UN calls for boycott of US companies doing business in Israel

And yet one more reason why I love HP . . . -
Well, thankfully shes not a completle lost cause.
-
Ive seen that other. Like I said, I am undecided on the agenda 21 stuff-theres some interesting stuff on that site, enough to make me curious, but not enough to fully believe in it yet.
-
Of course katyann-their not going to publicly admit thats what it says, then there would be war. The first was to point out that congress was considering some sort of treaty-not necessarily its contents. The second, from fox news, describes the senates reaction to the treaty and concerns that it may not be constitional-if it is, like you claim, harmless, the senate, wouldn't be throwing a fit over it. Theyre throwing a fit, because obviously there are things in that treaty, that do contradict our rights, that they havent released to the public yet. Is say kudos to that 51 senators that pitched the fit. I dont trust anything that comes out of obamas office as truth-they have proven how dishonest they have been over and over, and the UN is far worse from what I have seen.
-
I did-did you? it was indeed something Obama was pushing, and the senate, so far has shut it down-I said that in the original post.
-
Not correct, its been in the makings. The only reason it hasnt been signed yet, is low and behold, our house and senate have actually been doing their jobs for once. http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/untreaty.asp http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/07/27/un-fails-to-reach-deal-on-global-arms-trade-treaty-as-us-asks-for-more-time/ Im not sure I believe in all that "agenda 21" stuff that other one has been preaching about or not (I havent seen enough evidence one way or the other to make up my mind) but Obama trying to get the US to sign UNs small arms treaty, is a signed, documented fact-not speculation. Its something he hasnt succeeded at, and I dont plan on giving him 4 more years to try.
-
Obama, hasn't come out against guns-but that doesnt mean hes for them. Its probably because hes been working with the UN on an agreement that would disarm america, why would he come down on the gun laws, when he could get the UN to do his dirty work for him. One of those, while americas focus is on his controversal healthcare system, hes been working behind the scenes.

The problem with that is, we dont even get our oil from over there right now, at least not the bulk of it. Most of our oil we get from this side of the hemisphere, number 1 is venezuela I believe if I remember right, and canada is also in the top 3. . .most of the middle east oil from places like saudi arabia goes to europe not here, the middle east is just the oil giants excuse to raise our prices is all.

“God will never put more on you than you can handle.”
The_Patriot21 replied to GoldenEagle's topic in Theology
I understand what your saying but I actually disagree. I don't think God ever will give us more then we can handle-and he will give us help in temptation, if we choose to accept it. The Bible is full of examples of people who followed God who were given trials-Job for example, was literally squashed-everything was taken away, family, fortune, everything, his own wife cursed him. Most people would fall into temptation and curse God-Job did not. He was strong enough to handle it, and He did. Now, lets go to king Saul. He had everything-wealth, family, yet fell into temptation, and let his pride and jealousy ruin him. He could have chosen not to, but he didnt. That verse applies a lot more then just the people it was originally intended, about their temptations, it applies to all of us. God wont let us take on more then we can handle. But that doesnt mean we wont choose to drop the ball. Just because we can handle it doesnt mean we will, and yes, God does like to push the boundaries-because it helps increase how much we can handle. And often, we don't realize just how much we can handle until we face the trial. But God will always give us a way out-it may not even be on this earth, it may be in heaven, but God will always deliver those who are faithful to Him. -

You know, going through what you have to say, I do understand it, but I also disagree. Yes, the verses in the song I posted link to that passage, and its talking about temptation, but I don't think it was applying just to the people there about that specific temptation, I think its about all temptation-I don't believe that God will ever give us so much temptation, or lead us anywhere in life, where there isnt a way out. You bring up a good point, yes God likes to break us down-and yes we face trials and tribulations, but we are never without an escape. Lets look at some examples. Job, Job was completly broken down-all his wealth, family everything was taken from him, his own wife cursed him. This is the point where most people would fall into temptation, and curse God, yet Job remained faithful, he stuck to it, and God rewarded him for it, He was not in a situation he could not escape. King Saul. Saul, had it all-kingdom, riches, family. Yet, he chose to fall into the temptations of pride, and jealousy, and they ultimatly became his downfall. So did King David, but unlike Saul, King david came back to God, and Saul did not. Saul had the option to remain strong, yet chose not to. Just because we always have the choice to remain faithful, and an avenue of escape, doesnt mean we always take it, in fact, being human, we often choose not to. But God is faithful-if we follow him, He will always deliver us-it maybe on this earth, it maybe in heaven, but He always will, and that is what that passage says to me. And I think that song I posted, proclaims that message loud and clear. -
We have the oil, we could have been the worlds leading oil producer years ago-just from the oil we get in alaska and the gulf (if we were allowed to fully tap them) and thats not even counting what we have in North Dakota. Our government, has been the only thing limiting us. In fact, we could be 100% self sufficient, AND the worlds leading producer, but the government-Obama being the worse, has done everything to bottleneck drilling, and even cancelled that nice big oil pipeline going to canada. But hey, I guess thats to be expected from a President who wants to remove as many non-government jobs from our economy as possible, and half the government who cares more about their pocketbook and the trees, then in the people.

Hmmm zombie invastion, perhaps I should go buy another gun for the zombies. . .lol jk, I already got zombie killing bullets (really, theyre called zombie killers) Personally, while I respect a person not wanting one, I do believe everyone should have a gun-or at the very least an understanding of how to handle one, and handle one safely. A lot of people who are afraid of guns, are afraid because they don't fully understand them-teaching basic gun safety and handling to more people, I think would alleviate these fears, and I think would cut down on accidents around them. I mean yes, you may not have a gun at home-but what if you or your kids are at a friends house or come across a gun laying in the street-which has been known to happen, you should know and understand how to handle yourself around them in a safe matter, and if your not afraid of them, the better the chances are you will be safe around them. Im for better gun education, not gun control. I have several guns-for different purposes-I have a couple for fun shooting, a few I use primarily for hunting, like my 270 and my 12 gauge-and I have 2 handguns-my 1911, which I carry when Im out in the woods (hunting camping whatever) just for protection against bears and cougars and the like, and a smaller .40 cal I have as a conceal carry, which is for personal defense while in town. Both are by my bed at night. Guns are simply tools-when used properly.

First off, I would like to urge you not to rely on human judgement if it clashes with the Bible-because the Bible, is always right, it is infallible. If something doesn't make sense to you about the Bible, that doesnt mean the Bible is wrong, it just means you dont understand it properly. Second, if your going to post verses you really should add what you think they mean-just putting verses, in a quote to someone elses question, doesnt answer the question. And if you are implying that those verses mean that we are equal with God-then your incorrect, we are nowhere near the playing field that God is, those verses, are referring to people here on earth, that were all human-and equal, in Gods sight, regardless of our walk in life, you are equal in Gods eyes with say, your boss at work, the leader of your country, etc. etc. We are not equal with God.

How do you? You have yet to ask a question. What is the point of this thread? Do you not understand it? Do you wish to debate a point in it? If so which point and what is your opinion of it? Do you wish to teach something? Eithout a point or clear defined reason for posting this piece of scripture then it is no more then random scripture, posted for no apparent reason. Its a good passage of scripture, it all is, but random nonetheless.

I see no puzzle here either, just a random passage of scripture.

Im not angry im just making some painfully obvious observations.

and you think any of the other candidates are telling all the truth about anything? Im sorry, but they all lie, Romney, Obama, if I was a betting man, Id bet my entire years salary that all the third party candidates are liars to. And its two faced-it wasnt any thing legal that ran cain out, it was the media, and its funny, they crucifed Cain, yet everyone still listens to Bill Clinton, and as far as womanizing goes, hes no better then Cain. Im not necessarily defending what Cain did-but I am poing out that Allred really had nothing to do with it, and what did, the media, are a bunch of two faced hypocrits.
-
I wasnt, I woulda prefered Cain. Im sorry, but I did. And looking back on the articles, Cain would have been finished with or without Allred, allred was just blowing steam, adding the insult to injury.
-
Cain wasnt al allred, half of it was the republican party also wouldnt stand behind him. Romney doesnt have that problem. Allred is a nobody.
