The death of Jesus; the graves are opened, but the dead do not arise until "after his resurrection":

Matt. 27:50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. 51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were awakened; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection/rising, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

The day of his rising, he appears first to Mary M., tells her he is to imminently arise; then returns that evening to his disciples after returning from above:

John 20:1 Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. ... 11 Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, ... 14 she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. ... 17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” ... 19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” Luke 24:38 And He said to them, ...39 “Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

Jesus cried with a loud voice and yielded up His spirit.

Then where did he go? It wasn't to heaven if you read carefully.

At the same time graves were opened...

Where did they go? Again before He ascended to Heaven for the offering?

Yes, Jesus had already offered his blood before they arose from the tombs. He did so on the day of the Resurrection, telling Mary M. not to touch him before he ascended. Later that evening, having ascended and returned, he was touched aplenty.

Not following you here. So when did the many graves open at Christ resurrection before telling Mary not to touch Him before He ascended? They can't come before the Lord unless they returned from where they come from?

Nothing here about "returning to their homes to give testament." and thereby be able to escape the prison of Hades, which could no longer prevail against them. Others undoubtedly arose far from the area of Jerusalem.

Regarding the first shall be last, and the last first, this refers, at least in part, to the Hebrew peoples, most of whom were blinded to the Gospel at the Lord's first coming, thereby allowing Gentiles to enter the Kingdom of Heaven before them.

So Jesus had already acceded into heaven and offered His blood at the alter of God as the high priest...before they returned to the holy city? Jerusalem.

for it is in the bibkle and cannot be dismissed that the graves were open, at that time, so what would be a reasonable answer then  Jesus has freed them, for He alone has broken the power of Sin and Death, so

    possibilities.

There's no doubt that graves were opened and dead raised during Christ being raised from the dead. But Scripture says they returned to their homes to give testament. That's not possible for all the old testament believers at the time.  My question is were those that were raised, raised in their glorified bodies? Christ raised others from the dead when alive but not in their glorified bodies.... they had to die again. What exactly did Christ mean when He said the first shall be last and the last shall be first?

that is great questions, and  as per the scriptures that I understand to answer these question,s

Did the old testament Christians die  in Christ ? if Christ was not until the N<T then they Died following the Word of God and the prophets, now when Jesus was raised from the dead,  it says that grave were open and so I believe they did, for what was in God the father and the old, was also in Jesus , and so Jesus hears there voice, and they are raised,

Now we we have two separate raises of the dead in Christ. According to the first (old testament believers) went back to their homes and gave witness of what happened....? Hmm old testament homes lasted longer than I thought.

chat with you later thanks for the verses  these are the ones I was talking about,

Thanks for your patience, I figured these verses would be what you're considering.

Before we go further regarding  dates, I'd like to ask you a few simple questions.

Did the old testament believers die in Christ?

If yes, then when did they receive Holy Spirit?

If no, then when do they receive their glorified bodies?

I am all about getting to the truth of the scriptures , and yes , but where does it say that it is a new covenant ? lets start with that,

then we need to see who is it talking about to set this covenant, or I will say affirm or to strengthen it, ?not new !... ?

do we know who this person is ?

third I will say is it already past tense , or is one scripture verse with two different people, or one verse with one person ,it is talking about in Daniel, ? these are the questions to be answered to follow through to knowing what Daniel has stated in this chapter, and with out that information, it is not going to go any where, for most people don't know the who , the when and the what, of this covenant and person, or persons ?

so I am ready 7th seal, thank you for your response, also  and blessings and peace. lets do this...

Sorry for my late response, its 4:45am here and I'm getting ready for work. I won't be able to check in very often as my daughter is on spring break from school and my family and I won't be at the house much during the last of it and the weekend. I will continue in this discussion though.

As for the covenant I would begin by looking at this verse.

Daniel 9:27  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

As for the one week being 7yrs. that would be based on this verse. I will have get deeper into this at a later time though. Have a blessed day. :)

Daniel 9:24  Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

thank you for the post, but there is no seven year covenant to be made, and no one really knows that there is a seven year period of tribulation and the antichrist breaks it in the middle, this is all speculation, of something that is not affirmed, for the scripture talks about  affirming, or to strengthen up , but not as a new covenant at all,

Well now we enter into another discussing concerning Daniel chapter 9. There's been many discussions on it here already and I'm sure it could easily lead to another with many interpretations. :)

As for the temple being rebuilt, how does the Antichrist stop the sacrifice and claim to be god in the temple if one isn't built? I'll post the Scriptures if you don't know what I'm referring to.

okay we talked about the white horse I think we can all agree it was released to conquer,

now with that I think maybe the Red horse has been released for the red horse is about the peace of the world taken away , and when the people and leaders of power say peace and security then sudden chaos will come,

and so it will be followed by the black horse for it has the scales, for it will mean that devastation, and government control has taken over for we will not be able to survive., on our own, if the world goes up side down, and it will be a bad tribulation period,

I believe the white horse is out, and the red horse is upon us, and the black horse is really next, but time will tell

if there is no peace in the earth , then would we not have the red horse present,?

tell me what you think, thank you and blessings

The white horse ushers in the 7yr covenant with Israel and the surrounding middle east nations. This hasn't happened even though the world leaders are heavily pressuring Israel on this. Still... one particular individual will achieve it, then 3 1/2yrs later he breaks it (the same time Satan is cast down to earth and directly enters into him (Antichrist). Look what happens next in Revelation, he then makes war against both Israel and the Saints around the world. It seems to me that at the same time Satan is thrown down from heaven and finds that he's on earth according to Scripture, the rider of the red horse is given power to take peace from the world (start war). Can you see why in Revelation the world is being warned of satan's great fury when he's cast down to earth? Many are being killed and God's wraith on earth is being poured out during this time aswell. God Himself says that if He doesn't speed up time (ever how He does it) during this time no flesh would survive. The Great Tribulation, we haven't seen God's wraith yet nor do we desire to.

    Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

    Proverbs 9:10

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Different words depending on the translation, but I'm sure we all get the gist.

    Proverbs 10:27

The fear of the Lord prolongs days, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.

    Proverbs 14:26

In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, And His children will have a place of refuge.

    Proverbs 14:27

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.

    Proverbs 15:16

Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, Than great treasure with trouble.

    Proverbs 15:33

The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility.

    Proverbs 1:28-30

    28 “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
    29 Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the Lord,
30 They would have none of my counsel
    And despised my every rebuke.

The bible says it is a good thing to fear the Lord.  You know the word fear not only means dread and terror, but utmost respect and reverence, right?  Just saying, that might be the reason we are not on exactly the same page.

All of these point to lost receiving truth, which is what I mentioned earlier. Once believing the truth of God's love and receiving it how can we fear love? Its our sinful body that disrupts it.

Then why is the fear of the Lord the beginning of understanding?

Scripture as I quoted earlier says that its the beginning of wisdom, not understanding. Fear of what God says the lost end up in leads to a decision. That choice is wisdom based on believing truth (Jesus Christ). Now understanding is responding to what Holy Spirit reveals to us after believing the truth... applying the truth in our daily lives. Holy Spirit always points to Jesus Christ and Jesus has given Word (truth) for every single thing that we face in life. Do we always keep it?

I think what I am really after here is that God would be every reality to me.  That I would just actually be aware of Him, and respond to Him as I should, and not be so easily distracted away from Him as I currently am.  I need to reverence Him more.

It's loving the Lord that you're after... not seeking more fear of Him.

John 14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

It's when we begin to stray from His words that we begin fearing Him, because Holy Spirit is revealing the truth in us. Keeping His words is appling them in our daily lives. Its extremely easy for me to personally stray away from this and thankfully Holy Spirit reveals the truth and draws me back through love... keeping His words. God has designed it perfectly... completely amazing!

Now those not willing to consider nor apply His words.... now that's something that will bring true fear during God's judgement.

This is kinda hard for me to say, but: I know I fear the Lord, but not nearly enough as I should.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Romans 10:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Luke 12:32  Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

    SS,

I do not believe the Freat trib has begun yet although I concede, since Christ exited the scene, we have had plenty of tribulation for sure. Many Christians have died for their faith and are still dying by the boatload as we speak.

my initial thoughts are this: the Great tribulation probably has not started now. I'm thinking the seals may be the great tribulation, so I'm not sure if the rider on the white horse has ridden yet.

    Spock

    Its not in place yet.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

The world is seeking strongly its own means of peace but without Jesus Christ. But when that destruction begins... there will be billions dying world wide.

Don't really agree with the pic as all saints will inherit the earth. Lake of fire is forever though and will be eternal.

    Continue in reading the Scriptures.

John 14: 6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7  If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

My grandmother also seemed to be harassed by something and turned to religion for help. She became very religious. However to this day, she hears the voices of both demons and angels (according to her), and also claims to have seen angels.

and my upbringing regarding religion. I think the church we grew up in may have been corrupted.

I've just had the notion nagging me lately that this is something that is more spiritual in nature, and that may be haunting my entire bloodline.

Even though I haven't been religious since my childhood,

I feel like if God exists then he probably hates me. I think this was confirmed because I read that if you blaspheme against God it is game-over, and when I was a kid, in a moment of anger over my father, I said something that was definitely blaspheme against God.

Do you think this sounds like a possible spiritual/demonic problem?

I feel so lost and confused at this point in my life and don't know what to believe, I feel a combination of numb and scared most of the time.

Demons will quickly point to religion as the answer to your problems. Being religious is simply a repetitive act... and a  relationship with Jesus Christ has nothing to do with this. In a relationship you're speaking with and relying on Him daily for guidance during your problem at the exact moment. This requires seeking Him and most importantly responding to Him as He leads you by the Holy Spirit. Now you're faced as to whether you've received the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit always points to Jesus Christ... what did Jesus say? All of it is recorded in Scripture and it all deals with everyday life. We can read all we want and listening to all we want but do we apply it because we believe Jesus? Well that requires faith. God Himself says that we are saved by faith.

Look closely at the Scriptures that FrensoJoe posted.....seek the Lord.
