The flying I love, it's the air terminals I am not too keen on. I think it takes longer to get through passport control, security etc etc and endless hours of waiting until you are actually in the air - 'spose we have to live with it yea,I hate the terminals as well..I just bring a book with me or something and do lots of reading. One time I was going to Chicago, took about 3hrs at the airport basically doing nothing until I was finally on the plane.

It is not wrong to play online games or any video game. Sorry but I cant stand it when people say 'Is this wrong?' for everything..in that case, we should all quit doing whatever we like to do and just read the Bible all the time. Reading the Bible is great..but you gotta have some excitment in your life and not worring about the little things if its wrong or not.

I was wondering what your views on drinking are. I've heard many times from people that drinking is not a sin, only if you get drunk its a sin so you have to make sure you know when to stop and control your self. Is this true? I'll admit,Ive dranked a few times..but not to get drunk, just a glass of wine (wine coolers and such) here and there but Ive never been drunk. People tell me Jesus drank wine all the time when they drink, does that make it ok? I have some friends who are very heavy drinkers. Any help would be great.

Everyone knows the pattern of joy! If it is growling or harsh screams, then it is NOT joy. The language of joy is unmistakeable, and not to do with preference! Joy is expressed with unity, and is universally understood. If one has to question it, then it's a good bet that it is not joy that is being expressed! well, maybe thats how there expressing their joy? like it says at top...What is joyful to one may not be joyful to another. That is not true. People consider joy and emotion and they certainly can express that in any particular way they desire...but the Joy of the Lord is UNMISTAKEABLE! It is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit and is often seen in worship and in prayer. Growls such as is mentioned here, is not in keeping with the Holy God...but rather seems to be a demonic manifestation, a counterfeit. Anything that is not in unity with the character of the Holy Spirit is not of God. ok,can you tell me how this song is not in keeping with the Holy God? by a Christian hardcore/metal band who growls and screams alot. 'Sons of Thunder' Yeah, this is our victorysong A song of hope and faith When all seems dark and dull Yeah, this is our victorysong It makes our hearts believe And force the dark away. Yeah, this is our powersong The spirit of our God He lives within our hearts Yeah, this is our powersong When we believe in Him The power

I found this essay to help prove to those who dont believe there is a thing called 'Christian hard rock, hardcore, deathmetal, etc.' and it comes from the devil, blah blah. Hope you guys enjoy it. Courtesy of www.godcore.com All rock music is used for non-Christian purposes. Rock music is solely a genre of music. Categorizing all people who play a particular genre of music as playing music with inherently non-Christians purposes is completely absurd. There are, in fact, many Christians who exist within the realm of rock music who continue to be the light of Christ wherever they go. For more information please see our essay on rock music located here. Can't rock music, with its fast paced beat and usual depressing lyrics, cause emotional instability? Teenagers dealing with trying to fit in, find themselves, and/or the angst of growing up are often times the subject of most rock songs, since that is what most teenagers are going through and what the artist has gone through or is going through. Most artists will use this time in their teen years as a testimony as to what God has done in them, and brought them through. Godcore fully condones anything that gives God the glory rather than anything else. Some rock music has inharmonious sounds. How can this be pleasing to any ear, and especially to God? With most up-and-coming genres and fusion genres, distortion is used quite heavily, and as such, most of it sounds almost like noise. God has created our minds in such a way that we are creative enough to break the mold of normal use of the guitar and able to use that ability to create the sound we desire. It is the artist's prerogative to use whatever sound they would like. As ridiculous as it may sound, people often love the sound of distorted guitars and such. God has designed harmony itself. Who is to say what is inharmonious? It is my belief that God finds anything that glorifies him and nothing else harmonious. There are genres of rock music that have growling or screaming; how is this worshipful? The Bible tells us to make a joyful noise unto him (Psalms 66:1). What is joyful to one may not be joyful to another, and vice-versa. Just as one may not like this food or another--it is personal preference. There is no guideline in the Bible that shows us how we are to make that joyful noise unto our Lord. The way we worship is not with our mouths alone, but it is with our lives. We must pick up our cross, and worship with our bodies and living sacrifices. Whether we growl or scream during worship should be a non-issue, the issue should be whether we worship or not. Can we trust this music to minister to our children? The same can be asked of anything that is bought within the Christian bookstore, or in your local church. The truth is that we must look at the product itself and see what it has to offer. Christians will be known by their fruit and the same can be said for bands who wish to spread the Gospel through their music: we will know them by their fruits. Why don't the lyrics that I find on the CD's that I bought for my kids at the Bible bookstore have anything to do with God? This is the artist's preference. Some of the time the artist may wish to use a parable just as Jesus taught; they may take their life experience and use it as a testimony; or they may be sharing a story of how they see God through their lover's heart, or through nature. Mentioning God's name, or stating a well known Bible verse does not make the song Godly and vice-versa, not mentioning God's name does not equate malevolence. This band looks really dark and evil. How can they serve God when they look like that? There is an incredible difference between looking something, and being something. God does not judge us by our outwardly appearance and neither should we. Jesus may have looked angry to those bystanders who saw him turn over the tables of the money changers, but as we know, anger is not a fruit of the Spirit, and so we know he was not angry. Judging a person based solely upon appearance is doing you and the person an injustice. Why do the kids at these concerts push, shove and punch one another? That doesn't seem very loving. Godcore in no way condones the use of violence in any situation. The pushing, shoving, punching, and often kicking that you describe is what is called "moshing." Moshing has become a growing trend in the rock community, and it started out as a way of expressing one's self. When these bands scream "Jesus," aren't they using the Lord's name in vain? Certainly not! When in prayer, is using God's name using it in vain? When calling on the name of the Lord, we do not do it in vain, but we do it because we realize that we cannot do it on our own, but through Christ all things are possible. This is not saying that all bands who use God's name are doing it out of prostration. I really liked how they explained all of this. I'll be sure to use this the next time someone tells me 'there is no such thing as Christian hard rock, etc'

I would think God does bring 'Mr.Right' to 'Mrs. Right' I also think God wants some people to stay single (so then other people can learn from the person that is single how its like and stuff) I'm praying alot for my 'future wife' whoever she maybe and that God will help me find the right lady but if he wants me to stay single, thats fine as well.

Bald Britney Spears Sits For Tattoo
ChristianHardRocker replied to Marnie's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
no kidding, tons of people shave their heads. Whats the big deal? Just because its Brittney Spears...wow. Instead of having a report on Brittney spears shaving her head, they should have a report on how many people shave their head for cancer. That would be a better story. -
You just love to bring me down that it seems I cant do nothing right As your pulling me further down to you making me think your the angel of light (2 Cor 11:14) Believing all your lies, how can I be so foolish? When your weaving your way in me watching me build all this anger inside This depression is getting stronger Too strong for me to handle I need you now more than ever Lift me up Lord before I break! I'm drowning, through these waves falling further and further down Im screaming for you,to rescue me I surrender my everything to you I had enough! If you have any suggestions, that would be great! Im pretty stuck on writing the rest right now but thats what I have so far. What do you all think?

It wont let me post my testimony in the testimony forum so Im going to post it here. (Mods can move this there if they wish) I grew up in a christian home (parents are pastors) I went to church, sunday school and all that. Believed in God when I was little. But then,I started playing baseball. It was cool for the first few years...from when I was 6-13yrs old. I still went to church and was the friendly guy but then it hit me. As soon as I made that first all star team...it totally changed my life. Thats when I knew, I loved baseball more then anything else and I was really good at it. I started turning my life the wrong way. Stopped going to church (because we played on alot of sundays) and during the winter..I'd always be training, working out (no time for church) because I wanted to stay good at baseball and keep on getting better at it. I started losing my friends, they didnt want to be around me anymore because I had no time for them. I had lots of arguments with my family..my parents stopped coming to my games when I was 14. That made me keep on playing baseball even more. By the time I was 16,17. I was being scouted by some Major league teams...Colorado and Pittsburgh. I was being invited to try out camps (it was awesome being a pro for that very short time..a week) that made me even more cockier then I was before. I had a very short temper...Id be kicked out of games for swearing at the ump (especially if he made a bad call) that was part of my passion for the game, and I wouldnt care what anyone would think cause I love the game so much. I wanted baseball to be my career and I was pretty close at making it. Then, the best thing probably happened in my life. I was pitching in a game, it was near the end of the game...I remember it perfectly...I threw a curveball, heard a big pop in my shoulder and dropped to the ground. The doctor said, since Ive been pitching all my life..the pitching had totally damaged my arm and he told me I couldnt play baseball anymore and if I did...my shoulder would be ruined for life (it still is pretty bad right now) I was depresed, for the longest time. My career,my life was over. Everything I had work for..was gone, in just a second. I went to this youth camp retreat for a weekend, and there was this awesome speaker there. He talked about what God wanted in our life. I thought God was trying to ruin my life (although he was in a good way) I talked to the speaker for awhile and gave my life back to God. I had enough of my life..I wanted to get friends back and be on they're good side all the time. Because really, when I was playing baseball...pretty much only my team mates were my friends. I had no friends outside of baseball much. Only very few. When I was younger (around 14) I started learning the guitar when I wasnt playing baseball. I knew it would come in handy someday..as of now,Im playing electric guitar in a Christian hard rock band. I love it when we jam,and worship God...I can seriously do that all night when Im playing guitar. I still get depressed about the baseball, knowing I was so close..just inches away but im working on that. I love the game of baseball and have season tickets to a baseball team of the city here where I live. Since I cant play the game anymore, I support it by buying season tickets and being a hardcore fan of my city's team (that I use to practice with) my life is for God now though, although I struggle alot through this and my past. Im putting more and more trust in him.
