  1. Thanks for your help, Iryssa! We do use the internet at the library a lot! But there are times that we should have email NOW, and I just don't have time to run to the library, even if it's just down the street. We have a Juno email at this point, and can download either Juno or NetZero for 10 hours a month free internet. That's probably what we will do. The only objection we have is this: Some of the advertising that comes with it is disgusting, and if you happen to click some of the ads, you can get all kinds of nasty "Bugs" So, we just thought we'd run this by a bunch of Christians who might know of a better free internet provider. But if that's all that's available, so be it. Thanks for the time you spent in replying!
  2. Basically, I believe that the paraphrase is not correct. I have hair that reaches below my waist, but I put it up in a bun to keep it out of my way. I guess you could call me ultra ultra conservative. But that is my preference, and I won't push it on anyone else. Neither will I argue about it. Shall we just agree to disagree?
  3. Hi! I'm new to Worthy Boards. I found it by accident when I was looking for free email. When I spied the ad for free Christian email, I thought it was to good to be true!!!! Alas, it was. They aren't accepting any new accounts at this time! But, anyway, I could use some advice. We would really use email here at our house. But we are rather sqeezed financially right now, so we can't afford DSL and don't have the time or patience to wait on dial-up. (When we do need internet, it's much easier to stop at the library and use the internet there.) So, before I end this free trial that we're on now, can any of you internet savvy folks out there tell me if there are any better options than getting NetZero's plan for 10 hrs. a month free, and then using it strictly for email? This is what we were planning to do, but I don't like all the crazy ads. I can ignore them, but the children can NOT. Thank you!
  4. 1 Corinthians 11:13-16... Don't you agree there is something naturally powerful in the symbolism
  5. Well said! Kitty Lover, just stick to your convictions. As long as you are doing out it of love, and not to earn your way into heaven (as if that were possible!) you are not legalistic. Another thought; are you "letting your light shine" like a glaring spotlight, or like the gentle candle that Jesus mentioned? In other words: Live up to your convictions, but don't expect everyone else to share them. For example, I would be very uncomfortable wearing slacks, too. But I won't push my views onto my neighbor who does wear slacks. GOD BLESS YOU!! Annie M
