  1. im still young.... well 19... but

i know what you mean by complete incomplete

before i knew God i did a lot of stupid things.

Some minor drugs, i used to be into hard rock/heavy metal/ depressing things you could say.

i did these things, i knew of God but i didnt know Him, he brought me to Him though,

he had too, it was in his will. I thank Him for that now. Im a better person, thanks to Jesus.

I dont want to do those things i used to anymore. their kinda useless, once you think about them long enough.

Temporary highs. thats all life is without God, a temporary high. Unfortunately, the people who do not know Him keep on chasing these highs, even the unbelievers who posted here. no pun intended, just saying the truth.

    Im saved, thank God.

  2. wow, this is deep. I mean I can understand pokemon, but yu-gi-oh is out of hand, its just plain dark.

i thought yugi died down, i havent heard anything about him for about a year or more, its probably because i could care less for it, but this just proves that i'm wrong. Thanks for informing.

  3. God is awesome.

I had a thorn in my flesh, and this thing wasnt tiny. No, it was sticking through my heart.

One of the most painful things i have ever gone through. Praise God.

I wont go into detail what happened because i asked God to help me not to think about it and help me to forget the thorn.

I have no complaints that i went through this, it is for His glory.

God worked and built on my character and he tested my faith severly.

I did lose someone I really loved and still do love, but it is all in Gods hands and he will do what

    he has planned for Her.

Anyways, my aunt was talking to me asking me how i was doing a week ago and i told her i wasnt doing to well.

She helped me write a prayer request so the church would pray for me. God Bless her heart ( she is going to Israel...lucky).

I had a huge barrier and the only way that it was broken was by the power of prayer of many many people. I still thank God with tears in my eyes that he has showed such wonderful mercy to me. I also greatly thank everyone on worthy who prayed for me and all of my friends and everyone else i dont know, who prays for me.

I am sure God will bless you for helping me.

I cannot fully express my gratitude, even if i tried i couldnt. :):)

  4. That is enough for me to call a cult.

Fair enough if this is what makes you feel better and superior go ahead and call them a cult or sect or whatever you fancy.

Do not forget that our Lord and Saviour said:

    Matt 7

    21

  5. As I was praying last night, a thought about evolution popped into my head. If those who feel they must deny the existence of God (in order to feel better about the anarchy in their hearts, I think) insist that evolution created life, and humans were formed over billions of years from single celled organisms (I'm sure we have all seen the diagrams...an amoeba becoming a jellyfish, becoming a fish, becoming an amphibian, etc. etc.), then whay are there still amoebas?? Why are there still fish? If every creature is always changing and evolving into a more efficient form, then why aren't there only people on this earth? That certainly makes no sense.

    :whistling:

Its impossible to actually see an amoeba becoming a jellyfish, or a turtle, or an insect.

Sure we can make a diagram or make up ways that it happens but in reality we dont know how everything works.

Picture a tree, and over billions of years this tree turns into a lake!!! WHOA. what a site to behold, i would love to see that...

Evolution is logically, scientifically, morally, hypothetically, theologically and significantly impossible.

No one will ever be able to prove evolution.

If you have a head on your shoulders, dont be afraid to use it. If you dont, someone else will.

  6. No............we are influenced by our own natures, The you can not serve both God and mammon means you have to make a choice, you can't ride the fence and hope to be approved before God.

The, I have no control over my actions Satan made me do it..............is a cop out. We choose to do right or wrong, if you keep choosing wrong long enough.............the Holy Spirit leaves and that leaves you open to everything that is of the world and Satan.

    Thank you for correcting me.

  7. Actually, Those books are all written by people who are influenced by demons.

Yes, the magic in those stories are drawn from the devil.

Any proof of this or justification for it?

    Yes.

In the Bible it writes, you are either influenced by God or the devil.

You can only serve one master.

This is a very bold statement. Do you believe that C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien were "influenced by demons" while composing their works of fantasy?

I dont know enough about it but everyone is tempted by demons.

When someone is under full control, they wont realize it. Thats exactly what the devil wants to do, he wants to control your thoughts. I cannot exactly say they were influenced by demons for i cannot read anyones mind, thank God.

I have not heard the word God in any of their books, But i believe CS lewis has changed so im not sure about him.

  8. What's the deal on fantasy books/magic, though? The magic in those stories isn't drawn from the Devil, because it is set in worlds which are other to this one. So is magic the concept to be avoided in this instance, or only magic as is used on Earth and which, by Christian definition, can only come from the Devil?

Actually, Those books are all written by people who are influenced by demons.

Yes, the magic in those stories are drawn from the devil.

  9. "I know it wasn't the whole truth, but it will help them (the business deal, a friend, family member, etc.,) in the long run."

    This Sunday, (4-16-06)

I heard that half truths are even worse than lies.

When satan lied to eve, she didnt die right away. But our bodies started to decay after the original sin. Satan told her a half truth.

The Bible tells us to stop lying to each other.

    Thanks for your posts.

  10. Cyrrylia, by "This" i mean,

Suppose you are an Atheist. You are gardening, because you enjoy gardening. Suddenly, a Christian missionary comes up and tries to save you. But you are busy. You are tending to your garden. You do not want to have to go and stop. To you, they are bothering you during your hobby time.

Furthermore, they may interupt your dinner. They may interupt your favorite show. They may catch you when you are trying to shower. They can appear at inconvienent times. Thus, you are bothered. You are just trying to enjoy your time on Earth. But they keep bothering you.

Also, you may be in a train, on a plane, on the bus, ect. And the person next to your decides to interupt your quiet thinking time with the "Do you know Jesus" question.

That is how they can. I am not saying that Christians in general bother them, but that evangelising must be annoying for them.

We are trying to help you because we love you, do you know what love is?

Everything you posted about is selfishness, which leads to selflessness...

How do we keep quiet about Gods Love? How do we keep quiet and not share how wonderful He is?

Well, you see, you are trying to shut up these people whos purpose is to talk to people about God, and to tell them about His wonderful Son Jesus, who saves everyone who believes in Him.

but that evangelising must be annoying for them.

Why, do you think God is annoying?

  11. From their end, they see it as mindless pestering.

Afterall, "What if [they] are right and it is all false?" Then you are just preventing them from enjoying the short life they have to the fullest. How could you possibly bother them like that?

I just wanted to show how they see it...

It seems to me that they are enjoying their life, but want to prevent us from enjoying ours.

    How so?

    I agree with you Abigailwc.

We do things for God, Not for humans. We find happiness in doing these things for God.

How do we enjoy life? By helping others who are lost.

Cyrrylia, How so? just like this.

  12. Amen. This is an important revelation from our Lord. Keep following the Lord in this manner and your spiritual legs will become strong.

    1 Timothy 4:8 (Amplified Bible)

For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come.

So we need to exerise spiritually.

We need strong spiritual legs as we are runners in this race.

    1 Corinthians 9:24

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

As those who compete in track, the runners must practice running very often. They must have strong legs. As the runners in a race are all dashing for the finish line, so are we.

Yes, we should not be like those who sit on the sideline and watch. There are enough of those already. We will never get anywhere like that. Instead we should seek Him everyday, and do all we can with a clear conscience. So keep up your pace, if you fall, God will help you back up.

  13. Eternity, i have thought about it before, i thought and thought, and i thought some more and you know what i figured out? Nothing! its completely mindblowing, as you have said, no can can begin understanding it. I believe that God has so much in store for us that we will never tire of Him.

" Driven By Eternity"....I will try to find it and read it. Anyways. God bless you with your work!
