  1. Littlelamb is right. But I didn't know that there was a word "fealty", so I didn't get it. At Christ's name every knee shall bow and all creatures their fealty vow! Misunderstandings are ever greater fun when you're not a native speaker. My mom used to joke that she heard "Andromeda, Andromeda" while listening to Rainbow's "I surrender". When I was 7 and listened to Michael Jackson sing "Beat it", it sounded to me like the Bulgarian word for "chicken". "Smoke on the water", in my country, is often referred to as "A grass-snake in the tree", again, because some think that it sounds like these Bulgarian words. Thank you all.
  2. Hi guys and gals Can you help me with a line I can't hear well in a Kemper Crabb song? I'm not sure whether I can post links, so I'll tell you this. The song is on youtube, it's called "The all father litany" The lyrics as I hear them: All Father Yahweh rules on high Revealed to men in Jesus Christ Fear before him, all ye lands Grace and judgement in his hands At Christ
  3. Thanks guys! Those two were not the song I was looking for. But I got to read part 1 of Rick's testimony. I thought of another that I would like to hear or at least read: "Poor Charlie". Rich Mullins said this at one of his last concerts: "Here's another song that I wrote. Only this one isn't new, but my record company, which I finally got rid of, wouldn't let me record it 'cause they thought it was offensive, but I love being offensive. I think it comes from growing up listening to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young or something. Well, this one goes..." I couldn't find the lyrics and music for download anywhere. I wonder what kind of offensive song Rich would sing in a church. Lora
  4. I used to have a tape with worship songs, but I don't have my cassette player any more. Can anyone remember this song and tell me the title and the artist? I'd love to find the mp3 as well. You have searched me and you knew me when I sit and when I rise from afar you see what I'm thinking you'e familiar with all my ways then there was... from your presence there is nowhere I can go that you won't find me from the highest place in heaven to the furthest corner of the deepest sea I know it's a lot like a few other songs... I could find this exact one when I searched for the lyrics on Google. Blessings from Bulgaria Lora
  5. I can't believe you are actually having fun with this.... Queen of Denial... Shakespeare... I have taken my details off my profile and intend to stop reading the boards and posting on them. It's really a waste of time and I have repented for it. Most people are here and on Christian boards in general to simulate some kind of communication, staying as far as they can from each other. I knew that when I came to Worthy but I still did a few discussions. That's another thing to repent for. I'm sorry I caused you to joke with something serious. Lora
  6. "Are you saying that since this is a christian board that everyone here is as pure as the driven snow?" No, Eddie, I'm just saying that it's normal to tell your name to a person you are talking to. There are many Lora's in Varna, Bulgaria. It's about being open and honest when I come and talk to people about God.
  7. "it is not real wise for young women and teenagers to splash everything there is to know about themselves all over a profile" Thanks for the warning. I'm a young woman. In the light of what you said, I'm happy you never went to see my profile. God knows what you could do to me...
  8. I cannot compare this time to Jesus' time, but I can compare Christ's followers to him.
  9. "this is a ministry, and those of us who are serious here know who we are and we know each others names, even if we choose not to make them public." Alright, you know each other's names and I'm not allowed to? A strange ministry it is. Serving through the Internet and afraid of the Internet.
  10. No matter what name we use? What if Jesus the Christ had come and called himself something else so that no one bothers his with spam in his mail box? He surely had other things to do but rebuke the pharisees and heal the sick, why reveal that he was the Messiah?
  11. Yeah, the Lord knows, but we here are people. When I sit and talk to someone I normally know their name. If we keep discussing things without telling each other names we are really just throwing words into the empty space. Talking to ghosts. Having fun disguising ourselves when the kingdom of God is not about fun but about communion. We are not children of the light if we remain hidden.
  12. I've been on this forum for almost a month and I may have missed an explanation. But why don't you guys want to fill in your name and location and age in your profiles? The Internet is the perfect place to bring harm and get away with it or to remain anonimous and act like you're asking for help. But if we don't say our names and make unspoken prayer requests or tell just half of our problem, how do we expect to be helped?
  13. Ray, one thing is for sure, God is able to heal the hearts of all veterans and all war victims. He can make them feel safe and loved. I don't know your friend but I'll pray for him. Two years ago I prayed with another three people for a Bulgarian soldier who had come back from Iraq ill. He came out for prayer because one half ogf his body was slowly getting paralyzed, shaking and giving him strange sensations. He told us that he was really scared for his life when he was arrested by the Iraquis and remained imprisoned for two months. You could see the pain and fear in his eyes, he had faced death. When you go to war, you are not like Peter sleeping in prison. You are not there because God sent you, for his soldiers fight in the spiritual world. As we prayed, we asked him to think of a situation in Iraq. He saw himself and an Iraqui sondier who was about to arrest him. Then we asked him to look around for Jesus. He looked hard and then saw him at the end of a tunnel. Then Jesus came closer and held him. He warmed up, said that his pain had diminished and left looking a little calmer. I pray that he has fully recovered today.
  14. I wish that porn was only on porn sites... it's in normal movies as well. Last year a sister prayed for me and God brought me back to a night when I was 5 or 4 years old. I watched a movie on TV and I remember clearly when a guy raped a girl in the bathroom. Such scenes formed my very idea of sex. Convinced me that lust and violence had to be part of it. For my self, I find that as long as it's away from my eyes, fantasies are out of my head as well. And away from my ears... think - is there a performer or a style of music that makes your mind pornographic? Sometimes all it takes is a little song on the radio - even if all you ever listen to at home is worship.
