  1. Does this scenario sound silly to you? Well it does to me, too!

Yep I agree, its not the mark that sends you to hell. But rejecting the Word of God and receiving whatever the mark of the beast that will be used worldwide to buy, sell, or trade. :)

  2. I pour a half a cup of lemon juice in an inch or two of hot water and then I use a yacht mop and swish it up the sides ..smells pretty and fresh too.

The guys instructions to this would be to do away with the mop...and pour the water/lemon juice on a pair of socks. Now wear the socks while taking a shower and dance with joy unto the Lord.

Cleaning and having fun at the same time. :whistling:

  3. "And Jesus answered them, 'See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake." Mat 24:4-9

You see, as we get closer and closer to the end times, persecution against God's elect, (true born again Christians) will continue to increase. The Jews are hated by most of the world because they are God's original chosen people and since most of the world today hates God they also hate His people. And, since America supports Isreal and still claims to be a Christian nation, they also hate us. Jesus put it this way:

"If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you... Remember the word that I said to you: A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name because they do not know Him who sent Me... Whoever hates me, hates my Father also." John 15:18-23

Welcome to Worthy spurgeon's apprentice. :21:

  4. Iraq? that wound is pretty deadly right now.

Just remember God restored Israel as a nation for a reason, everything will be focused around Israel in the end. :emot-partyblower:

  5. What if the head that suffers the wound is a nation that is war torn and devastated and the beast brings sudden peace to this nation.

1 Thess. 5:3 For when they say "Peace and safety" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

    Not saying I'm right......just a thought.

To me the wound seems to be directly related to the Anti-Christ (not that my view is set in stone :) ), I think that many nations will be in a time of trouble during his rise and looking for a solution for peace (we're getting close to that point already). And he will come in peaceably with a 7yr treaty with Israel and the Arab nations and will seem to have the answers for all the troubles. I personally believe that an attempt will be made to stop his rise into power. And he is healed from this wound which will seem to all that he is for sure dead. But its not of his own power that he his healed. Deception comes to my mind.

And this event causes all (without the truth) to marvel after him.

Revelation 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

And the false prophet will add to his power with false miracles and signs which will seem real but are of a lie.

The Anti-Christ, False Prophet, and 'system' brought about through them will all be tied together by one source...Satan.

After 3 1/2 yrs. from the peace treaty being accepted, its broken and the verse you posted.....1 Thess. 5:3 For when they say "Peace and safety" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

  6. Luk 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Satan was once an angel that became mortal.

The beast's head wound; could have occured on his fall from glory(becoming mortal) .

Mmm I'm not so sure about Satan becoming mortal, he's still a spirit and will spend eternity in the lake of fire.

He must place his power into a physical body (Anti-Christ) to setup his final army against Israel and Christ returning. Rev. 13:2 "and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."

Satan is referred to as the dragon, giving the beast his power.

From what I've understood the the beast spoken of here is the same one Daniel seen in his vision.

Daniel 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

The beast is a form of government and the 10 horns represent kingdoms under this government. Notice three are removed and then a little horn arises in their place but is a man (Anti-Christ). I believe this man is one of the heads thats wounded.

If its a nation thats wounded how can the the other beast (False Prophet) spoken of later in the chapter of Rev.13 cause all to worship a nation? I believe its the little horn which Daniel saw that is a man who rises into power (Anti-Christ) that is wounded but healed. And Satan gives him his full authority and power.

    Second beast (False Prophet)

Rev.13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

I personally don't believe a nation which survives an attack can cause the rest of the world to worship it. Is the Anti-Christ "and a mouth speaking great things" which perhaps receives the deadly wound but is healed in a miraculous way, causing all to follow him with the help of the False Prophet? :24:

  7. How often do I quench the fruit of the Holy Spirit when I reject His urgings and follow my own selfish desire? How I must grieve the Holy Spirit!

Same with me, its a constant struggle between my flesh and following the Spirit. I often try it my way first and only later realize how much easier if I would've just followed what the Holy Spirit lead me to do. :)

But its a learning process with our relationship with God, the same as it is with teaching our own children. And like children all we have to do is ask. :whistling:

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

How much of God can I have and really want? He's big, and He doesn't sit idle when He comes. I asked God questions like this then He asked me....how much of you can I have? To this day I still struggle with giving Him an honest answer.

  8. Who is this promised of the Father?
    The Spirit of God.

    Why does He come?
We wouldn't understand the truth without Him teaching us.

    What is His role?
John16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

What should we expect of Him?
    Everything we expect of God.

    How should we honor Him?
    By obeying Him.
When are we filled with Him?
    When we are obeying Him.

    Ephesians 4:30

"And do not grieve the holy Spirit of God"

God the Spirit can be moved by our actions. Bewildering. ;)

I wouldn't say bewildering, God feels sorrow ...whatever we see in the life of Jesus we see in the Father and Holy Ghost. Did Jesus feel sorrow when he walked on the earth? Yep. What caused it? God being rejected.

So why would our actions move God? Well let me ask this....after we accept Christ into our hearts and receive salvation can we still reject God? Yes :o How? Well do we always follow what the Holy Spirit leads us to do? And if we ever say no or ignore Him then what would you call that action toward God? Rejection. When we are facing temptation and God clearly points it out as sin but we choose to do it anyway. What do you call that action toward God? Rejection. And how does this make Him feel? grieved (sorrow).

Ooo my, what would the Church body be like if each of us would simply obey what the Holy Spirit instructed us to do not just once but everyday. :noidea::) .

1 Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.

  9. And I CANNOT make coffee myself. It tastes like liquid dirt.

    :24: I guess thats fancy speaking for.....mud?

I voted 1 cup a day but I got this really cool coffee mug for Christmas awhile back...I say its a cup but it takes 8 cups according to the level on the coffee pot to fill my cup. :24:

I like it straight up black.

I'm curious as to how many others adds new coffee grains to the old grains still in the filter from the day before and recycle it for another pot? Come on now...I know I'm not the only one who does that. :24:

  10. it's awful! We had snow for Easter in Texas! ;)

That was to cool I thought....one day it was in the 80's a few days later I stepped outside and it was snowing. My daughter had a blast even though it didn't stick.

We rarely see snow here in Texas then it decides to snow in spring, gotta love Texas weather. ;)

I bet this summer you'll be wishing for another snow fall once the temps hit 110 with our wonderful humidity we have. ;)

  11. Look, the Lord has spoken out of an ass's mouth before and no doubt continues to do so every Sunday morning.

Marnie I find it hard to eat something while reading some of your replies, to easy to get choked while laughing.

  12. Roman 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

My pastor touched on this subject and its something that I never had given any thought about. Death is the result of sin and although Jesus was in the flesh he was born of a virgin and without sin. So was it even possible for him to experience death until he chose to take our sins upon himself?

I believe thats why he was able to take such a tremendous amount of torture. He wasn't able to die until the sins of man was placed on him.

Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

He had complete control over his life and had to make that choice to 'give' his life for our sins. Wow I never looked at it from this angle.

  13. Hmm wow, not there IS an interesting thought!

It certianly is and that would mean that God is continually recreating every thing that exist by the words spoken from His mouth.
