I do not hold merit to any "errors" I know that all scripture is God-breathed but I dont have time to research these, if you could explain them to me that would be great. Matt.27:46,50: "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, eli, lama sabachthani?" that is to say, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" ...Jesus, when he cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost." Luke23:46: "And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, "Father, unto thy hands I commend my spirit:" and having said thus, he gave up the ghost." John19:30: "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished:" and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost." Also: Exod. 24:9,10; Amos 9:1; Gen. 26:2; and John 14:9 God CAN be seen: "And I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my backparts." (Ex. 33:23) "And the Lord spake to Moses face to face, as a man speaketh to his friend." (Ex. 33:11) "For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." (Gen. 32:30) God CANNOT be seen: "No man hath seen God at any time." (John 1:18) "And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for there shall no man see me and live." (Ex. 33:20) "Whom no man hath seen nor can see." (1 Tim. 6:16) Thanks, Erik

So are you saying you believe that no one will be in eternal punishment? -fallen asleep through Jesus -dead in Christ shall rise first notice fallen asleep through Jesus specifically refers to those through Jesus not those who reject Jesus/ fallen asleep is commonly used to refer to those who are dead on Earth not dead as in going to hell dead IN CHRIST refers to those whose physical wordly bodies are dead but those whose name's are in the book of life (those who followed Jesus)/ it specifically denotes those who are in Christ and through Jesus for a reason, it doesnt say "all the dead" but all the dead in Christ/ and it doesnt say only "all who have fallen asleep" but those who have "fallen asleep through Jesus----think and pray about that

Thank you very much for your help! Ayin Jade I have understood hell exactly as you have so beautifully articulated, but it has been a while since I have read relevation and needed my mind refreshed so thank you. I will present this info that you all have blessed me with after I study it more and pray about it. My friend is very bright but he thinks too deep and the last three verses in first timothy describe him perfectly. Where it says that "avoid those who seek so called knowledge and in doing so have wondered from the truth" (not verbatum). He sees hell as temporary in as much that even satan will one day be in heaven again. He says that God's mercy is limitless so then it would extend to those even in hell. Also he uses "Jesus died so that ALL men might be saved." Which I know is wrong. God's mercy is limitless but we have a choice of life through Jesus or rejection of Jesus and truth leading to death. And nana the story of the rich man and lazurus was the first thing that popped into my head when this issue came up . I wish I had more time to go in more depth but between full time college and work my time is slim. But I know that the Holy Spirit guides me and will teach me what to say. Many times in other areas we have debated (he originally thought there was no afterlife at all as well), the Holy Spirit would quicken something to me that would just silence him completely and it is something I wouldn't have thought of on my own. But praise God because he humbles the wise and guides them to His truth. Thanks again for your time and prayers.

Hello to all, I have a co-worker that I talk to frequently and he believes that hell is only a temporary holding place for those who did not choose Jesus during their time on Earth. He believes that all will eventually be in heaven, and that hell is a place where people go temporarily to be punished temporarily until they ultimately turn to God and recieve repentance. I personally know that heaven and hell are eternal and that once you are in hell that is where you remain eternally and after Jesus comes for the second time satan and all who are in hell will be thrown into a lake of fire forever. Hence..weeping and gnashing of teeth. I don't have time to look up scriptures to support this stance and I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out as to finding supportive scripture that I could present to him.

Land-fish May Be the "Missing Link"

lol funny. A new species found proves nothing towards evolution. Also apparently it didnt "evolve" well enough if it is extinct. -
Do you equally accept the stories of miracles written in scriptures of other religions? If so, then how do you reconcile your varied beliefs? If not, then why not? Other religions (even those of eras long gone) also tell of miracles and power. I hope I do not come across as confrontational. I can assure you it is not my intent. I am merely opening up some points for discussion.

I don't think that you should concern yourself with names. Dispense with them, cast them in the name of Jesus and they will flee, that is all that is needed. At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow both on the Earth and under the Earth. Use the name of Jesus with authority and show satan that you are not afraid.

I am a college student and also I work full-time. All my old friends cussed, said the Lord's name in vain often, drank a lot etc. The thing you have to do is decide who you want to impress, God or the world (friends). I got into some things (ex. drinking) to try to fit in but now I regret it of course. NO ONE is perfect. But praise God for his never ending mercy and forgiveness of sins. Guilt and anxiety and worry is of satan not of God. Make a conscious decision to throw off the ways of the world and give your life to God. Will it be easy? NO! It will not be, but God is always there for you every step of the way and you have the Holy Spirit inside of you to guide you and help you and encourage you. I know what its like to struggle with sin, the only way out is to trust God and rely on His grace and power to deliver you from all of your struggles. Remember that life is short compared to an eternity in heaven. Just think about that!! Struggles and hardships are only temporary, they will all come to pass, but God is eternal and so is heaven. Guilt and "feeling bad" are from satan, ask God to forgive you and deliver you, then and then your sins are forgotten, don't bring them back up again, forget about them.

God knows the situation, give all of your worries to Him first of all. satanism allows evil into the household and person who follows satan, but God will protect her daughter. I would suggest that you pray for her and allow God to act. There is no problem too great for God to handle, the only time a Christian is defeated is when they give up. You will always have the victory in the name of Jesus, never forget that and never give up hope. Persevere and pray for understanding and guidance and wisdom about what to do. Pray in the spirit as well. Hope this helps.

Jesus is God, He is in the Father and the Father is in the son, thus the trinity. Jesus came to Earth as a man and humbled himself and cast off all of his divine qualities to live a life on Earth as a human to experience all that we experience to better relate to us, so that everything that we go through has been experienced by Him. He lived his life as a human on Earth as an ultimate example of a life devoted to God for us to model after. Also he became human to die a terrible death to atone for our sins once and for all, so now we can come God in a way that in those times only the high priests could in the Most Holy Place in the temple. By becoming human and rising from the dead, he took dominion of the Earth away from satan so that we have the victory in Christ through salvation. Also with the resurrection of Jesus, He took away the law and left us with the Holy Spirit to guide us. This can get really lenghty so I'll stop here.

To prove God one could simply turn to his son Jesus. The miracles and power to raise others (Lazurus) from death and walk on water, and turn water into wine, die and raise to life in three days, and heal others. Who else can do such things without God in the name of Jesus? Also the Bible meticulously recounts all the awesome works of God through His people. Those that want God proven to them either have a hard heart, are arrogant in their own intelligence (i.e. philosophers), or simply chose not to have faith. People do things such as bring about "inconsistencies" within the Bible to try to support why they do not believe in God. They hold their own thinking above the word of God instead of praying and letting the Holy Spirit answer their questions and disbelief.
