptures and do not exceed the authority we have to proclaim Christ then we shall not get involved in affairs that will make it even more difficult for people to respond to the gospel. At least we know that we are not out on a limb because we are within the confines of Scripture.

Traveler I am not saying that all those people are damned, Heaven forbid! And the Lord in His mergy is big enough to work past our errors and sins but from the perspective of Pats political decisions this would be the outcome if all agreed and followed his counsel and decisions. Perhaps you are unaware of the decisions made by Catholics and Evangelicals togather? They both agreed to not try and convert each others flocks! Pat Robertson has agreeed to this and that is a major wrong. Actually he is not alone Billy Graham is also on board that is why Catholic priests used to show up at his crusades to collect all the converted Catholics. This perhaps is another post but Pat along with Chuck Colsen have agreed to this common front with Rome. Yes I am extreme in my post and yes I must learn to write in fashon not so dramatic but there are serious stakes here and the gospel is never something that should be messed with.

ESV If indeed we sin by omition then refusing to preach and try to make disciples of the billion Catholics in the world is indeed damning them or do you believe there is some other way to heaven other than the preaching of the gopel?

indeed friend but then I wonder how many souls are in hell because of the polluted bath water? By his politics he has alienated 1billion moslems to the love of Christ and by his political agreement with Evangelicals and Catholics togather he has damned 1 billion Roman Catholics to hell by not agreeing that Protestant Missionarires should actively try to convert them. That is quite a fewpeople that he has omitted because of his strange world view. If he is called to preach the gospel then stick to the gospel. The apostle Paul said that we should learn not to go beyond what is written and we should all of us keep this as a life verse!

To add a little more, murder is a sin plain and simple, It does not matter what people thought 20 years ago. Jesus said even if hate is in our hearts we have committed murder. Jesus said turn the other cheek Pat says we need to take this guy out! What if the US administration had taken Pat seriously Just as 1 million born again US christians do who tune in daily? Pat would have had that heathen mans blood on his hands. There is rarely a show that I have ever witnessed and I am not a regular viewer where they have not had a story of someone giving them money and then God blessing them financially and increasing their buisness ( todays show included) so how can you say he is not a prosperity preacher? Because he does this milking in a more savvy way? He is from the same tree as Oral Roberts and the Copelands and the whole gang. He just serves the bad doctrine on a more palitable plate!

If some of His theology is not orthodox then he is a false teacher, supposed words of knowledge aside! I am afraid that you symbolise the problem with the church today! Sadly we accept men and women who are not orthodox and because thay are quite smart we allow them to pervert historical christianity. The number one requirement for leaders / elders in the early biblical church was that they could teach the orthodox doctrines of the church and refute those who taught something else! You did not have to be smart or cool or rich or have a successful tv program! This guy by your own account has disqualified himself from representing God's church by his being a bit unorthodox!

Pat is not a prophet and this is good for his buisness! His ratings should go up a little in the January Blahs and no one will mind if he is wrong! If he is right he will be a hero. This is the guy who called for the murder of Hugo Chavez! and the result was that born again missionaries were deported from the nation! He is not a godly man and should be rejected for His false teaching and prosperity gospel. No we do not stone people today but the Lord told us to stay away from every one who calls himself a brother and lives in sin. He has partisapated in Catholic mass in the past and said that it was one of the most meaningful spiritual experiences he has ever had. He is a supporter of Evangelicals and Catholics togather, an organisation that does not believe that Catholics should be evangelised by protestant missionaries!!! This means that he has set off limits for evangelism 50% of all in the Americas and most of South America!!!The man is obsessed with politics and selling you his vitamins so that you will live forever and not have to go to heaven! This prediction is not helpful esp with Pats escape clause that was 'In the past I've missed it!' So then what exactly was the point if not to increase hype and instill fear in the american public? These are sad days when this is the state of God's church.

This is slighty off topic but the chap who put this post on in the first place said the world may go on for another 4 billion years. I suppose to make such a statement you have to not believe the book of Genesis and the creation account for it is clear that the would is only thousands of years old and not tens of thousands or millions or billions. Sola Scriptura was the old rally and we would do well to hold true to that in these days of any thing goes!

I think that Mr Haggards fall is one of the saddest things to happen since Jimmy Swargard fell also. All of the Body of Christ needs to pray. Pray for him and pray for our selves, that the Lord would grant us grace to not fall into temptation in what ever area of weakness satan has control over us. We all need to become accountable to some other saint or we too will fall and bring shame to God and our brothers and sisters. If you think you are standing firm be careful lest you fall. At this time we need to not wag the the tongue, like a fool in self righteous judgement, but rather sing a dirge like David for a great man has fallen among us and in this we should all fear and pray for the deliverance of Christ by the power of His Holy Spirit.

I switched about a year ago from 20 yrs of reading the NIV which is a dynamic equivalent translation to the ESV ( English Standard Version) an essentially literal translation. I have not looked back. I think the esv is the most readable word for word literal translation on the market today. Some argue that the NASB is perhaps a bit more literal but it does not read well in my opinion.

The childrens bread is the ministry of healing and deliverance. This was promised under the old covenant and Jesus was talking to a woman who was not a Jew by birth. Because of the woman's faith the Lord delivered her daughter. The good news today is that the bread of the kingdom for the Church who have been grafted into the olive tree is that we are now children of the Kingdom and the New Covenant allows us to receive all the blessings of the Old plus the benefits of the New! Including the healing and deliverance from evil spirits! Ye har!!!!

Not anti Israel friend, anti murder, anti war. Evil is evil wether from the wickedness of Moslems, Jews or Christians. The God of the bible is a holy God and He will not turn a blind eye to any evil regardless of where it comes from. He will also hold us accountable for every word we utter. The whole world needs the mercy of the Holy Lord. I believe that zionist christians ought to love Israel by preaching Christ to them and praying for their salvation rather than encouraging them to kill moslems to secure their borders. The only security in life is in Christ not in the size of ones army. To be moslem friendly is a title I am honoured to carry. Jesus was a friend of sinners! lucky for you eh? hehe and me too!

Perhaps the world does not hate the jews but they hate the evil that the Jews perform while being encouraged from the side lines from so called christians who if they really knew Jesus would not be lusting for Arab blood?
