Shalom, And why shouldn't I keep coming back?I'm not the one who said I was "leaving this tedious topic alone" many pages back and then keeps posting. I think you're funny actually, but I really am sorry you're so mad.

Shalom Jackie, the Bible IS for real life. You just have to apply it! Hello? This is a DISCUSSION board. We discuss here dear. That doesn't mean we don't go out and change things in our lives, but we do talk about them here. I thought you knew that/ OK, so you have a personal ax to grind with Proverbs 21 women. I get it. However, your personal issues do not negate the truth from the Scriptures of how women are to live in the Messiah. What are you talking about now? OK, so are you talking about yourself here? Because you sure aren't talking to anyone I know. And since you aren't able to see on the other side of the computer monitor, I know you are trying to judge people you don't know! If you have a less-than-perfect life, why blame others? Take it to your G-d.
-
Shalom WSB, What ARE you talking about? The Word of G-d is the Word of G-d! It says plainly that women are to be in submission to men. You don't have to like ir or agree, but you'll have to take it up with G-d since He wrote it. Oh man, is this ever funny. OK, let's deal with these one at a time: I challenge you to produce a post where someone says women are second class. This is actually a STRAW MAN FALLACY of your own making. No one here has ever said that, for that is not the Scriptural position presented. You'll have to prove your accusation or it's a false accusation (which is a sin "bearing false witness.") Straw man. This is the fallacy of refuting a caricatured or extreme version of somebody's argument, rather than the actual argument they've made. Often this fallacy involves putting words into somebody's mouth by saying they've made arguments they haven't actually made, in which case the straw man argument is a veiled version of argumentum ad logicam. One example of a straw man argument would be to say, "Mr. Jones thinks that capitalism is good because everybody earns whatever wealth they have, but this is clearly false because many people just inherit their fortunes," when in fact Mr. Jones had not made the "earnings" argument and had instead argued, say, that capitalism gives most people an incentive to work and save. The fact that some arguments made for a policy are wrong does not imply that the policy itself is wrong. Nope. You twisted the truth here. We are talking spiritual authority. That has nothing to do with voting and laws. Again, you are making stuff up. Please, stick to the facts! Nope. This is not a church and women posters are not in spiritual authority over men by posting. You really need to get the facts straight! Again, another false accusation and one that has nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

Shalom Jackie, Oh, grow up girl! What drama!! Talons? Too funny! I'm not the one "boiling mad" dear, you are. You don't have a clue what my heart motives are. And your continued unChrist-like attacks just keep proving the point. Either give it to Jesus or let it go.

you are kidding right? especially the part about women staying home so that men can work....do you live in the US? Have kids? ever been divorced or knocked up a woman and then left her behind with the kids?...should that woman stay home too, so that the man who left her desolate can have a job yet fail to pay child support? Shalom Jackie, You're using situational ethics to dispute G-d's Word? Sorry, it won't float. If these women would trust G-d, He will help them. The Scriptures are clear. WOW, someone has touched a nerve here! Remember, this is about Biblical issues.

Shalom David, As I have posted previously, the Sabbath was instituted by G-d at Creation. He made the DAY holy. The Scriptures say WHY and WHEN. This was done before any WHO came on the scene. Genesis 2 1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. 3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. The day has never been made UNholy. IOW, What G-d did at Creation has never been changed by Him. It is man that keeps trying to change it.

Shalom Jackie, Sorry you're angry, but you really need to chill. Look at G-d's Word dear. Another good example of why women should not lead. Too emotional. I'm asking how old you are because of your less-than-mature responses. Justified in your mind or not, you're sinning and violating TOS. Colossians 3 8But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices

This is one of the most appauling statements I have ever seen posted at WB by a Christian. The writings of Paul are the writings of God. And what "Paul" stated here is no differen't than what Jesus said in Matthew 19:12 "For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it." Neither Paul nor Jesus were forbidding marriage, but were only saying that for some people, it is a better choice to remain single in order to focus 100 percent on the ministry. 2 Timothy 3:16,17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." This would include t Shalom Butero, AMEN AMEN AMEN! I'm so glad that someone else responded!!! I said the same thing myself in post #191 http://www.worthyboards.com/index.php?s=&a...t&p=1090805

Shalom Jackie, Got your feathers ruffled, do ya? How old are ya anyway? And your personal attacks are a good example of why women should not be leaders. Thank you for that. BTW, you have violated not only the board TOS by your personal attack, but violated Scripture. You don't like it when people disagree with you? Welcome to life and message boards. If you can't handle the heat, then re-think playing in the kitchen.

Shalom Jackie, And that's what women are supposed to do in church not preach or have authority over men! Good call! 1 Corinthians 14 4 the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. 35If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.

Shalom Arthur, Nope. You missed where G-d made the 7th day holy and instituted the Sabbath at Creation. Genesis 2 1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. 3So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.

I DO understand it, completely and I completely disagree with it, based on the Scriptures. I observe the 7th day Sabbath but in no way shape or form believe that it has anything to do with salvation. That just is not what the Scriptures say. And I disagree with your views based on the Scriptures. The 4th Commandment has equal standing as the other 9. Instead, most Christians have made the 4th commandment as less important than the other 9. This is an unbiblical position and one I will never support. If breaking the other 9 commandments is a salvation issue, then so is breaking the 4th. Shalom JemDude, And guess what? You are entitled to disagree with anyone's views and walk out what you believe. But, also guess what? You are not entitled to criticize others for not walking as you do, if they believe the Scriptures say differently. We must walk in GRACE Brother.

Shalom Jackie, YES, I am a sweetheart, thank you for noticing. And thanks for your blessing as well. BTW my name is Vickilynn. Thanks!
-
no I don't..... HAHAHAHA! That's a good example for not having women leaders!! You said you were gonna leave this topic alone and now you say you won't. Oh well. Bring it on then!

Shalom Suzanne, Amen and amen and amen! Good thread! I, like Bib, am a stay-at-home, wife and homemaker and love to be a Proverbs 31 and Titus 2 woman. We lived on a mini-farm for a few years and hubby milked the dairy goats and I made all sorts of cheeses! It was great. Yeah, we raised chickens and got their fresh eggs, but we couldn't bring ourselves to butcher them to eat, so we let them die of old age! We DID slaughter and process our kid goats that I helped deliver, but I don't ever wanna do that again.

Shalom Jackie, Promise?? Actually, that is incorrect. G-D wants women to submit to His authority structure and that means submitting to one's husband and submitting to a male spiritual authority if in a church. So, you're saying that you can't "find" any of the the men G-d has called to be leaders in their homes and churches so you're gonna help Him out by stepping in their roles? That makes NO sense either intellectually or Scripturally. We either do it G-D's way or we are in rebellion. Simple! Saying you allow the L-rd to be your head and not submitting to HIS authority structure is deceiving yourself. G-d's Word is clear that men are the ones in authority in the home and church and if a women refuses to submit to G-d's structure, she is NOT allowing the L-rd to be her head, but she is placing herself ABOVE G-d by not submitting to Him. It's an old trick to say "G-d is my authority, I need no one else." , but that's not what the Bible teaches, so if a woman goes against her husband's authority or over men in church, she is NOT having G-d as her authority, she is having herself. Society has nothing to do with anything. G-d's Word is His Word. If one rebells against G-d's Word and makes excuses for it (there are NO good men left!! ), the person needs to know they are rebelling against G-d, not men.

Shalom Cobalt, Precislely! We are each "convinced in our own mind." (Romans 14) Amen. I feel it is a disservice to the Body to teach the view that salvation hangs on the Sabbath. The Sabbath NEVER saved anyone and according to Ephesians, it is by grace through faith we are saved, not by observing any days. No, not at all. I have no problem with people who feel no need to observe the Sabbath in any way. I do not believe it is a command or that it is binding on any Christian. It is a choice of conviction and a rich worship experience, but certainly not mandatory. I just will respond when I see the arguments come up. I agree that the Sabbath is not a salvation issue, but it is an important issue and one that needs to be understood. I have no problem with your beliefs, you are entitled to them, however, I disagree with some of them and when I see them posted, I will respond using the Scriptures. I agree.
-
Shalom Cobalt, And once again, this is incorrect. G-d made the Sabbath DAY holy before there were any Israelites. G-d decreed and instituted the Sabbath before the Law of Moses, this cannot be ignored although you keep trying. The Sabbath was instituted for ALL G-d's people who choose to follow Him and His example. Please read the Scripture - G-d made the 7th DAY holy and He has never changed it. G-d never rescinded what He did in Genesis. He never created another holy Sabbath day. It MUST be a difficult concept obviously because so many Christians miss it and misinterpret it. Fulfill does not mean "end." Jesus own words show that. Fulfill means to walk it out in front of us, to embody the Law, to live it perfectly. From a Messianic response:

Shalom SP, Just some chronic pain. Good days, and some painful days making it hard to type without typos. Today is one of those painful days. Gotta check my posts very carefully. Thanks for your concern. I knew you were playing though! I just wanted to 'spain.
-
Shalom Patricia, Thank you! From your mouth to G-d's ears!!
-
Shalom Jemdude, You are certainly free to believe what you wish, but I'm saying I don't believe the Bible supports that view. Also, THAT is not the topic of this thread. When is the Sabbath is the topic, not how and not if it is a salvation issue. I DO understand it, completely and I completely disagree with it, based on the Scriptures. I observe the 7th day Sabbath but in no way shape or form believe that it has anything to do with salvation. That just is not what the Scriptures say.

and in Christ there is neither male nor female. So who really is the Man being spoken of? love and blessings I usually stay out of these type of debates now, but you might wanna watch your blanket statment of passive people, or women who are evidently to stupid to understand the clear meaning of scripture. I am neither passive nor stupid and I find the scriptures very clear that woman are not to preach or be in authority over men. If we can make blanket statements of our opinions and call them truth, here is mine! I find that people who make statements like yours are usually woman who want to find a reason, any reason for not doing something the Bible clearly states is wrong, because it doesn't suit them and therefore scirpture has to be twisted to suit their purpose, so they can justify what they want, instead of obeying the Lord! Shalom AP, I agree, 100% Thank you! Thanks Vickilynn , but did ted come by and change my name again when I wasn't lookin??? Shalom Scarlet, No honey, I just have very painful hands today and I am making all sorts of typos. Sorry SP!!
-
Shalom David, What do you do? You pray and ask G-d to provide and you trust HIM, not man's thinking, the same way Abraham did concerning Isaac. You don't justify violating Scripture. As long as women are in the men's roles, men will not step up. G-d qualifies the man.
-
Shalom, EXACTLY. And no, it is not a salvation issue, nor is it a command in the way it is being presented. It is not a SIN not to observe the Sabbath. It is G-d's plan and desire and example, but in no way are we bound by the Law to observe. It is a conviction of the heart, not a commandment to observe the Sabbath unto the L-rd.
