hehehe..... reminds me of something Leonard Cohen wrote They sentenced me to twenty years of boredom For trying to change the system from within I'm coming now, I'm coming to reward them First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin First we take Damascus, then we take Tel-Aviv I'm guided by a signal in the heavens (Allah? Muhamed? 72 virgins!) I'm guided by this birthmark on my skin I'm guided by the beauty of our weapons (quite prophetic, Leonard!) First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin First we take Damascus, then we take Tel-Aviv

So far that is just more talk. Not that it might not happen but I wouldn't hold my breath about it I wish the media wouldn't be working on "panic mode" 24 hours of the day. A day here and there will be enough -
Ah yes Shilo, It sounds so great on paper but we are not living in a black and white world. I can easily agree with you in principle and would if I wasn't so involved in it all. I have 6 kids and 13 grandchildren to think about, not to mention larger circles around me. You say we could have stopped terrorism ages ago if........ Here I disagree with you. There are over 1 billion Muslims in the world, a large number of which want us wiped off the map (I'll refrain from using the inclusive "All"). The IDF is a very good strong army but it has it's limits. I know from personal experience what the media doesn't talk about. It is not pretty. Some of it has been written about inn the media. We are also very advanced technologically, true but here to there is a limit. We do need the US and other countries as allies. Ignoring that is a very close picture to Samson's way. Talks about destroying terrorism sounds very impractical especially observing how the whole Western world is "so successfully" dealing with it. You have great faith in our little country, it seems. I do too, or I wouldn't be living in the middle of a hornets nest for 65 years. So while I agree with your principles I cannot go along with the practical manifestation of those principles. I promise I will not shed a tear if Palestinians suddenly vanish off the face of the Earth. It is not going to happen. I do however appreciate your point of view as it forces me to look the problem in the face . I thank you for that.

They should know beforehand who their "Father" will be -
It is all very well to say it is not about love or hate but a matter of facing reality. Part of that reality is that Israel is NOT an almighty power! We are strong, yes, out of years of necessity but ignoring the world is NOT being very practical! The world acts the way it does and whether we like it or not we should at least listen to what is being said. I am not saying we should bow down to every whim of the Un United Nations, but it would be pretty reckless to ignore everyone. We can ignore the facts but one of these facts is that we DO DEPEND ON FOREIGN AID!! whether we like it or not So surviving in this world means acting with common sense and not be a hero like Samson. We know what his end was. But beyond all this. It is a spiritual battle. If I hate my enemy I have lost the battle!! Fight them, yes!! By all means, but not with hatred. I think this is what Yeshua meant by loving our enemies.

Somehow I don't feel God wants me to hate my enemies. Am I wrong? We shouldn't give in to their whims and terrorist actions. But we should remember, as much as we sometimes would like to think otherwise, they too are God's children I will fight anyone who tries to kill me or mine but if I hate them. I have lost a huge spiritual battle. This is not a theory. I've been through several wars by now. I have all the reasons in the world to hate them. But Isn't that what God is all about?!!

LOL, sorry about the double dutch, I got carried away with rhetorics I mean that we are a proud people and a bit of humility would take us a long way in seeing WHO is really behind it all ! We are proud of our history and ourselves as the achieving power behind it all With all due respect to the many good people along our time line, including the IDF which I have been part of, we should give at least some credit to the entity who does not sleep or slumber to guard us for many years now
-
No changes here. We are used to acts of terror for 65 years now What has changed by tonight's decision? I'll tell you what they did manage to achieve. They hurt our national ego. They hurt what we call the national erection I think it will do us good if we lose some of that pride and start smelling the (Real!) coffee

Op: Hamas and Israel: Who Respects Palestinian Lives More?

Peace?! What? Where? When? How? Please tell me. I would love to know ! (we ARE talking about planet Earth, right?) -
Have to admit it is quite a clever move on their part, not that it will get peace any closer They chose 29th November which is the day the UN voted for a Jewish state Psychologically it will have quite an effect on their people OK, But...... now what? I don't think they know how to plan for for than two steps ahead and in this "chess game" that is what one has to do
