Shalom, To quote the Dog-fans. We don't see everything he says. It's not all video-taped. What we DO have is Duane's own words, that he does not believe that Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father. He says there are many religions (and compares them to FOOD!). He says there are "Christ-ISH" mediators in all religions. He says he is not a "Jesus-only" or "hell" person. That's not politically-correct, that's BIBLICALLY FALSE RELIGION. He is preaching a false Gospel. He is teaching that there are many ways to get to the Father. He denies that Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father. He is just as dangerous as any other false teacher and he is using TV and his status as an icon as his pulpit. We don't know that he is saved just because he says he is a Christian. His fruit stinks. His words do not reflect that he knows the Jesus of the Bible or how to be saved, according to the Scriptures. No one is judging his heart, but his own words condemn him. People put him up on a pedestal because he is a TV icon and ignore what he is really saying, which is that he is preaching many paths lead to G-d, not Jesus alone. This is dangerous. This is false doctrine. This is false Gospel. And as the Bible says, many people will buy it, hook line and sinker.

What is that one issue that you really care about?
Vickilynn replied to forrestkc's topic in General Discussion
Shalom, ISRAEL. For if we, the people of G-d, do not understand literal Israel and their relationship to the church and their role in the return of the Messiah, we are missing very important truths and may miss much more. We also should pray for those precious unsaved Jews who are beloved of G-d for the sale of the patriarchs. We also should pray for peace in the land, as the Word states. -
Shalom SP, Oh please, right back atcha! Read Dog's comments about what he believes about Jesus. That HE is NOT the ONLY way to get to the Father. And yes, they DO need help in seeing the truth from the Bible, like it or not. No one is condemning them, so don't play that Straw Man card dear. What is being discussed here is the BIBLE vs all y'all's opinions. I'm here to stand on the Word, not man's opinion. You can condemn ME for that, but you won't condemn someone preaching a FALSE GOSPEL because he's on TV and you're a fan of his? Hmmmm. Very telling. The Bible is very clear not to overlook these things that y'all want to overlook because you are fans of his. Talk about a straw man....................................... Shalom SP, The BIBLE and the real doctrine of Messiah being the ONLY way to the Father is the issue. The Straw Man is y'all weighing in with your opinions about whether he is saved or not. By his words words, he does not know the REAL Jesus.

Shalom Eric, Because people are exalting him as a Christian. Because people need to know the truth about this icon who says he is a Christian yet preaches a false religion, false Jesus. SO people can PRAY for him to find the real Jesus, rather than PRAISE him because he is a TV icon. Because the Bible says to speak the truth and expose the lie.

Favorite all-time secular/Christian song?
Vickilynn replied to MeCajunboy's topic in General Discussion
Shalom, Oh, SOOO many to choose from. I love 50's and 60's music, as well as early 70's (not disco), but classic rock. I think ONE of my favorite secular songs is "Aimee" by Pure Prairie League. The same goes for Christian songs. I've been a Christian since the late 60's and I love, love, love those CCM songs from that time. Especially Bryan Duncan, and others. I guess if I had to pick one, it would be "Only Jesus", written by my friend and recorded and made famous by Dion DiMucci. From his album entitled "Only Jesus. This song was our recessional at our wedding, (25 years ago) sung by the writer, using Dion's background trax. Awesome. -
Shalom LadyC, What you personally believe is not the question. What I personally believe is not the question. Nor do our opinions matter. We must hold their ACTIONS up to the Scriptures. We must hold their WORDS up to the Scriptures. Y'all can gloss over the profanity, the immoral sexual behavior and everything else, but you CANNOT disregard Duane's own words where he is preaching a false Gospel of many ways to the Father and "Christ-ISH" figures in every religion. THAT does not stand up to the Scriptures as Christian. No matter what we want to personally believe.

Shalom, Of course he is a teacher. We are all teachers when we teach others about Jesus. He is teaching others and what he is teaching is NOT the real Jesus, but MANY "Christ-ISH" ways to the Father. That is a false religion, not Christianity.
-
!!! I missed that one; I didn't even know the Dog preached anything. He's not a preacher....is he? Shalom Glory, Yes, he is. When he's teaching to others and NOT teaching the truth. He teaches and preaches that there is MORE than one way to the Father. That is false Gospel.

Shalom, This is false doctrine and not Christian doctrine: DOG: Everybody

Can you give a reference to where they said there are more ways than one to the Father, besides saying that they said it on TV, Give us a link...other wise, I have to put that on the book shelf until I have evidence...I have learned not to just take someone's word on something... Shalom, <sigh> Please go back a page and see my post with the exact quote from Duane. No one is asking you to take anyone's word for anything. I would really love to know where duane goes to church.. we all are complete in Jesus due to His sacrifice of His Life and shedding of His blood but rough edges are not getting that much smoother and may not get too much smoother. Beth is one scarey person. But if you were to compare to his old life in comparison to his new life...there has been a change. People do sit on the same log for a awful long time... Shalom, People can change without G-d. Alcoholics can get sober. Drug addicts can get clean. Prostitutes can go straight. Outward change alone is not evidence of being a Christian.

Shalom, Of course you are questioning me. You wouldn't have said this: "How do I know you didn't just type that." http://www.beliefnet.com/story/216/story_21616.html

Shalom Glory, I'm sure she's a wonderful person. That's not the point. The point is, some people here are putting Duane and Beth up on a Christian pedestal and we have to look past our own warm fuzzy emotions and go by the Word of G-d. That doesn't mean we are to hate the sinner! NO. However, we are not to hold them us as Christian examples when they live in unrepentant sin. Her "rough edges" are actually things spoken AGAINST in the Bible. These are more than "rough edges" for a Christian, they are disregarding the Word of G-d. This is a serious issue. I agree, they wouldn't be people I would look to for Christian values. I think we've all known people, whom we know to be good at heart, but their lifestyle precludes our being best friends with them. In the case of Dog and his family, I would probably like them but I don't think I would hang out with them because I don't want to BE like them. Am I making any sense? Shalom Glory, Perfect sense. Yet, we need to be even MORE diligent. Duane is preaching a false gospel as well as living like a heathen. Please read his quote about Jesus not being the only Mediator. Post #39.

Shalom, There is nothing judgmental about living by the Word of G-d. We ARE to judge fruit. We ARE to call sin sin. We ARE not to water-down the Gospel and say there are many "Christ-ISH" ways to the Father. That is not judging someone's heart, that is judging their fruit, which is our Biblical responsibility. There IS something wrong and judgmental by posting that living by the Word of G-d is judging someone's heart. So, look at who is judging.

Shalom, You keep saying the same thing. Sorry, it doesn't make it true the more you say it. The WORD is the authority. According to Duane, there are "Christ-ISH" ways in every religion to get to the Father. That's not Christian doctrine.
-
Shalom, OK, y'all want to make him out to be a "Christian", but in his OWN words, he does not believe Jesus is the ONLY WAY. I'm sorry to tell you this, but just because someone says they are a "Christian", does not mean they are born-again, children of G-d. He says he "believes" in Jesus. That doesn't make him a Christian. Even the demons believe. Duane preaches another Gospel, NOT the Gospel of Jesus, the ONLY Mediator.

Shalom, AGAIN, if they continue in it, they have not repented of it. Repent means to turn away from doing it. That is clearly not happening.
-
It's the mullet...isn't it? I don't trust a guy with that mullet! His wife on the other hand...scares me...a lot. Oh, come on! Dog's wife comes across as a big hearted woman, a little rough around the edges, but a nice lady nonetheless. Shalom, With THAT sewer mouth? With what she wears? Nothing nice about her.
-
Shalom, Again, they CONTINUE in their sin. It is videotaped. So, no, they have not repented. You can argue all you want. The Word says clearly that we are to judge their fruit. And that's what is being done. Again, the BIBLE is the authority, not opinion.
-
' Shalom, We are to judge their fruit. The fruit is unrepented sin. That's plain for all to see and hear. It's on VIDEO.
-
Shalom, They curse, they use filthy, filthy language on video. They have not repented of that sin publicly. And they CONTINUE in their sin. That is not repentance. So, no, they have not repented. According to the SCRIPTURES, there is. The Bible is the authority, not your opinion.
