Yeah, they were trying out something and ripped the wing off apparently that usually happens when a plane is either overloaded weight wise or turning while flying too fast...... asuming there isn't a serious design flaw (which would be very unlike israel's talents.) Some engineer forgot to multiply something by 2

I really hope the sanctions work and that we are all wrong about it. I somehow have my doubts. War with Iran is bad to all involved. It won't end with Iran either. It will be a regional, if not larger, war On the other hand if the sanctions don't work and they get a bomb it will be a direct threat to Israel and others too probably. In that case there will be a war with Iran again. In fact the same scenario as above except this time Iran has a nuke at their disposal. What a choice to make.... :noidea:

Why should I see this as "news"? It would be nice to have you write a weekly/daily piece on what you see happening in Israel and the surrounding areas. We, who do not live near or in the area, would like to know first hand. Well, at least I would ... Until then, we take the news as it comes to us. Sorry Onelight, You are right of course. I was referring to the fact that I've been hearing this kind of stuff for donkey's years now, so....news, it is not (for me) As for writing news.... I don't like doing that as there is so much of it everywhere and all the time, and I should add more? I'm sure there are many good reporters who write about almost any place on Earth, and do it a lot better than I ever could. I just respond to the news with little posts

There is something deeper in it all when the Hamas charter talks of killing JEWS.... not Israelis or Zionists!! I have friends who don't understand why I don't trust their "peace talks" :noidea: -
Israel to Restore Clean Water to Jordan River
hupo replied to nebula's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
That is a great promise but I have my doubts as to whether it is practical Israel is mostly a desert country Maybe if we took water from the meditteranian sea and took the salt out on the way, we could then do what is promised and save the dead sea too while we're at it! -
THE JEWISH--MUSLIM WAR--A NUCLEAR CONFRONTATION-
hupo replied to joi's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
It's generally recognized that human beings live to 120 max now-days Based on Deu 34:7 Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eye was undimmed, and his vigor unabated. We have a blessing that says "may you live to 120" -

Oh really... Well, you can interpret whichever part of the bible you wish. I prefer looking at God's promises Either way is not going to make a dent in God's plan (Whatever it is!!) but it makes a big difference in my personal life the way I hear God's voice Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Isa 40:29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Isa 40:30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; Isa 40:31 but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Pro 1:33 but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster." Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. and just in case we don't understand it all... Rom 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Please excuse me for not joining the pessimists club Hupo, there are a lot of events that have occurred that no one ever thought would happen just recently, none of which were prophesied events, like WWI and WWII, the fall of the Berlin Wall, or 9/11. There may be a major catastrophic battles that take place in the interim before we see the actual prophesied events. The Bible is clear about one thing, it is going to get worse before it gets better. That is not pessimism; it is simply a matter of taking God at his word. The verse you use above have nothing to do with this. These promises that God has given us to hold on to in the midst of calamaties, trials and tribulations. They are not an assuranc agaisnt those bad events. We are not being pessimistic. We are being realistic. No problem Shilo I agree with you and 'other one' But like I said, my reality is eternity. What happens here can be (and probably will be) bad but what is a mere 120 years in an eternity? I have to look at it this way or I could really go nuts with what we have to put up with -

I hate to throw cold water of the upcoming pessemistic prophecies but lets face it: Who is really in charge? If God wills WWIII then nothing will stop it If God will not allow it, it just won't happen! The God I know isn't into destroying His creation !! -
US Troops surround Syria on eve of invasion?
hupo replied to joi's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
The only thing we hear, here in Israel, is what the media say which is US troops from Iraq going into Jordan as a counter move to Syria's military massing in that area A bit heavier training on the Golan is all I hear in reality
